So I had a $200 sale this week.Went to a garage sale it was so windy they had fill a bag for $5.So I grabbed 3 items didn't see alot so 1 item was a pirate of the Caribbean tshirt so I thought. When I got home I was checking my stuff came across the tshirt.I looked at it in confusion it was a vintage xxx tshirt from a movie Pirates. I was so upset until I looked it up.I had several offers I took an offer for 200.

So funny you mention the 1 cent thing same thing happened to me on ebay. I did exact same thing.. after they countered at $1. So I countered $1 off my full price. I did not get a sale like you. Ive had people say countering shows ebay you are active with the item better than declining. I also sold Christmas item last year around now it was similar but different I got it for free at yard sale it had 4 nutcracker ballet scenes it would turn the curtain would go up and the figures moved slightly to music. Then whole big item would turn to the next scene. I only got $120 it was about $40 ship (think at the time I charged $20 was newer didnt realize how big it was going to be but as free pick up I was pretty excited.
That’s the first and only time it led to a sale from a 1 cent decrease offer!!! And yes, ebay wants you to counter no matter what, so never decline!
That xmas item is still an awesome flip - for freeee! 👏🏼
My sales on Depop have been going crazy it’s mostly on the streetwear, grunge and Preppy type of clothing that sells fast.

Great video. I used to only list Christmas stuff Sept-Dec. but now I everything listed all year round and it sells throughout the year, same thing with Halloween things.

I don't get many low ball offers but, when they get petty, I have return the favor just as you did. Now if I send an offer, and they counter very low, I usually counter back at almost the full asking price. I don't sell full time so, it's not a waste of time for me

I had a pair of women's christmas leggings sell for full asking price in April. I was surprised but happy they sold haha you never know what people are looking for year round

My poshmark is also slow. Between the posh shows & promoted listing my sales should be double. Inflation hasn’t helped either. Great Video!!

Possible BOLO'S. You decide. Belstaff ( leather jackets and hoodies ) and Outlier clothes ( very hard to spot ) no tags where normally expect plain buttons. Tag is inside on front pocket. Easily overlooked.

YES!!!! I agree with you on Depop buyers. It annoys me so much that you accept their offers and they still do not purchase. This is the only platform that I am aware of that does this with offers not making them binding. I get lowball offers on all platforms except for Mercari which I either get a good offer, but most times I don't get offers on Mercari. My sales vary on all platforms lately, I am either selling a ton or not selling at all which is super odd because I do the same thing all on all listings, and price competitively, I list at least 5 items or more everyday, I make adjustments as needed, send offers, I basically do everything I can to give good deals to potential buyers while still making a decent profit.
Right!! Depop needs to make the offers binding, such a waste of my time otherwise 😩 summer slowdown is realll, we’re having slow sales all across the board besides Ebay rn, hopefully it picks up, just keep listing 👍🏼
@@RadResells I also Wish Depop would allow more then 8 pictures, they again are the only platform that does this. Most times you need more then 8 pictures of an item

Nice sales! I love those rice cookers. I have that exact one that I use personally. Got it for $10 at a garage sale and have been using it for 3 years now. The 🐘is the best!

The algorithm definitely favored you on that or is sweater (which is great!) I actually passed on one today for $7 bc it looked like the STR was low

I get stupid lowballs and those small increases on all platforms, but depop is definitely the worst. However I still perform pretty well on there, the focus is more on style and vintage/Y2K items.

Hello! Welcome to the reselling adventure 🙌🏼 It depends a little on what you’re selling; if you have a lot of niche clothing/shoes in the goth/punk/Y2K/streetstyle/fairy etc categories, then Depop would be awesome. But if you have a little bit of everything, Poshmark is amazing - and a great platform to start on as they give you the shipping label without needing a weight input when creating the listing (as long as it’s not over 5 lbs, in that case you need to upgrade the label) 😄
Then we’d suggest Ebay after that, the OG of reselling platforms; a bit more work to list but can literally sell anything on there! Good luck!
Posh, when I get a lowballer they just won't let it go. I've blocked a few.

The buyer does have to pay 2 dollars when you deposit your money so you do pay something but it’s so minimal on mecari that it beats all the other platforms
Trueee! We don’t deposit money after each sale, we wait until we have a significant amount before deposit 👍🏼
I make lots of sales on Depop. However, no one ever seems to pay. 🤷♀️ I'm thinking about getting off of it and going to a different platform. It's my 4th platform, so it's no big deal, but it's still very frustrating.
What do you mean you make lots of sales but no one pays? And yeah Depop is definitely more of a niche platform with specific categories doing well
@RadResells I accept lots of offers and buyers accept my offers, but they never pay. So I'm making sales, but nit really. I've probably had 20 in the past month. It's such a let down, when they don't pay.
Just got my first dispute :( buyer said he did not receive the item & having accepted his low offer I did not go to the extra expence ( 5 euro ) to add a tracking number for a 15 euro profit.Is it wiser to not accept offers unless its worth adding a tracking number or is this buyer one in a million? as I feel most of my sales would not be sold at all.I am in my ist 25 sales .Thank you for all your info
Hmm we always provide tracking! It doesn’t cost anything so I’m a bit confused as I may misunderstand here. Which platform is this? If you use the platforms shipping, the tracking will be uploaded automatically!
Probably asked this before, but do yawl use Vendoo, and so you list from Ebay to Posh, or Posh to Ebay?
Have never used Vendoo! We use List Perfectly, where we create one listing on there, then copy it to all our platforms :)
@RadResells O cool, i use Vendoo, but its way to expensive🤣 think i might drop it in August and pick up list perfectly. You have to buy Add ons which really is a turn off, and can only delist and relist 10 at a time.........., so... i got over 1k listings😬
I have the most low ballers in Poshmark that’s why I tend to price high on there
