Excellent review!....you made valid points and good distinction between both bikes, however you should not have started off with aesthetic feature of peloton bikes...i think that is the very last reason for a potential buyer to purchase a bike.......i bought my peloton because of interface / software features and easy to follow/ user guide...nothing too complicated.......with nordic track...incline/ decline feature over extended use is not good for knees......especially for older adults......i am surprised no one picks up on this......sleekness of peloton bike was a plus but not the deciding factor for me......both bikes have different variations of auto follow feature....lastly, i prefer to ride my road bike outside when when weather is nice
I had the Peloton Bike+ and looked at the outdoor rides there - just poorly made and hardly any rides on offer. The studio courses are absolutely not for me, so I switched to the NordicTrack S22i. Assembly is no problem for a moderately skilled craftsman. The rides are awesome and can't be beaten in terms of variety.
The bike hasn't caused any problems so far (bought at the end of November 2022) - a clear buy recommendation for outdoor riding enthusiasts.
I ride almost every day and it never gets boring.
GREAT comparison video! I like riding real bikes, so I was super excited about the Nordic's outdoor ride selection/quality over the Peloton. The incline/decline feature is genius! That said, the company's deceitful marketing (commercial vs consumer use) and careless support have me leaning toward the Peloton. I think I would enjoy the ride better on the Nordic, but I can't support a company that has poor ethics like Nordic appears to have. If Peloton released a new version with the include/decline feature and really revamped their outdoor ride selection, I'd be sold! Thanks for the video!
A really great comparison video! When I was looking at getting a bike last year I nearly bought the NordickTrack. I liked the idea of the incline and decline features, and the outdoor rides. But after doing some research, I read that their customer service was atrocious, and there seemed to be a lot of problems with the bikes themselves. I also didn’t fancy putting it together either. I have wondered if that is the cause of some of the problems people experience.
So in the end I chose to buy a Peloton. I don’t regret my decision, and 4 months in I still love my Peloton, and to be honest I am just very grateful that I am lucky enough to own one 😌❤️
I'm at the same point. I'm very interested in the outdoor rides on the Nordictrack, but the terrible build quality combined with horrific customer service means I'm really gambling that I'll end up with a multi thousand dollar device sitting in a corner collecting dust because I can't get it repaired. Just not sure I want to risk that so leaning towards Peloton.

Great review, just bought the s15i for £899. Waiting for delivery. Want the outdoor rides more than studio.
Just got my Nordic Track si22 last week. Was easy to put together! They must have made some improvements in that area on the recent model because other than mounting handlebars/screen and putting on the seat there was nothing else to do. Previous videos/info I’d come across seemed like there were way more parts to put together. So far I’m super happy with the bike! It’s quiet, works great and I love the outdoor rides. I know I would have loved the Peleton too but it was out of my price range and I didn’t want to wait so long for delivery.

@@bananabaird ours took about 3 weeks to come. Also we found the instruction book we got was for the older model so that caused some confusion until we realized. Was easier to use common sense! Lol 😂 Enjoy your new bike! I’m happy with mine.

Great review. After deliberating for a few months last year, I eventually took the plunge and got the S22i. Hands down for me the best option, as the outdoor rides was what I was looking for. In essence i saw more potential for the Nordictrack then the peloton, as I can see that their studio rides could be an easier fix then peloton with their woeful attempt at outdoor rides. I found the sales support with Nordictrack excellent as well. I was using the German site, as live in europe and I managed to get 1 year free membership, as I had been in dialogue with them, before they changed it to 30 days, so for me that was excellent and was an easy decision in the end to plump for it. I agree with you though, 4K should be used on the screens, but I am super happy with it so far.

I have the 2022 and very good. They do make upgrades year on year though and latest tablets even better
@@SteveJulien if you were me, would you go for brand new s22i older version or slighly used new version from 2022?

Getting our bike+ on Wednesday. Was comparing these two bikes and came to the same conclusion as you have, Peloton for the classes, Nordictrack from the outdoor rides. But as a nerd the sluggishness of the Nordictrack UI would be making me scream. Great comparison!

One other factor to consider is the after-sales support. I bought a Nordictrack elliptical cross-trainer in 2020 (the C7.5 model) and it was delivered broken. It had several parts in pieces out of the box, one piece clearly wasn't for the machine it was shipped with (didn't even nearly fit) and the main fly-wheel was spinning at an angle and rubbing the frame on the side. Audio speakers didn't work and poor build quality. After several weeks of emails and sending videos they'd fixed nothing, sent out no replacement parts and refused to even talk on the phone. In the end I simply demanded my money back. They refunded my money and then had a van turn up at the door one day with no prior notification to cart away the broken bike. I've heard nothing since. Now, I don't know what Peloton are like but it's certainly worth trying to call their helplines to see how easy it is to get hold of them and how responsive they seem. Your Nordictrack bike looks excellent but I myself would be wary of buying from Nordictrack in future.

Hiya, great video again. What is your view on getting the IFit membership and doing the outdoor rides using a big screen tv? I have a Matrix fitness soin bike and really fancy the outdoor rides. Do you think it would be a good experience doibg the rides using a tv and guessing the resistance?
I do this on my non iFit treadmill. The really have great outdoor content. Plus the app price is so much cheaper.
