I also remember learning about it again during a high school science class when I was 14 (the lesson went for an hour with a room full of 30 girls). My older sisters never go the talk either, it was all learnt in school but if we ever had any questions all we had to do was ask mum but she herself never brought it up.
Me neither, never really needed it, I always kinda knew how it works because I used to be a nature nerd from the age of 6. all the extra knowledge I collected afterwards from any other source.
That's pretty much how my mom was with me. She never tried to hide anything from me or my brother. If I asked a question, she was fairly straightforward, while still mostly age-appropriate of course. And that's how I plan to raise my children, when I have them.
I think the whole problem about “the talk” coming from parents is that it’s a very intimate topic, so after it happens, it opens this entire perspective between you and your parents that you then have to live with for goodness knows how many years in the same house. In my opinion it’s better to have an “Uncle Jensen” there (who is trustworthy of course) to provide an outside space for reflection. That way you’re not gonna feel like your privacy is always gonna be open to your parents.
It's better to know from the parents and have accurate information than something wrong from the internet or from friends. And since we live in the internet world, the talk has to come out much younger than my generation.
Lol nah. Everything I learned from my friends and the internet. When I got the talk, I got it when I was 12 and I was in class and we were told maybe 2-3 months before by my teacher, he was probably the best teacher I ever had. He was also really funny. So during the time we knew he would always joke about a special guest coming in and everyone quickly thought ‘The Talk’. My 3 best friends were freaking out not wanting to know about that. So the called in the parents in the Wednesday night a week before to tell them the same thing they’ll tell us but just not as horrible. And they got a book and a cd. My parents didn’t go because we were on holidays and we got back Tuesday the next week. So the day I got back. I got the talk. And 2 woman came in and they made us draw on posters, write down, give us names for the parts and me an my 3 friends sat together. Dying of embarrassment. We also watched the cd and got a very graphic video, cartoon style of the whole thing. We also had a HUGE, talk about consent. It took 3 hours to do our talk. So at the end of the day my teacher gave me an envelope contain a book and cd. With the exact same contents we saw today with the same cartoon. I put the parcel in my kitchen on a tin that was on the corner counter. Also the talk happened at the end of the year, three day before we left. My parents also knew I was getting the talk but they didn’t know when. And they didn’t know until later that night when they found the envelope. They read the note about how the talk for the parents was happening Wednesday at 7:00 pm. And they were like ah well too late now. And I was like “are ye stupid? That happened LAST Wednesday” So my parents were about to sit me down and have the talk with me and I was like. “No way in hell! I had one talk I ain’t having another one” and just left them there and didn’t come out of my room till the next morning
I’ve known basically everything since I was 8 cause my mam always used to ask me if I knew what sex was all the time so I didn’t “grow up too fast” and I googled it cause I was confused but I thought it was too longwinded to go through every time so I pretended I didn’t know.
i agree. the oldest child between the two of them is SIX. the sex talk is far off. that question was a little invasive, and not really something that most would want to share with the general public. they handled it gracefully though, as usual
Ummm, do you have a sense of humor? Wow, you defenders of J2's honors are super funny. Obviously, they thought it was funny, so why get bent out of shape about it?
Silly thing for Shep to get in trouble about. When I was little I thought babies came out of Mom's stomach (since that's where they seemed to be kept) and I was taught to call my vagina my "front bum". Better for kids to know what it all is.
My mom just said, "Okay, sex. If you ever feel the need just tell me and we'll get you on the pill." And that was it. I was a bit flustered and at a loss for words.
Poor boys, their kids are growing fast. I just got a book for Christmas when I was 8/9 called let's talk about sex with a cartoon bird and bee. I remember it having a double page spread of drawn naked people: boys, girls, men and women, of all sizes, shapes, ages, colour, and some in wheelchairs and with crutches etc. It also had lots of details about diseases you could get- freaked me out loads. Don't remember ever actually getting a talk.
I don't think so. Jared said in 1 panel that he doesn't wanna have to explain why uncle Jensen killed mommy. They also don't wanna explain why they're dead
@@theonewithbrothers6414 Uncle Jensen killed mommy because she’s a demon, which in real-life terms means a lady who is very attracted to gay men! Oops.
I love u guys I have been watching supernatural for a while now and I have watched all of the seasons but 11 but I love supernatural but I have fought up now
I am sorry but as a childcare worker I am incredibly disheartened and angry at how that centre reacted to what Shep said. How on earth could they think it appropriate to get him in to trouble for saying 'vagina' or informing his classmates that 'babies come from the vagina'. We need to be teaching our children about their bodies and about respecting their own and others, how can we even begin to teach them if we can't even use correct terminology.
I dunno... I totally agree for the most part, but I can only imagine what a bitch fit some haughty helicopter parent would throw if they walked past a whole classroom of four year olds chanting "VAGINA, VAGINA, VAGINA, VAGINA!!!" at the top of their lungs. I'm guessing it was more the disruption to the class than him actually breaking the news that kids don't come from storks, y'know?
