- Data reveals that 40% of arrests in some parts of the UK involve foreign nationals. In Cambridgeshire, out of over 21,200 arrests between 2021 and 2023, nearly 8,800 (41.5%) involved non-UK citizens, despite them only making up 15% of the population.
Cambridgeshire Police statistics suggest foreign nationals are three times more likely to be arrested than Brits, with an annual arrest rate of 21.5 per 1,000 people compared to 6.5 per 1,000 for UK citizens. Other areas, like Gloucestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire, also show higher arrest rates for foreign nationals.
These figures were gathered from 26 police forces that responded to a Freedom of Information request. However, the data reflects arrests, not individual people, meaning multiple arrests of the same person are counted separately.

Why did you accept it? If you asked in a non threatening manner you committed no offense so why accept a caution , you could have refused and had them take a non offense to court. As I don't know the full facts my advise would be to always talk to a solicitor.

I live in Derbyshire and have noticed that diversity is being spread into most of the villages around here little bits at a time the only problem is with that is that we haven't got extra infrastructure to cope with all the houses and amount of people coming into the areas!!! No extra schools, doctors, dentists or hospitals and the local council's are struggling financially to cope either!!!

Im a MP Police Officer and I put in for a Sergeants Exam and there were 2 courses to go on and i had to pick one. Course A...Which was training to be a detective and learning about crime scene analysis as well as Forensics. And when in uniform you learn some judo and self defence tactics like disarming somebody with a knife or a machete or gun plus stop and search and some real basic training like crowd control this is the course i picked. Course B.....The other Candidate picked this one. Firstly you had to learn to dance the Macarena then there is a 4 day lecture on the Koran in a Mosque and the learning's of the prophet Muhammad. Then a full day of learning how to run away from a gang of muslim men in case you hurt or upset one if there was a scuffle. And the last one was on your uniform and how to wear your gay pride badges and lanyards and remembering to not wear the badge with the thin blue line in it as it might offend somebody. Well I didnt get the sergeant's position the other candidate got it he is now training to be an inspector......

I had to move out of London a couple of years ago and have to go back to visit an embassy. I dread it. I remember when NY was the considered the murder capital of America and felt so glad I didn’t live there, I never expected my home city to turn out to be just as dangerous.

I saw a police officer chasing a suspect, the guy was quick. The officer dropped his bank card, wallet and walkie talky. I thought I would do the right thing and hand it back. They wanted my name, address and phone number.

The issue about policing, which Peter touched on, is this. The word "police" is a verb - the definition being to "control, regulate and keep order". Despite this, the police service has become almost exclusively a response organisation. In simple terms, police officers have lost the concept of having a preventative role. Instead the mindset is a reactive one - i.e. waiting for a crime to happen and then responding (or more often not responding.) There is no visible deterrent to crime on the streets. A complete reset is required, but under woke university educated senior management that will never happen.

If the police are failing to do the job due to very bad management, then that police force should be classed as unfit to serve the public and be made stand down until the rot from the top to bottom is sorted out and emergency force military put in place. No, it's not. You don't have to identify yourself. To get your identity, they would have to arrest you for some offence, and if it transpires, no offence has been committed. You can claim unlawful arrest, innocent until proven guilty.

Years ago. The Police were trained by the military on how to deal with riots and large protest disorders. This all has gone. I worked with two retired senior offices. They told me they retired because of the university types coming as officers. No experience of working from the shop floor.
Our police in my area. Always, in the car not walking the streets. Some have weight issues. I would like to see their fitness test and match it up with what the Military do?
Back around 2005/2009, it would cost the Police Service £162 per call to language line, who would act as the translator for the suspect in custody!
