Do you have a communications degree? Your commentary is the BEST HANDS DOWN out of all the automotive media people! Extremely thorough, very knowledgeable and quick
I own a 2021 Rubicon 4xe and people are blown away how quick they are !!!
I have a 4Xe soft top. Just takes 15 seconds for top down or up. I love it. Although yeah it sucks when you try to put cargo in back. Always trade offs.
Very well spoken. You are a professional speaker. I enjoyed this video very much.
Great review! We have a 24 Sahara 4xe and love it. Drove to Denver from Wisconsin and found it very comfortable. Awesome
What was your highway mpg on this trip? The Sahara has street tires so I am assuming the mpg wasn't terrible? I have a BMW X1 and I can get high 30mpg on the freeway easily. If I drive 65 in ecomode, I can almost get 40mpg.
Loved that you got the Jeep wave on camera. I rented a Wrangler for a long mid PA trip and had to change a tire on the side of the road and you wouldn’t believe the amount of support and brand loyalty the exists among owners. I had four Wrangler owners stop by to make sure I was ok.
That evening after a visit to Target I returned to my rented Wrangler to find that someone left a rubber ducky tied to my car door handle. It took me forever to figure out why lol.
The 24 Willys got some good improvement. I had a 23 and went to a 24, the added rear locker, the side curtain airbags, bigger screen, bigger tires that are K02’s and the same lift that land fenders that the rubicon get plus you can actually make a phone call that people can hear you.
On the power windows, one touch up was not able to be offered because there is not enough room in the thin doors for that module, which includes the safety mechanism to reverse direction.
I’d probably go with the 392. That sound is just incredible 😍
Got $100K to buy one? You can buy two 4xe's for that kind of $$.
Yeah. But the price.
They figured out the antenna. Nice. Still looks amazing.
I love my 4xe however it’s been in shop for weeks for a transmission replacement at 2k miles due to leak
Stellantis quality
These 4XE's have three(3) cooling systems. You can't help but wonder how that's going to play out going down the road. I just purchased my first Wrangler: a 2023 Willys 4-door with manual tranny, windows, and locks. It was the first time I ever bought a vehicle with a pending recall. This Willys was sitting on the dealer's lot when I bought it--waiting for parts. Ha, ha.
Most people aren't going to go hard core off roading so I think the sport trim is the best value. Can't wait to get a used one for 30k.
Just a little correction, the Bronco now comes standard with the 12 inch display.
I have a 23 4xe Willy’s. It’s a good deal if you’re leasing. But I’d never buy one since the drivetrain is cluncky and the engine sounds like it’s gonna die when it’s on full gas mode. Aside from that it’s a fun do everything vehicle. Also interior cloth seats are trash get yourself a pair of PRP covers. Lastly 35” tires on a zero offset rim will fit on the Willy’s with no lift.
Leased my 22 sahara 4xe for $460/mo. Costs about $25/mo to charge, but saves me about $80/mo on gas. We love ours!
Worth mentioning, 4xe's have dana 44's and beefier suspension components to accommodate all the extra weight. After our 28 mile range which costs us virtually nothing, we average about 20mpg.
And your down payment was what? How many thousands did it take to get to $460/mo
@@ostreds did a one pay for $16,550.
@@ostredsThe federal tax credit loophole heavily subsidizes the lease. I just went on the jeep website. A fully loaded rubicon 4xe for 70K is leasing for 560/month with Chyrsler Capital incentives. I’m strongly considering leasing one.
@@mtunofun1Thanks. So you walked in with $460 + the DMV fees? No money down? Did you pay taxes up front? Kia Sportage's are leasing for close to $600/mo in NY with no down and all taxes and fees in the lease.
a one pay is an option where you pay the entire lease payment up front, in exchange for a lower interest rate (known as the MF). My options on the 4xe was a one pay of $16,600 ($460/mo), or for $2,000 more (higher interest aka MF) I could have paid monthly payment of $516. ($18,600 / 36) @ostreds
Would love to see this in that Army Green color!
I just took delivery of 2022 4xe with 13k miles in Sarge Green. It replaces our 2008 Jeep Green Commander that has 162k miles. The color is gorgeous and changes color in the sunlight.
This is the best wrangler yet. Not too expensive, yet rugged enough to cut the mustard.
As a PHEV enthusiast, i love that there exists a proper solid axle offroader PHEV. but unless you actually road trip to moab yearly... The ramcharger is coming, and it should be so much better for so many more things. i can't see the wrangler 4xe being a good product in even the short term.
Got 24 wrangler 392.... worth it. Last v8 for now. Get it while it last
I wonder how the E parts will hold up if you do a lot of off road driving.
Now they can tailgate more eco-friendly
Great review as always from a subscriber since day one, what happened to your 2023 wrangler, did you replace it with something else?
I was wondering the same thing.
