A lot of UA-cam covers sound like high school chorus versions ...yeah they can carry a tune, but the timbre and soul of the original is just not there.
But imy2 produces these unbelievable renditions that are like a live studio session with the original artists ... But even a little sweeter. This was unbelievable! Goosebumps...

I like that you know how to use a 'rock' voice vs using a 'pop' voice. Some women only use the 'sultry' tone even when it makes no sense for the type of song it is.

@@Saje3D As a musician I and many others appreciate constructive criticism and compliments. As a musician nothing pisses me off more than seeing a good song slaughtered and have people pull the "artistic liberty" card as an excuse for not putting in more effort in the studio.
He's right that the "feel" of this song is aggressive not sexy and he's expressing his appreciation for the singer preserving that grit where other covers on UA-cam don't making the song feel lifeless and toothless.
Pat Benatar rocks! This is a great song and a perfect fit for all of you. Have you considered covering Joan Jett?

IMHO for a good cover, the most important thing is to have a voice that fits the original song. If you achieve that, you've nailed it. The musicians or arrangements of the song come second, this a good cover.
