Fuck when you hear it all in succession like this, it's quite a grim story of all sense of purpose fizzling away as the adventurers are slowly descending into madness, initially full of enthusiasm and joy but soon bitter and jaded, losing friends and crucial items and reacting with cold apathy, and in the end just meekly trying to survive at the foot of the frozen mountains like soulless ice husks haunting a hostile wasteland.
Mulraine's story is the craziest. Transitioning to make an asexual wizard love her, kidnapping the baby, attacking and seriously wounding her companions, generally saying incoherent, borderline disturbing things and finally committing suicide by stabbing herself in the face.
@@bewareofthewombat the best part is the suicide note she left behind blew up with the orcs and wagon so we never got to hear her final words, which is very in character.
My head cannon for this ending: remember when they "defeated" Admiral Darkstar at the black keep, and they asked "so of we just said 'and three weeks later'" and spencers response was "they all turned up dead." Whatever darkstars plan was, he needed some shards of power, and it results in everyones death, by the sounds of it. At rose book, they just let darkstar, in possession of an angels body, go about collecting shards of power unhindered. For some time after this, they traveled, perhaps for about three weeks, until finding themselves at a bear cave. Somewhere across the world, darkstar collects the final shard they needed, bringing an abrupt end to all free and natural life Basically, they really did suck at being heroes
Yeah as players shitting all over the DMs narratives that they spent days crafting is not the way to have an entertaining campaign. You do need to let them to some degree take you through a campaign "on rails". Free roam D&D doesn't really work.
@@nolanduarte wow I never thought of this, but if he had a cast who weren't complete idiots. Hell you could include Jeff even. He could make a killing just doing this on zoom with some good people
harmonquest started shortly after this, and they weren't allowed to do DND on harmontown for a year or so while season 1 was in production and for a little while after it released. they started doing shadowrun in the meantime (it wasnt great in my opinion) once they were able to start it up again they did "inquisitors of the silver flame" (also on this channel) which was great until they started falling back into old habits and then it just sort of petered out and stopped. harmonquest is at 3 seasons right now, and i would not be surprised if someone picks it up for a 4th. amazon netflix or hulu would all be very likely.
And that should be it for the re-upload of the old D&D Segments. Enjoy.
Thanks so much for re-uploading everything!
Thanks for all of this. Do they still do D&D?
nice job. this is important. for history.. yeah. I think its important to point out, that without jeff, it doesnt work as well at all.
Thank you. Looking forward to all the Shadowrun episodes.
Thank you I've loved watching these through again

I appreciate this
Seems like a fitting end for our heroes :)

That had it's ups and downs but still glad it's here to enjoy. Thanks for the uploads!
Mass Effect theme for Spencers intro
Never knew that, thought it was written for him by a bard.
Wow, what a ride!
Next scene: Fade in on tombstones with their names on each one.
Sad yo, I was hoping for a conclusion with Admiral Darkstar
I don’t think any conclusion would have happened with 4 drunken comedians. Although that would have been funny.
After Jeff left it stopped being fun
"and it spells out the end"
20:28 "we're looking for an ending."
:(
thanks so they pretty much stopped doing this all togather huh?
Spencer needs to go on his own path, harmon is holding him back

This is the end of D&D? I can't remember if they just stopped playing this series and started playing the cyberpunk D&D?
That is exactly what they did
Ahhh...Mass Effect.
So, what, that's it? That's abrupt.
