Great reaction! These sisters are simply amazing….they exemplify what true Rock is all about. Best up and coming band for real. Stay tuned! Much love for Dany, Pau, and Ale! ❤️❤️❤️
I get chills every time I listen to Martirio, and I don’t even know Spanish! With every new song these sisters release I become more convinced that these young ladies WILL, without a doubt in my mind one day be recognized as not just one of, but THE GREATEST Power Trio of all time, eclipsing even the greatest power trios to date in Rush, Cream, The Police, Muse, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad. I know this is a bold statement, but I am absolutely 100% convinced of this! Simply put these young ladies souls are timeless and have eons of wisdom to draw upon and will absolutely dominate the music world for as long as they chose to do so. Mark my words, they WILL sell out any venue they chose to play, including major arenas and stadiums and they WILL be invited to headline the largest major music festivals the world has to offer, playing in front of millions! LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS! aka THE WARNING!
Dany's voice...has away of letting you know what she is saying (even though I don't know what she is saying). The emotion in her voice and conviction. The facial expressions/emotions.🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏👏
What we saw 2 years ago was awesome, what they finally produced is beyond compare - the sooner the rest of the world discovers these 3 incredible young ladies the better ! Many of us have watched the transformation over 7 years of a talented little band of sisters gradually morph into a major game changer. Great music knows no boundaries, and SOON these ladies are gonna break all of them. A quick edit here ! When I made this comment,10 hours later, there are no dislikes
I really love the feel of this song. It's wonderful to have a band that is bilingual with so much to say about difficult subject material. The way they play never takes away from each other only enhances the song. They all shine together and its awesome. You do great reactions I like your insights.. thank you.
Another song calling for strength, to take the reins in your hands and stand up for yourself. Fun fact: Their mother is one of the women in black, Mony Velez. Of course you can't see her, but she looks like an older version of Dany. Gorgeous, in other words.
aw thanks!! one of the most beautiful cultures to experience. I think I was extremely lucky to have that experience in my life and the seeing the inside of the latino culture. It has definitely helped to change my views of people from other cultures.
Thanks for the general translation, I didn't know what they were singing about but could feel the emotion ! The music & their voices as usual...were Awesome❤😎👌 P.S. The lady's produce or co - produce their videos. They do a great job !!
There is a live performance of this song that they did quite some time ago and some small changes made from that , great studio production and sounds awesome , a bit of a mysterious vibe to this song .
I love The Warning. Every song is so different and amazing! I grew up in El Paso, totally get understanding but not being able to speak Spanish. Just a beautiful, powerful song...Love it.
Really enjoyed your reaction! Beautiful song and epic video. They have said that it’s difficult to write Spanish lyrics to rock tunes, which is partly why this is only their 2nd Spanish song out of 40+ originals. If you haven’t seen it, suggest Narcissista live at el Foro DiDi for their other Spanish song (where Pau sings lead). 👍😎
Back in 2019 When The Warning were Touring in Argentina with Eruca Saliva they started Playing this Song in there Concerts, and When They were Recording there Third Album they were Tight Lip about the songs on the Album but they tell us Fans on Patreon that Martirio was going to be on the Album. There are Live Videos on UA-cam from Argentina of this Song.
IN MÉXICO. ITS SO COMMON FOR US AS A MÉXICAN CITIZENS.TO LISTENING. ROCK AND ROLL BANDS FROM MÉXICO TO SING IN ENGLISH OR ANY OTHER LEANGUAGE FRENCH OR NAHUALT AS WELL. ITS SO NORMAL. BUT I SEE IN THE REST OF LATINO AMERICA. ITS NOT. REGARDS FROM MÉXICO CITY. CHECK CEMICAN BAND FROM MÉXICO. 🇲🇽 GUERREROS DE CEMICAN
Great! reacción & analisis. Congrats. This happens to those of us who have another native language and not English with almost all The Warning songs. The extraordinary of these young talented ladies who with their passion and love for music manage to make us enjoy their songs without language being a barrier. It is also Amazing that with so much music in this genre created over the years they have managed to find their own and so distinctive style for a Power Trio. Saludos! desde México. 🤘🎸⚡
EPIC song and video!! Very dark deep lyrics. They are geniuses! Everything they touch turns to gold!! They never cease to amaze me! Viva The Warning !! ⚡⚡⚡
Pau is a huge proponent of vision boards, She had the outfits and overall ascetic ideas for Choke and Evolve way back when they were still writing the songs.
I love this song - and I didn't understand a word of it the first time I heard it but it didn't matter because it does transcend language. Beautiful and their instrument mastery shines.
Another great reaction. You are right--I love this song and it doesn't matter to me that I don't understand the words because I feel the emotion. The subject matter of this song complements the subject matter in their song Evolve. A Mexican-American singer and songwriter from Texas who I love to listen to is Tish Hinojosa. She sometimes mixes Spanish and English in the same song and she also sings traditional Mexican folksongs.
They are wise beyond their years in both lyrics and music comprehension, how to make you feel what they are playing. This rocks in an language! not in my top 5 but still great none the less
I only know a tiny bit of Spanish and I didn't get much from this one but I had seen the lyrics. Musically, it is terrific and I will come to love the lyrics as I did with Narcissita, their other song in Spanish
Martirio (English interpretation) Martyr Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see You choked with your own hands When everything points that finally someone will rescue you You find yourself abandoned again Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment) It's your destiny, give in (surrender) You try to find an explanation in the deepest of your being and you fall into the void (emptiness) again At last you realize in secret that the pain will stay, it will be your new life of martyrdom There's no turning back, you can't escape from the fire at your feet And in the darkness, you'll get lost (you will lose yourself) Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment) It's your destiny, give in (surrender) Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment) It's your destiny, give in (surrender) Learn from the ones who suffered If you have to live in fear, it's best to die at the hands of a goodbye To your sad life, foolish martyr, say goodbye Fantastic reaction GMM! Thank you for supporting TW! 🔥🤘🤓👍💯👏👏
Los cientos. Yo soy un hombre de Houston. Y yo soy un gringo. Perro, yo tengo amigos de mucho país. México, El Salvador, Perú, Dominica, Columbia, etc. Las hermanas de Monterrey están muy especial!
Nice! A disdain for someone who lives their life as a perpetual martyr (victim). Perhaps they are better off dead. This song was previewed during their Argentina tour in 2019. It has become much harder under the guidance of their producer David Bendeth. Video shot in the mountains that surround Monterrey, Mexico. They are very rugged and desert. The Warning is a visual experience.
I remember hearing the Argentina version and not really getting into it... but I really like how they've changed it up and while it may not be my absolute favorite of theirs, I can still say that they don't have any songs that I'd skip when playing the full CD.
I don't interpret it neccessarily as "maybe they are better off dead". The last verses do not encourage suicide - I understand it as "let your silly habit of self-martyrdom die" (and live a better life from now on).
If you react to Queen of the Murder Scene Album, you need to hear it in song order as it's a concept album. They tell a complete story in four parts. "Dust to Dust" is like a prologue to the story.