I would like to have seen you test the power box on the Willys. It's my understanding that it only comes with and works on the 4xe Rubicon & Sahara. I didn't get one with my 24 4xe Willys like you show this one comes with.
Was just about to write this comment as well! Would've really appreciated testing the power box on the Willy's because from my understanding, Stellantis didn't add the inverter and bi-directional power to the Willy's and lower trims, and even removed it from some higher trims (featured on sticker sheet as Power-box Delete). If Redline Reviews still has this tester, would be great to see if it works for them since super curious, though I suspect it wouldn't work.
The 2012 Volt PHEV could keep driving dynamics similar between drive modes, including brisk acceleration. Fast foward to 2024 and this Jeep can launch off the line in EV like a 2005 Prius. All for a $50,000 starting figure.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Sport S Willys 4XE!
When driving in hybrid mode, what’s the average MPG? Does it work like a Toyota hybrid for example?
Great review as always from a subscriber since day one, what happened to your 2023 wrangler, did you replace it with something else? 28:05
I remember him saying that he had plans of getting the Mercedes Benz EQG electric G Wagon when that comes out. I should be coming out around this year. Unless if he all ready ordered his.
Amazing video!
I just traded a 21 Sahara for a 24 Willys and it is much quieter.
Not sure why they included the adapter to export power. That adapter doesn’t work on Willys or Sport only Rubicon and Sahara models. Maybe Jeep PR just wanted to be seen with vehicle.
What is brake torque it mean?
i'm not sure the added weight and complexity is not worth saving one gallon of gas a day. On top of that now our new Wrangler is locked out of electric AND HYBRID mode because its not available at this time. I've read some jeeps get locked in FORM but ours didn't. We have owned the Jeep for two weeks and charge almost every night. We drive three miles to work and then 3 miles home in electric. At the end of that we have 38 percent battery left. We have done this for two weeks in 30 degree average temps while always in hybrid mode. WE have also done some errands at night before we charge and have 240 miles on the Wrangler. In that time we used about 1/5 of a tank of gas and the engine has been on in many situations. Now after two weeks all electric assist is turned off and not available and I mean all. The engine doesn't even shut off on decel or standing still. I can understand a system that prevent dry engine and months old gas from happening. But my gas is fresh and the engine has been on many times over the past two weeks. My insurance on the thing is much more expensive compared to our Durango. I lease and pay 380 a month with 2000 down The down payment was trade equity. It is a cheaper way to lease a jeep and it is a nice vehicle but it is not an efficient electrical vehicle. If I get my next electric bills and it is 40 dollars higher or more Ill never plug this thing again as there will no real money savings. The Form did go off in about 20 miles and I have some suggestions. If you do many short electric trips make sure you push the electric only button. Even in the cold you do not want the Gas engine turning on for short periods without fully warming up. So In my case with a daily 6 mile commute make sure to push electric button and keep the engine from turning on. If the engine turns on and doesn't warm up the unburnt gas can dilute the engine and the Form system turns on the prevent that. Our battery does deplete very fast in the Winter. I hope the Summer brings more electric range.
Nice review. 👍🏻👍🏻
Do you and Keith still have your 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE?
ELECTRIC IS GOING DOWN😅but in a good way. I am reading about the complaints one after another. F150 people have complained about the all electric not being able to tow and distance. Charging is for the BIRDS. Batteries are horrible for our environment and charging times isn't realistic. I pulled all my money out of lithium stocks and electric vehicles. The wave of the future that is just that, a passing wave👊🤣. Gas will be around for a longer time👍👍
PS...love your channel GLAD I SUBSCRIBED 👌
I don't know all the trim levels of the Wrangler but I would not choose this trim. I prefer a hard top , it would be easier to put stuffs in the cargo area because you won't have to remove the plastic window to have full access to that area.
I like the fact it has a lever-operated transfer case, it's the right way. Anyway, I always liked the Wrangler but as I said, I would choose another trim level
Arent these blowing up?
I think so and the transmissions have a lot of issues
@@volvo_3877saw a comment at 2K miles being replace cause leak
Funny, been driving my 4xe for over a year now, runs great, will do 0-60 in about 6 secs.
@@volvo_3877The manual transmission version has had a recall for 7 years and still no fix
Most jeep owners want to know. 1. How is the wind noise on freeway? 2. How is the steering on the freeway?
Amazing job Sofyan.
wow the dash board just looks similar to the 3rd gen tacoma
5.7 Hemi would be a perfect motor for a wrangler
Impressive 0-60.
Love this Jeep but not the fabric dash. I prefer the original hard dash of previous year JL. But that price though. The price is the only think that keeps me away.
I didnt know wranglers didnt have side curtain airbags until now
For $61k, I want more than just a wave.
60k? no thanks I'll stick with my old 4runner.
I can’t wait for my lease to run up. 22k miles and lots of electrical issues. Buggy stuff.
Love how the Bronco is now taking over for the Wrangler.
