Ireland is really blessed to have Jack and Sam to replace a legendary player like Sexton.Don’t understand why fans and pundits see it as either the one or the other.Use them in tandem.Don’t get divided when you are so blessed with multiple players in a very important position.Ciaran also needs another chance.Best wishes for the Six Nations.🇿🇦
It's nice to see an outside perspective. I fully agree. The media are feeding this either/or argument. You guys are showing that multiple options are workable. Although we don't have the same timezone issues you do.
Yeah Frawley had a shocker against NZ but he’s way better than that and another good option. Also Charlie Tector is another very good OH who has just had zero time there but has even played well at 12. Who knows what other players will emerge as well.
Don't forget that Ireland did not score a single point when Jack Crowley was not on the pitch against New Zealand and Argentina. Prendergast and Frawley are fine players. Let's just wait a couple of years and see who rises to the top. Hopefully all three will continue to progress.
I wouldn’t be waiting a couple of years for anything. Crowley is a good player which I’m glad Ireland have but Prendergast is going to be on another level. He has X factor but needs more games for Leinster. But he could quickly become number one. When you have it you have it.
The Prendergast debate is so much funnier when you remember it was Ciarán Frawley two weeks ago. They'll use Prendergast's age as a reason not to nitpick his performance, but not as a reason to cool the jets and let him develop. They are already considering whether he should have Crowley's spot. He guy has had ONE Irish start against a poor side and almost got red carded 10 minutes in. That they can't see their own bias is absurd.
Is O’Connor putting a positive spin on Prendergast shouldering a fella in the chin? The mental gymnastics to align a cheap shot with toughness would never fly with a player who’s not from Leinster.
The hype machine is on a roll. O’Connor saying Ward/Campbell already then suggesting that even when Prendergast gets the number 10 jersey Jack Crowley will still be his back up. This stuff is mind boggling rubbish
"Catches the eye" with his shoulder 😂 He played well in the second half on attack but his defense was very weak. He was helped by Fiji being a bit of a rabble.
I think Sam has learned his lesson - he was lucky. He could easily have left the field without being able to show his skills and that would have been a loss both for him and Ireland
The IRFU needs to sort the one-sided level in irish rugby , to have leinster top heavy with quality players is bad for the ireland national team bad for supporter bad for the players and bad for bums on seats , they have to grow the other three provinces
@@robhallie See Bernard Jackman on giving the provinces the go-ahead to bid against each other. Connacht could make an offer for a player they need to start that Leinster could not match just to have the same player sit on the bench or on the training squad. Sounds fair to me.
The problem is Ulster. The reason it's a problem is that players want the tax break associated with playing in the Republic when they retire. HMRC don't give the same tax break.
I see O'connor getting a lot of stick but I actually agree with him. There's an intangible thing with Premdergast that does mitigate the shoulder thing or the missed touch kick. He's also so young yet clearly ran the attack. And goal kicking is already solid. The nit picking on television seemed ott. In saying all that leave him alone and let him develop.
Sam P had me guessing whether he was going to kick or pass every time he seemed to get the ball. That was the thing that stood pout to me about him. I'm sure defenders are guessing too. I;m delighted we have two very good 10's who are young, improving, and will be playing for Ireland for some time, barring bad injuries.
This narrative is so insulting to Ciarán Frawley who has proven he is a big game player with his performance in South Africa which Ireland wouldn’t have won had Crowley stayed on the park. However the big injustice here is that Frawley hasn’t started at 10 for Ireland and obviously has had very limited starts for Leinster. So for the media to be saying that it’s between Crowley and Prendergast now is offensive to Frawley. Playing Fiji in a meaningless Autumn match and playing the world champions in a second test in their backyard with all the recent history and needle between the sides are incomparable. Crowley is a good 10, Prendergast has undoubted potential but don’t write off Frawley especially when he has been shabbily treated by both Leinster and now Ireland.
You have a point, Frawley was also unlucky that Osborne got injured so he had to fill in at fullback, otherwise I think he would have got minutes against Fiji at 10 to show what he could do with endless front-foot ball and possession. Personally I'd still pick Frawley at 10 over Prendergast fairly easily, much greater running threat, bigger, stronger. Prendergast looking very good for the future but I wouldn't be penciling him in as the next Dan Carter.
Comment like “Munster are a complete mess at the moment” is indeed very unhelpful by Joe or alternatively just plain divisive. Keep pushing the idea that Leinster is the only place to be as a player and you have a self perpetuating problem for Irish rugby. Another example of the Blue mindset in action! Joe is turning out to be such a miserable fecker and constantly leading the debate down a black hole of despair! The man needs a pick me up or a get him out ASAP.
I find the Sam Prendergast talk so rubbish. He hadn't played a top range match for Leinster ad yet. Yes he was tested a bit on sat and was so lucky to stay on pitch , kicked ball dead, forward passes, back line losing shape at times. I don't see it yet.
indeed... he wouldn't want to go to a bunch of supporters who actually love the game -- being surrounded by D4 thickos is so much easier. they never had a first clue -- so you can easily ignore them
Heres an idea, why not get the other 3 provances to start creating their own talent pool and stop bashing on Leinster because their good at creating their own homemade talented players. What days do we live in, whey you get slandered for creating your own players, and proper player system, but otherz who ignored creating their own structures for decades, bash on Leinster because they were too lazt to do what Leinster did.
Jesus wept, unreal to hear this crap, how you can say he is at the level now is so obviously biased bs it’s madness… And love Ruadhri O Connor feck sake!
Eddie O’Sullivan still not got a clue - even although he’s an exceptional talent gus McCarthy has got into Leinster and Ireland teams through injuries , won’t leave Leinster to go to eddies Munster
“I believe there’s a rumour going round the Stuart Lancaster is going to be Munster’s next coach, I believe it’s not true!” Wtf is he talking about? I believe Michael D Higgins has been asked to be the next no 9 for Fiji but I’ve heard it’s not true! 😂😂😂
Every pundit: Prendergoat has a huge amount of potential, but Crowley still ahead at the MOMENT. Let's see Munster fans: WHINEEEEEE, HOW DARE YOU, POOR US, BLUE MEDIA
the Wonderboy played against a shite team -- and was average at best on the day. Didnt miss him at all when he was off for a stupid yellow. He is a couple of years away from even being able to compete with Crowley. O'Connor is spouting absolute utter shite -- a true D4 thicko at it!