Thanks for the translation and your reaction. This s actually an older number they performed in on their tour of Argentina in 2019 meaning Pau was 16 or 17 when she wrote it, pretty heavy stuff from someone so young.
Great insight into the writing. It's interesting to me as I often see adults downplay what teens and children understand and comprehend at their ages. This is clearly a perfect example of what they see and feel.
@@yesterdazenewsmag You wait until you find Black Holes (about addiction) and Show me The Light (just to see if she could write a love song and tell me if she succeeded) both at age 13.
What can I say about *Martirio??* It definitely sounds like The Warning. Plus the should shut up the *Narcisista's* in Mexico. They should be proud of their band who represents Mexico & women in rock genre greatly.
When you compared The Warning to the late Selena. That made me appreciate *Martirio* that much more. I just couldn't get into *Martirio* as fast as I did with *Evolve & Enter Sandman* (plenty other Warning songs). Still not there. Even though I heard the live (slightly different sounding) Argentina version The Warning played in 2019 (before signing with Lava Records). Guess The Warning tried to do a rock song in their native language (besides criticizing doubters) & succeeded. Opening or in The Warning's fashion, removing the door completely.
You should hear "Narcisista." They sing that one in Spanish as well...! By the way, when she told the story about Selena's death and the people's reactions at her work, I had to hold my own tears.
This is their Second Song in Spanish, in 2019 The Warning released a Single, The song is called "Narcisista" they recorded this song to tell their Critics and Haters in Mexico that don't like them because they only sing in English, To Shut The Hell Up because they don't know Anything, so Basically The Warning are Giving those people in a polite was in song the Middle finger
Great information to know. Hopefully, everyone can just enjoy their music and not take aim that they sing in English as an insult. I do hope they make more tracks in Spanish too because this one sounds so good. I'd definitely listen to more in Spanish. But they can do it their way and I'll still listen.
Great review, came to steal a few tags from you. I hope your viewers stay to the end, you had a nice breakdown of what I said that I didn't need words on that one, since I put this in mine i'll go ahead and post it for those who want to listen and read. English translations Sometimes the obvious things are the hardest to see You suffocated with your bare hands When everything points out that finally someone comes to rescue you You find yourself abandoned again

