Finally! A guitarist that makes it simple and sounds good. And gets straight to the point with no long talking. Liked and subscribed. I'm trying this out tonight!
Absolutely click with how this guy teaches. This channel has helped me with note memorizing across all six strings. The approach and style of his lessons are prefect for me.
Nicely done. Great example of expressive story telling throughout the fretboard. Not feeling locked into one pattern of a scale at a time , moving through them while recognizing the root notes and while keeping your timing with the backing track or metronome is super helpful to growing. Thank you.
I’m so glad you found my channel and I hope you really enjoy the content. I’m 54 years young and absolutely love to play music. It’s what we all need in this crazy world. God Bless my friend ❤️
Outstanding lesson. Less is more, focusing on key notes and changing the pick pattern and timing. Very good for me to learn to a good backing track. Different techniques you illustrated got my attention. Thanks so much.
This lesson hooked me. Just what I needed to help me on my journey to actually play a solo that sounds good to me and perhaps others. You have another new subscriber. Thanks for making this content.
You guys have some great lessons online. Thank you so much! I have been playing rhythm guitar for over 40 years and I'm trying to learn how to play lead and to be able to improvise when playing with others. This video really, really has helped me a LOT!
Happy New Year Sheldon! Enjoyed this lesson. Sounds wonderful. Great explanation on how to use all of the Minor pentatonic shapes. Will be working on this tonight also. Thanks.
Yeow, this is the best video I've ever seen about squeezing the most out of the Am pentatonic scale. All other vids are way too much talking, too much added stuff (Major scale etc) and "stupid fast" runs, too fast for us newbs to follow. I can follow this. I jammed along with you the whole way. All I can suggest for the future is a "call and response" video where we copy or complement your phrases. You specialize in "older" players you say. Well I'm as old as it gets (77 this month but I feel 47) so I'll test your stuff to the core! Thank you! Mike in Ontario.
Thanks so much for that feedback. I plan on doing a live show once a week where students can chime in on what they want to learn and also a group live lesson and jam where you all can play back for me what we are learning in the session
Outstanding. My son is starting to play and getting interested in the theory of music, and of course I’m showing him the pentatonic scales I think this will be extremely valuable for him to be able to watch when he wants to. You have a new subscriber, really good job
Thanks 🙏 Steven. Stick with me and you will. I will be starting a weekly live stream every Sunday soon and I will be able to chat and help out my audience better ❤️
WOW!!! Finally... after searching só long for a video that would help me to improve my soloing I found it now! Thank you só much Sheldon. Now I am going to be so good as I wish. The very very best video on the internet of his kind. And of course I will subscribe! Thuhuh.... Is the pope catholic? 😄
Dude, this is so cool, I'm going to deep dive into your Videos. I stopped playing years ago because I got my fret hand thumb twisted in a printing press, I never lost the love of music though, so for years I made and modified guitars for friends and myself, and suddenly after about 20 yrs, my thumb has started working correctly again and I'm watching your playing and I'm thinking I might be able to pull off some of these licks..I'm loving your Tone, I still have an old Fender Twin Reverb from the late 60's but I'm sure you're going into DAW or something, I would love to know how you're getting the sounds from that Yellow Strat.
Hey I’m so glad your thumb is back working and your playing again also feel free to ask me anything about playing. The tone I get from a digitech gsp1101. And I also use Guitar Rig from time to time . I could send you my settings if ya like. All the best and thanks for the sub. ❤️❤️
@@GuitarLessonsMadeEasy Oh boy, another effects box 😃, I have a Zoom G1X Four multi effects Pedal, a brand new Leo Jaymz Silver Box multi effects processor, 2 Positive Grid Spark Amps 1) 40 watt and 1) Spark Go as well as a Fender Mustang LT 25 Amp with multi effects, I think when I get some time, I'll make my own Settings in one or more of those, I was hoping you'd say "it's just a little Reverb and just a touch of Delay, with tone knobs on the Amp simulator at 12 o'clock..." it's cool I'll figure it out.
Hi Scott. Great question. So the two trouble notes we call them sometimes is B and F and the pentatonic scale leaves them out so you Can start and end on any note in the scale and you will be fine my friend. The reason F and B from the full Am scale sound bad at times is a whole other lesson but someday I will get a video on that up ❤

Where do we find the backing track Sheldon?
Hi it’s in the description. The musicca link
Cool 🤗🤗
Where is the link to the backing track
Hello there it’s in the description
Sorry to bother you but I found the link for the course and am a member now!
What I see you hit notes out of the scale . But you just don't end on them or start on the correct?
Hi Scott. Great question. So the two trouble notes we call them sometimes is B and F and the pentatonic scale leaves them out so you
Can start and end on any note in the scale and you will be fine my friend. The reason F and B from the full Am scale sound bad at times is a whole other lesson but someday I will get a video on that up ❤
@GuitarLessonsMadeEasy thanks for your reply back
Hi Sheldon awesome channel! See you are in Canada! So am I :) where abouts are you? Ontario?
Thanks. I’m in Cape Breton Happy New Year my friend !
Ontario for me (SW). I'm a newb here but not to 10,000 other sites (sigh!). Sheldon's is the best so far.
Did you mention what the chord progression is?
Hi the chord progression is labeled yes when you click the backing track link. Am G F G
Awesome learnt two notes
Awesome. Hope you get some good info from the videos ❤️
@GuitarLessonsMadeEasy you're, correct, its the feel and placement of the melody phrases not the speed or amount of notes
You were wrong about not teaching a lot in this lesson. For me It was a Masterclass in the Art of Soloing.
I am glad you got so much out of it.❤️
13 minutes well spent
Thanks I’m glad you liked the video ❤️
