It's a little pity for S7 1200 does not have a external reset option, what in the case if it is not answering (because of a bug in the system) while you are trying to discover it in TIA portal . How to restore it to the factory settings. ?? I've just had an issue with it, hopefully it was possible to get its ip address from arp table and to connect to it eventually. ( )

Great vid as always. Quick q, I know this seems obvious but can users do the factory reset if they are to download a lower version of tia than the currently downloaded one? I.e. theres currently a v17 program downloaded on the plc and i want to download a v16 program on it.

Each time when I start, it has all blocks and hardware that was previously in it at the running facility. I want to delete all these and want to reuse for my own code. For a S7-1200 PLC, will pressing MRES delete any saved data logs?
@Hegamurl do you have troubleshooting notes for S7 400 ? Manual are not good enough to give a head start.