You are correct. They do NOT have a bad song. Their second single in Spanish and I don't understand all but a few words and phrases. But, THIS kicks ass in any language!
From one of my most liked bands to another, Sabaton (power metal). In case you want to do more reactions to songs in other languages Sabaton has some songs in Swedish. They did do one bad thing, their very first performance was a Christmas festival at their school and they chose to do a kiss (kiss sucks and are the absolute worst, well maybe the doors are worse) song. I can forgive them because they were really young and they never played it again. But from that moment on they were simply flawless... Oh a fun fact, by signing with Lava Records they are the first Mexican artist to be signed to a US label.
Her music was though, that's the cross over part I was talking about. There was so much hope for her cross over album from being a Tejano vocalist into the English format that many artists were hoping for her to break that barrier, which she definitely did even after her passing. The legacy that has been left from her music has opened many doors for artists.
Welcome to The Warning Army family.💕☮️🤘🏽

MARTIRIO A BEAUTIFUL THEME OF THE WARNING, QUALITY, POWER AND FEELING
ARE SEEN IN THIS THEME, ANOTHER LEVEL OF ROCK, THE NEW ROCK HAS ARRIVED
Pau is a huge proponent of vision boards, She had the outfits and overall ascetic ideas for Choke and Evolve way back when they were still writing the songs.

Great reaction. I think the Warning would be huge in Japan. Maybe they can record a Live in Japan album when they tour there.
Excellent reaction
Excelente reacción!💥👍🤘🏿

Right on, I don't speak Spanish BUT TW's 2 songs in Spanish are for sure tugging at emotions.
They are wise beyond their years in both lyrics and music comprehension, how to make you feel what they are playing. This rocks in an language! not in my top 5 but still great none the less
I reckon these girls could sing the telephone book and it’d still be awesome.
I only know a tiny bit of Spanish and I didn't get much from this one but I had seen the lyrics. Musically, it is terrific and I will come to love the lyrics as I did with Narcissita, their other song in Spanish
Are Pau's drums crunchy enough for you here? 😉
She's a drumming beast!! Incredible.
Martirio

Martyr
Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see
You choked with your own hands

You find yourself abandoned again
Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment)

You try to find an explanation in the deepest of your being and you fall into the void (emptiness) again
At last you realize in secret that the pain will stay, it will be your new life of martyrdom
There's no turning back, you can't escape from the fire at your feet
And in the darkness, you'll get lost (you will lose yourself)
Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment)
It's your destiny, give in (surrender)
