From what I'm led to believe, the crystal (a fancy token) in boxes is a placeholder for special cards. This means that sometimes crystal slots are just crystal slots but most likely it would have been the signature card. Less of a chance to pull THE card if you get a crystal.
Thanks for the info! makes me a bit sick to think that card took the place of the Sephiroth signature haha. Definitely learned more about the FFTCG now, look forward to opening more :)

i just pulled the foil sephiroth full art, not the signature. got it from a single booster pack. gonna get it graded now.
