Nowadays the best side hustle or passive income opportunities seems to be to make videos about the best side hustles and passive income opportunities tbh 😅🤧🤷🏾♂️
Yes, I would agree that a UA-cam channel can be a good income opportunity for some, but you should go into it expecting nothing, even though you still have to put in the hours and keep a schedule, so I wouldn't say it's passive, it's more like an investment/job tbh with who knows what results. Saying it with just 180 subs, doing it for the sake of teaching others what I know so they can benefit.
I appreciate this honest take on passive income. I'm so sick of clicking on a video (or an article similar to the one you referenced) that claims to help people build "passive" income when 90% of the content is for active income.
Man not only was this video super helpful but when that Arrested Development chicken bit flashed on I literally chocked on my coffee laughing, awesome work Daniel!
Great breakdown! Totally agree that renting out a room in your space isn't "passive". People love claiming dividend stocks as passive income but again you are right that you need a lot to actually make it worth wild.
Hey Daniel, would you consider making a video on some passive income ideas that may have intrigued you on that list and maybe giving one a go to see if it is worthwhile? Love the content by the way!
Great video Daniel! I personally have been doing Airbnb for a few years now. I rented out my two spare bedrooms before covid hit. I viewed it as passive since it required less than a couple hours each week (big tip - set the minimum booking time to at least 1 week so don't require more time for the turnover). I was earning about the same money for renting out the 2 spare bedrooms individually vs now I rent out the entire 3 bedroom apartment to one group at a time.
Finally somebody who's NOT on that hype train of how easy it (supposedly) is to become rich/get passive income nowadays and how "everyone" can do it. If "everyone" starts making youtube videos, who is gonna watch em?
Great video and breakdown. I think the core problem comes from two paradigms; 1. people only give you money if they think you give them value in return (note the "think"). 2. Delivering value (or appearing to deliver value) almost necessarily requires expending effort. Basically, people won't (usually) give you money just for existing. There are exceptions, of course, but usually in the form of "I expended effort in the past by developing something that is still providing value today", usually in the form of a software product, real estate or raw capitol. There's no hacking the system; you have to give people value for them to give you money. (Here's where I say something about Universal Basic Income.)
Excellent content as always Daniel! Do you have any resources you can recommend for learning how to do motion graphics like you use in this video with the lists, number calculations etc?
I'm conflicted with the thumbnail, with so many subscriptions I usually just skim through and click the ones that I can easily recognize and want to watch, and your face is obviously one that I always click on, and because of that I almost missed this one! But that could 100% be just my personal preference and this could blow up! I'd be interested in seeing the analytics on this video vs the other ones? maybe just a quick twitter post comparing the impact of the new format? Great content as always, cheers!
Great information thank you for sharing! Automation is key when trying to create a business online that actually generates passive income without the need for the Daily Grind
In Amsterdam it got almost illegal to rent out your house for Airbnb, but I remember talking to people and they hired a company that arranged all the bookings and they also had a cleaning company. So everything happened for you and they took a chunk of your income, which didn't matter much because people made over 10.000 Euro a month renting out their places.
Passive income is like perpetual motion or invisible energy. That's for broke people at least. For a multi millionaire, stock dividends can be passive income. For someone who owns real estate and has rental income coming in, after paying the mortgage it will become passive income (even during, but less). Every other method is just you working hard until you get to a good financial position, which means passive income is for the rich. You can make music, graphics or anything with royalties, that is passive income except the initial working hours. Other methods I'm not aware. ^ Learnt over years and learning from finance UA-camrs. There's no such thing as free money for the poor.
To begin with, dropshipping isn’t meant to be passive income. It’s as much of a business as say running a restaurant. It’s just gurus selling it as passive income.
I agree and disagree on the same point. Dividends are amazing in my mind, and can be a great way to build real wealth, but that is only if you DRIP the Dividends and let them snowball. Which of course means you only see the money much later, which is kinda opposite of what most people want with extra income. In fact i find it better to put any extra income into the stocks to increase wealth later. So i agree that Dividends aren't the convenient passive income that people want until much later. I see them as a must and a damn smart long term wealth building tool that anybody should look into, just...from a different perspective.
i think it depends on what you're interested and what your skill sets are. my video linked in the description has some of my favorite ways that have worked for me.
I hate when idiots talk about getting a passive income as if its very simple to do. Then when you hear their methods you realize how crazy they are not accounting for all the background work involved. They often resolve work issues with answers like just hire someone to do it. Which makes no sense because you end up paying extra fees and you still need to check up on them to make sure they aren't running you finances into the ground. Even if you put your money into a hedge fund you would firstly have to be super rich and secondly you will have to check up on the manager to make sure everything is working and the around of time and money you will need to have to find the appropriate person for the job is also quite a mission. and then when all is said and done. you still have a risk of losing instead of gaining so you really don't have it all so easy. People just need to get off the idea of a passive income and realize you can only really have one when you are so rich you can just buy an entire company at a whim and solve all your problems with money. there are very few people this rich and even fewer that are that rich and would rather do nothing. Thats because people who get that rich have a hunger to work and earn money.
Can you make a video on a startup trading account with just 500$. I want to see from a professional trader how he manages his money and how he profited. I’m starting with 500
love your videos and presentation style but thumbs down only for the inserted TV clip at about 20 seconds in, annoying distracting, unnecessary, and of zero benefit. I'm here to listen to you not watch TV. Otherwise great videos, keep up the good work ;)
prove the algorithm wrong by clicking the thumbs up button on this video because i didn't use a thumbnail w/ a face like this: 😮
Nowadays the best side hustle or passive income opportunities seems to be to make videos about the best side hustles and passive income opportunities tbh 😅🤧🤷🏾♂️
you're not wrong - probably more active income though