If this was 45 or 50k it would prob be perfect. 60k is just hitting that DAYUM spending mark
Looks very temping however I'm terribly reluctant to join jeep because of their poor reliability. Great review.
They have lost thier minds with these prices. Jeep isn't really leaving themselves much room for an all electric or even a updated PHEV system.
I keep earing slobby and loose but mine isn't and my friends 4xe isn't ether
Whole lot of Patriotic labels. I remember that guy in the Super Bowl add saying I was a bad man
Love my 2018 JL though it don’t love me
For 58k? Not reliable poor resale value. But I really love the look of
Terrible build quality on my ‘21 Wrangler 392 Rubicon. I’d never buy another.
My '21 Wrangler 392 Rubicon is wonderful 👍. Sucks to be you. Jeep forever!
@@gerry9306 My Corolla is going to outlive my kids.
Your Jeep won't. 😎
@@dave_riotsYou're wrong little Davie. My Jeep will last forever, however it will cost me.
Your jeep is a POS@@gerry9306
So you don't think they can learn from their mistakes? But do us a favor, next time list at least one of the build quality issues so we know what you're talking about.
800 pounds of additional weight is absurd.
I get about 18 miles of real-world city range on mine, 2024 Rubicon 4xe. It's my first jeep and honestly, I love it. It's such a different can than my M340i. It feels like i'm driving a tank.
I wanna hear more!! I have a 23 TLX-TypeS and thought of this or a Ram as I have grown out of speeding like I’m 20
Do you have a heavy foot? That's terrible.
@@nickcivic21 Haha I also feel like I've grown out of speeding... for the most part 😂 what do you want to know more about? I'll say that the Jeep fits in my garage versus a truck, which was a big consideration for me. It's honestly pretty narrow all things considered, and i love how maneuverable it is. And i never have to worry about hitting any curbs, like I do in the BMW. I can get to all my local grocery stores on EV power. I would say only get the 4xe if you have a place to charge it every night. I get about 600 miles between fill-ups, charging every night. The gas tank is smaller than the non-4xe so the total range is ~300 miles if you road trip.
@@krane15 The projected range is 22-23 when i start up, but I live in a hilly area. My house is towards the top of a hill so if I keep it on EV mode, it struggle buses up the hills slowly and burns a lot of range. I think i could get > 20 miles in a flat place like the midwest.
@@nickcivic21 I'm 53 and I'm shopping for a car that will let me speed like I'm 20 again just to be able to navigate in modern traffic.
I stick with the 3.6 … the 4Xe is grossly overpriced and the expected battery recalls of the 4Xe just started … if you enjoy driving around with 800 pnds of batteries … go ahead … it might be working in town for some folks … but not for long distances ! be aware !
Bought a brand new Jeep wrangler unlimited sport in 2012 got 60 000km on it now and it is the biggest piece of shit i ever bought ..
A modern 60k vehicle with a brace bar? Come on manufactures, that made since 30 years ago but not today. Lets take a bit of that brain power away from adding more useless gadgets and gizmos, and put it to fixing some of the basics.
It's pronounced Willis not willies
Get a Bronco.
I am amazed that these are even legal for sale with such bad handling and build quality. $60 thousand dollars is a joke for this POS. These Jeeps are 3 deep at my local dealership.
What about all electricity coming from coal plants??
I think nobody is buying these models anymore. There are so many on the lot and just a handful of gas. I mean, maybe it’s a big push to get the electric out there but they really make no sense. It’s just another part that does not need to exist. Only getting you minimal range. I’m a Jeep guy, but at the end of the day it’s going to make them even more unreliable even though mine has been very good to me. Also, every time I see somebody driving one of them it’s either a soccer mom or a guy in a suit trying to be cool. 🤷♂️
I mean all it is is a compliance car and does not make sense at all as a PHEV. I would say that there are far better options like the RAV4 Prime or Sportage PHEV if you still want the capabilities.
Hahahaha 60 thousand for base features. Christ. Overpriced and unreliable.
62k piece of crap let’s be real
Cloth seats are gross.
Stellantis is gross.
$60,000 for a Wrangler.....yea. ok.
If you think that's bad a Wrangler 392 is $90K+.
More stupid money... Jeep has priced so many of us out of the market...
I can't buy one. I'm trying to help save the planet by using less electricity.
Don't forget to mention it only gets 21 miles on a charge. What a p o s
Every UA-cam Wrangler buyer that has purchased a 4xe or 2.0L has traded and either bought a Gladiator or a 392. This has been a failure for Jeep making the 4xe and it is due to the most hybrid and all EVs are failing. Toyota is the only making money or at least breaking even. Just as the previous and current CEO of Toyota has stated, it is a failure. On the other hand Toyota is entertaining Hydrogen and Ammonia engines. I can’t wait with this electric charging failing too.
That power station you show doesn’t work on the Willy’s , it only works on the rubicon and Sahara
