Right!? I get pretty frustrated especially with the drugstore pictures (some are up next to me wearing and swatching in the video) because they are not even CLOSE to accurate.
Could you do a video on makeup products for people with dark hair and pale skin? I feel like we tend to need richer shades for contrast. Thanks for you channel--it's nice to have another genuinely fair person for recommendations!
Did you see my latest drugstore Fall eyeshadow video by chance? So many of those palettes are much more deep and intense and rich in colors that would all look fantastic on dark hair and cool toned skin for sure! I do have a whole collection of cool toned videos here and will definitely be making more as it's my fave topic! ua-cam.com/play/PLc7vMMVbbmhcznBtqtdfeErBdzmqmDpeU.html
Thank you! I love it too and can't wait to share it in my upcoming fave single pot shadows/looks video I'm working on right now. This is literally just 2 of the Kulfi shadow pot colors!
Thank you for the inspiration, Jessica! I can’t wear rusty colors at all, but I’m definitely going to pull out my dark Plummy colors! That ABH powdery mauve one you showed is divine! Would love to see your fall clothing and jewelry picks! Not necessarily new things, but maybe share some of your favorites you already have in your closet!
I have so many plummy colored lippies that I had to limit myself for the video. They are my faves but I also have 10 different versions of basically the same color. 🤭 Also I agree that super dusty mauve from ABH is awesome. It’s one I’ve been looking for since they discontinued the similar Bite Beauty stick version of that same color. I might have to think about that fall clothing and jewelry video…usually those take awhile to put together 😉 right now I’m mulling a Fall eyeshadow palette drugstore edition video, an eyeshadow singles favorite eye looks/pot & stick shadows video and I’ve been testing the new Dior stick foundation that I’m really liking so far surprisingly while I’m waiting for the new Huda Beauty Blurring primer and foundation to come out.
@@redgirlreviews Those videos all sound fun! Looking forward to them! I just got a bunch of new jewelry to fill some holes in my jewelry wardrobe, and I also sold some I wasn't wearing. My local Sundance store had a big sale and I got some great deals! I also ordered a few things based on Nikki LaRose's recent jewelry recommendations (those websites also had great sales). So, a really great jewelry refresh for me! You guys are so kind to let us emulate you! It's so fun when you find content creators whose style matches your own, and you can get great inspiration. Thanks again for doing what you do for us cool peeps!!
Thank you so much! I’m working on another video using all eyeshadow singles for simple but sparkly looks and that look is going in there. It’s using the Kulfi shimmer shadow pots which are new to me and gorgeous!
This was super helpful! My skin tone is very similar, so it was really useful to see all of these on someone with my complexion. My favourite shades you featured were Matte With Love and Kebi. Love your fall nails too! 💅
I'm so glad I can be helpful! It's hard to find our skin tone/coloring so I love that we have a place where we can share good finds for us! I'm working on a big Fave Fall Fashion & beauty finds and will include all my latest fave nail polishes soon too! I swear it's the only time I actually wear nail polish because I'm so in love with the colors this part of the year. 😍
Lipsticks have always been something I struggle with, mainly because of some dental issues where I just never want to draw attention to my mouth at all and so usually just go for a quick and easy balm. Also the colors never seem to look right on me, so I'm watching this to encourage myself to try and find some colors that might actually work for me because I have never strictly looked for lipsticks with cool undertones before. Could have been the problem all along!