it's so goofy
This is painfully honest, but very truthful in a world trying to sell you the latest course or scheme. Thanks for the video and honest take Daniel!
The orange Typewriter in the picture is a "Olympia TBM de luxe" from old Yuguslavia from the 80th.
sharp eye. i believe the photographer is from serbia 👍🏻
Great "anti-guru" content as usual. Appreciate you always taking things in the other direction and not stooping to clickbait
I love the honesty! Please keep sharing your experiences.
Dude I swear we watch the same exact TV shows. Love the little clips you add, makes for a good chuckle :)

c'mon!

no kidding
nailed it daniel, I'm always impressed with your realistic attitude on these opportunities, and keeping it real with the viewers

The only real guy on UA-cam. Hope you stay like that
thank you 🙏🏻
The anti guru on anti income. Great idea Daniel!
😆

awesome - glad to hear it worked well for you. that sounds fairly passive in my book.
Great vid as always... INCREDIBLE thumbnail! Love it!
thanks!

100% agree with you!
Great topic! We've seen a lot of "great" opportunities, but that's the first honest post about terrible ways. Keep up the great work
Thank you! You are my favorite youtuber;)
thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks for the review!

you said the words right out of my mouth.
I love the meme of that dude who takes notes while looking at tiktok :-D
You nailed it!

Can u do some passive income ideas that actually work, but I do think this videos great so thanks for actually making something honest like this.
i have a whole playlist of passive income vids on my channel 🤙🏻
3:39 and it cost you like 250.000$ to get a monthly minimal wage
2022 is the year of active income ideas, the jig is up

Great video! Do you have a whole video or more on the “live streaming chill music on old pc” clip? At least I think that’s what it was haha
it’s from my “failed side hustles” video.
Great video! I guess I'll stick to blogging and making videos about it. It's worked out so far.
Usoi pays monthly and just this past month paid $0.23 per share with a share price of $5.72.
Passive income is extremely hard to obtain with out having a large bankroll. What about some online side hustles?
Fantastic and balanced video. Like you say, they can work but not the easy $$$ that people want. You forgot UA-cam 😉😆

fair enough!
Now that you did side hustles not to do. Do you have any side hustles or streams of incomes you recommended to try and start?

I was just wondering, what website do you use for your titles (when each chapter starts) or do you just make them in video editing software?
it's a plugin for premiere pro called mister horse

What? Dropshipping isn't a good idea? Haha .. I have a friend who makes 5 figures a day with this business.
i’m certainly not saying it can’t be done.
