I was lucky enough to get one with mppsk. In the EU its not allowed anymore. However it brings so much joy every single time you drive.
Awesome, I never even knew anything about the 440i til a couple of days as I’ve been focused on the 340 and 540 .

Just what I was waiting for! Ordering my manual 440i soon! With the MPPSK after watching this video! Not sure about the tips yet. Estoril blue M Sport with cognac interior.

Rick H. My 2018 440i XDrive Coupé with MPPSK has the chromed M-tips. Might still be an option? =)
I also prefer the chromed ones. But if I have had every carbonfiber option on the car it probably would be cool to have those in carbonfiber to.
Hello Rob, what type coating and paint job did you have done? I beleive you made mention of it in the video. I just purchased the 2017 440I coupe and I want the exact same paint job to protect against cracks etc etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2017 440i and I'm definitely gonna get the Performance and Sound kit. If you don't mind me asking, how much did your dealer charge you for installing the kit + loading the tune on your 440i?
Jose Vasconcellos I’ve had it installed twice (different cars) and it is negotiable. People have paid up to $3,800 installed with carbon tips and I got my dealer to $3200. I think they can knock off 10-15% off sticker. Shop around and keep in mind some dealers will have no idea what it is lol.
There is very little actual demo of the car, driving, sound, etc. Most of the video is this guy talking endlessly.
Can you get the power and exhaust kit with out the sound kit ?
One time payment or did they let you finance the kit ?

G Clark thanks man! Yes it has run flats. They aren’t terrible on this car - having 18 inch wheels helps. The 440i rides very comfortably even with them, but I will switch to summer performance (non-runflat) next year when I buy a set of 19 inch wheels. I’ll keep the 18s for winter and swap them out every year. How do you feel about runflats?
The Test Drive I’ve only had mine for about a month and the run flats are great on smooth roads.. it just become a tad harsh if I’m on a bumpy road.. I’m definitely switching to 19” . I’ve heard the ride is night and day between the two. I like your idea of keeping the 18”s though as a back up.. I might do the same. I’ve been trying to decide if I wanted to upgrade my rims and wheels first or get the m exhaust.. but man after seeing this vid I might wait on rims and tires and do the full exhaust first 👍🏾
G Clark what specific exhaust are you thinking to get and why? Midpipe and downpipe too?
Catless downpipe and upgraded intercooler aand tune for that youll get 450hp and 800nm torgue profe me wrong
I love the 440i in a manual, definitely nicer than the Supra in my opinion

Had the sound and performance package on my 2018 440 Grand Coup and loved it!! Recently leased a 2020 440 xdrive convertible, last hardtop convertible and one of the reasons for jumping to the 2020. I was frustrated to learn that I could move the exhaust but not the tune and increased h/p due to it’s VIN specific meaning it can,t be re-tuned, thus the disappointment! I’m told that the exhaust will fit physically and just may take the time to mount and see if it makes somewhat of a difference tune wise. I love the 2020 convertible only things missing is the sound I could even live without the extra h/p if need be. The tough choice will be if there’s not a big enough difference do I take the financial leap and buy a 2nd package ?? Most of my upgrades, carbon fiber mirror caps, interior fiber all made the switch over easily even the M brakes and 19” wheels will make the move with me...just missing the awesome sound.
Thanks for the review and video and reminding me of what my 2020 should sound like! Actually the service guys at my dealership says that the package on my previous 2018 surpassed the sound on most stocked M’s. Looking forward to following you and your future upgrades!
Abit late but I’m pretty sure the MPPSK can be flashed, never heard of a tune that is irreversible, and someone who specializes in bmw tuning out there could definitely do it. I also have the MPPSK and I’am getting going castles+tune.
Catless + tune, stage 2, and essentially to go back you just flash the tune to stage 1 if it’s a lease or your selling it.
@@mikeygz720 well 2yrs later and I got the 2020 M4 hardtop convertible and that stock exhaust does not sound as good as the one I had! Seriously thinking of getting the performance sound exhaust package!

He might not of had a choice. Manuals are rare out in lots so whats there is there. I get what you are saying though.
sinjin K are you both blind? This is a m sport 440i coupe. I must admit that the black paint hides the m sport curves pretty well

@@TheTestDrive Shoulda went with the Noelle Performance tune. 440hp/443 torque while retaining BMW's factory warranty for $1,800. Then you could have had a Remus exhaust (best sounding BMW exhaust imo) fitted for probably around the same price you paid for the MPPSK package total. www.noelleperformance.com/4-series/

@@scringe1 I've actually decided to go a different route since there's some controversy surrounding Noelle's tunes. I'll be getting a custom tune from Cary Jordan with the BM3 platform. He is THE master calibrator when it comes to BMW's and his reputation is perfect. Dude is putting down some SERIOUS numbers and even doing full E85 tunes on stock fueling. Your ride-height is atrocious….i have one and put it on bags and a pure 800 turbo-phuck the warranty….its worth the fun- i do a 0-60 in 3.4/and quicker in the winters(im in AZ)
