I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed but RJ seems so much more relaxed, fun, and friendly since he came out. I'm sure he was always like that but his on screen persona before coming out always seemed a bit cold and aloof. I can really see why Mikey fell in love with him.
Truth be told, he was indeed a very different person before coming out, even when cameras were off, and I could tell Mabuhay Squad could feel it, too. I just had an inkling us being closeted was the main source of most of his personal issues. After coming out, he surprisngly blossomed and transformed into the amazing man I knew he was inside, and I'm just as pleasantly surprised as all of you at it all! ❤❤❤
We were very happy to see the Raptors win as well her in the US. I would have never thought of visiting Taipei till you showed us the country through your eyes! This was so sweet and positive. The interview with all of the reporters etc went so well and I just love that you and RJ were up there together as a couple. Being interviewed together by multiple different types of media and all of their questions were positive. This is such a great step forward for the whole LGBTQ community in both the Philippines and Taiwan, I believe. Also with you guys being in the public eye, doing interviews about being a couple, I really think that you are going to make it easier for some people out there who are too scared to come out. Also, I wasn't going to say anything. I was going to keep my thoughts to myself, but the OP in that comment thread asked him if he would also eat African Grey parrot meat if it was offered to him. And the answer to that was, "if it was customary in that country to eat African Grey parrot meat, then yes. I (he) would try it." I'm afraid that was also what I was reacting to. The whole idea of eating those 2 animals didn't exactly sync with the Mikey that I thought I knew through these vlogs. The guy who was such a big animal lover, like myself. I couldn't wrap my head around it and I just reacted. But then I took a break for a few days, gave myself the time to digest the information and decided that while I disagree and hate the thought of what he was willing or wanting to eat, I have always tried my best to not judge others for their decisions, just because it's not something that I would ever do. It's only one small aspect of Mikey, I still like and respect him for who he is as a person, at least what I know of him. And if that sort of situation comes up again, I will pay more attention to the titles of his vlogs and I just won't watch that specific vlog, as I know what sort of affect it will have on me. I unfortunately didn't pay attention to the title of that specific vlog, or any of them, up to that point. I just watched them every day. So now I read the title! 😊

On a SERIOUS note, I don’t intend to preach 😉 and I hope you have already done so BUT I hope you and RJ have made plans to begin securing your financial futures, individually &/or together! While incomes flow, you should both be saving for your retirement years, and diversifying your investments. Make sure you each have a solid estate plan (seek guidance from an estate planning attorney) and savings for when/if your personal brand wanes or is less sought after. Plan & take action now = no regrets later 😘