Fully agree. Two talented young outhalfs is what one would call a good problem.
It's nice to see an outside perspective. I fully agree. The media are feeding this either/or argument. You guys are showing that multiple options are workable. Although we don't have the same timezone issues you do.
Why so much debate on one player so early on. What about injury profile and the fact that we need more than 1 option ?
Exactly. For years, delighted to have a few on the way there. Jack looks good with Frawley and Sam well on the way
Yeah Frawley had a shocker against NZ but he’s way better than that and another good option. Also Charlie Tector is another very good OH who has just had zero time there but has even played well at 12. Who knows what other players will emerge as well.

The irony in that last sentence is hilarious

How to tell someone you're from Munster or South Africa without telling them where you're from
@@zenrobotninja right, so you can only criticize a Leinster/Ireland player if you aren’t from Munster or South Africa?

It's getting a bit ridiculous now, true.
Can't force players to move. Not Leinster fault the province has so many good prospects.
From a Leinster fan who completely agrees. Ireland first.
Ireland must come first if we are really serious about WC 2027.

On form, Jordie Barrett should be warming the bench at Leinster. Crazy really.
I agree, the kid, like Crowley has balls
The debate is moot because Caspar Gabriel is gonna overtake all of them in the next few years
Having a name like "Caspar Gabriel" automatically makes you 25% better at everything.
