Sixwire has suffered a tragic loss. This band was created by bringing together these men for whom music is as important as oxygen and they had an amazing bond. Robb Houston, one of the founding members of Sixwire, tragically lost his battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) on March 16th, 2020. Country music legend Randy Travis released a lovely tribute to Robb the day after his passing. Deepest sympathies to the surviving band members and to Robb's lovely wife Spring and the rest of his family. When I read this news I instantly heard the song "The Day the Music Died: in my head. RIP, Robb. The quality of the music in heaven just went up exponentially!
@@deannagokey817 I never got the pleasure of meeting any of the guys in Sixwire except Andy. I love Andy's solo music and I love Sixwire's sound just as much. I pray that Robb's soul is at peace, and that his family are able to adapt to life without him.
I just found this band because they are playing at the 2024 Republican Convention, and rocking the shit out of the place. Sadly, I don't think most people in the audience know what they're witnessing.
Back in 2002, "Look at me Now" was one of the most played songs of the year both on country radio and on CMT. I'd still pay to see these guys...amazing talents and just all-round nice guys.
+Steven McClintock I saw that video on CMT all the time and I heard it on the radio all the time so it must have been one of the most played songs of 2002. that's why I fell in love with it so much. it's a catchy tune and a kick-ass video.
Then Why didn't they make it ??????????? I recognize that one judge I believe I saw in buffalo, in a real "dive" band & bar on Franklin Street when I was 26 years old. I'm 62 now.

Robb was such a nice guy. Met him when he played in Randy Travis's band. Reconnected a few years ago over FB. A huge loss of talent.

I also get to meet Andy, he opened for Waylon Jennings and Jesse Colter. What a show!
These guys got ripped off. I'd like to know who their manager is??? These guys should have been HUGE STARS !!!!!!!!!!!!