Hopefully something here will work out for ya! I've always had crowded crooked teeth and tried to do invisalign but it was just too painful for me so I gave up but it has always made me self conscious about smiling fully. I think I kind of use the lipstick as a distraction of something else to look at! 😂
Great finds Jessica 🤩, can't wait for Fall to come it's my favorite season. But it's still very hot summer weather here 🥵 Do you know anything about the Violette_FR Bisou balm sheer lipsticks? I'm being bombarded with ads 😅
Oh man, we got a return of full on summer weather here and I'm NOT into it but I do know that soon it will be gone so that's something to look forward to. ;-) I haven't tried the Violette Bisou balm mostly because I wasn't interested in the colors they are offering esp for the price...the one I think looks maybe good (although I highly suspect it will be too orange in reality) is Calisson and at the end of the day I think it probably is going to be sort of MEH for $50. I did see that a brand calling itself Bisou Balm is doing the same basic idea for bargain pricing (looks Korean) with pretty much the same color offerings so might be worth trying them instead if you like that dry balm look. amzn.to/3Mvv600
Thank you! 🥰 I seem way more overlined in this video than others I think maybe because of the darker colors perhaps. In most of these I'm actually not lined at all, it is just lipstick applied all the way over the edges. When I do a video with a ton of different lip colors I end up with swollen lips after rubbing off lipsticks (esp. dark ones) and to make it worse, I used the smallest amount of filler on my top lip line to even it out several months ago and the swelling of that area is just not what I was hoping for. I went to a different provider, specifically said 'don't give me duck lips' and then he did just that unfortunately. So, I went back to my usual guy (you have to wait a long time to see him because he's popular) and had him remove some of it but some still remains. At this point, I'm just waiting for it to go away on it's own...ugh. Next time I will stick with my original doc and get it done right. I don't want size or someone else's lips, just an even lip line since I review and show lipstick all the time! Anyway, loooong explanation for what looks like over lining but actually isn't! 🤣
I have a couple of suggestions. L'oreal Color Riche lipstick in Montmartre is a medium tone cool nude that works. It was an Oprah faborite. Bobby Brown Lip Crush in Blue Iris is a bit cooler and very flattering. I have mauve lips, blue green eyes and silver hair. Both are not drying with good wear time. For pencils Nudestix Boho is cool enough, smudges out nicely, and is hydrating. Good for irregular lip line. LA girl Satin Plum is a medium tone cool plum that is drier, which I prefer for the actual lip. I wear them together.
@@Booksanddogs7 thx! I will check these out! I’ve swatched Baby so many times in Sephora and almost bought it several times but was worried that it would read just a tad too warm in natural light on me. I just saw Merit expanded their stick foundation range by two whole lighter shades and may have to go pick those up since Bone is just a bit too dark but I love the formula…might have to give Baby another swatch too 😉
Thank you! So YES I'm currently working on a video with single pot eyeshadow more simple looks and this one is from using only 2 of the new Kulfi shadow pots...they are SO good!
Thanks! I just picked this one up and love the color. I do recommend using a nice clear topcoat though otherwise the glitter feels a bit rough on the surface. amzn.to/3yXhbgj

Have you heard of honeybee gardens lipstick? I just got the shade San Francisco, which is really pretty, but I have never heard of this brand so I have no idea whether it's a good quality brand. I just saw it in the natural grocery store.
I also saw Tati talking about them and I almost bought them on Amazon awhile ago but wasn’t sure the colors wouldn’t be too warm so I hesitated…might have to give them a second look!
@@redgirlreviews From what I saw in the store, there were two colors that work for a cool, fair person. One was the color I got, which is a light mauvey cranberry, a bit transparent and has a little sparkle in it. The other is basically the same color but matte and opaque.
you know, that's interesting because the one I got from Sephora (Bliss) doesn't do that at all but then I ordered a different color off of amazon and it seemed like the formula wasn't as nice...I actually returned it so I wonder if there is not good quality control or if I got a fake one off Amazon...
just discovered your channel and i’m so happy that I found another redhead cool toned pale girly 🩷 love your channel, binging lots of your reviews now :) based on what you like I would love to recommend the Rom&nd juicy lasting tint in the shade Nucadamia! I think it looks so so good and lasts quite well, my holy grail honestly:)
I’ll never get over how different lip products look online compared to on our cool fair skin. Thanks so much for this!