2 years late but I'll tell you anyways. The second 2 are from 6x09 (the one about the fairies) but idk about the first one cause I'm only on season 6 and literally just watched 6x09 a few hours ago lmao
It isn’t, some folks just wants us all ashamed and incapable of happiness, as well as ignorant about consent. I love these two guys, they are like, my idea of “normal” - as in not bogged down by negativity. You can see they’re still shy in their own way and quite old-fashioned. Yes there are jokes and double-entendres, but it’s always from a place of kindness.
lol I was like 7, 8, or 9, (One of those years) when I watched true blood and safe to say that I didn't quite need the talk. First episode in and I already had the gist of it.
This is one thing that always confused me when watching american television. "The talk"... guys don't you learn that in school? Like 6th grade biology class you are supposed to learn everything about sex, safe sex, reproduction, periods etc etc. We even learned how to apply condoms on a wood penis. That was awkward. But at least no one got pregnant later
I'm not really sure about American public schools, I live in America but I went to private school for grades 5-8. We got a short talk in class once but mostly nothing was discussed. Apparently parents are supposed to give the talk, don't quote me on that though because I don't get along with either of my parents. I learned everything I know from friends and the internet.
similar story, not involving body parts but still more adult level speech, when I was like 2 years old my mom used to mutter "Fucking kids" under her breath--because i mean when you have a 2 year old and a juggernaut(literally) 1 year old running around, that happens ya know--so then me, being the attentive schild i was, ended up miming her, walking around the house and muttering "fucking kids". XD I don't remember it at all but mom says I did it, and thankfully I didn't like continue that habit after lol
I never had "the talk". I just somehow knew how it all went down when I was like 6 or something, but I have no freaking idea of how or why I knew that 😅 I must've seen something about it in a book or the tv. Like, I didn't know 100% until sex ed, but I was very aware of what acts needed to be done in order for there to be a kid. I knew what went where so to speak, just not the actual mechanics of it all.
I thought about it too, because they were born like 3 and 3 but opposite ratios. But that would be assuming too much, if you see what I mean. Also, it would be weird, because their dads don’t even know what to call their own thing label-wise, so it would be forcing them to switch between a bunch of different titles… way too weird. Alexander the Great-weird.
Lol that's better than my parents. My mom never gave me any form of the talk and at a certain age when she tried to (which was about a year ago, I'm 14 now), I ended up just kind of telling her not to because honestly everyone knows I know. I'm not exactly super innocent lol
It's on Thursdays now. But it's pretty much been on every week night except Mondays, I think. The CW has bumped it all over the schedule over the years, and then threw it on Fridays to die around S6 or 7, I think, where it actually did better than all their other Friday shows ever did, so they bumped it back to a prime time day. Then another. And another. And then they changed it to an 8pm time instead of 9... Basically, it gets bounced all over the place, because the network knows this fandom will follow it everywhere.
I have no memory of having the talk when i was little im 30 now i started to read adult fantasy romance when i was 12 my mom was an drug and alcohol addict before 12 the only ones who would have told me would have been my grandma or my aunt
The only talk i got was that if i ever willingly let anyone touch me in my private areas, i would immediately die and go to hell. 30yrs later and I still havent tried my luck.
OMG, I hate that incapacitating bs. But note that there are Asexual people also, I used to think I had some kind of blockage, but the truth is I was never sex-negative and never denied myself anything if I really wanted it. I just happen to be Ace, which is part of the queer spectrum.
Babies come from the womb, not vaginas. Ok, Jared says his kid said “Out of vaginas” to be precise… but the focus on the vagina has an underlying link to the sex act rather than babies per se. (Not trying to psych anyone lol - just to point out that language creates certain expectations.) Also, the Stork story is metaphorically correct too: storks used to symbolise “Fallen Angels” who were believed to be the fathers of highly intelligent people like witches/wizards.
Jensen: You speak like a medical show. Jared: Yeah! We call them... I'm sorry, but we call them what they're called. Jensen: what are they called, Jared?
I got a question. In my country we learn that around the age of 8 at school. I don't think anybody talked with there parents about it. So is it the parents job in the rest of the world? :D
Conventionally, at least in America, from what I've heard it used to be parents. Now though most of us already know without our parents having to tell us (I say us because I am 14). My mom never gave me the talk and she never plans to, and my dad would never either. At a certain point they just assumed I knew, which was fair because I did. I learned everything from my friends and the internet so it doesn't make a difference.
fck jellybeans „ruin the surprises“ I think... i always feel like those clips are so hard to understand without a transcript because it’s so loud and stuff. Especially if English is not you’re mothertongue like in my case
@@some_soul3902 You were right, don't worry. 😉 But I agree with con vids being hard to make out sometimes, and I'm British. English IS our mother language, lol. On a side note, please may I steal 'Fuck jellybeans' as an exclamation, because I honestly love that so much, lol. 😂
Kids don’t come from vaginas lmao, they come from the womb. Love Jared for not being convinced they don’t come from storks! 😂 The stork story actually refers to Fallen Angels so, grain of truth and all that.

Do you think J2 would let their kids watch supernatural?
I don't think so. Jared said in 1 panel that he doesn't wanna have to explain why uncle Jensen killed mommy. They also don't wanna explain why they're dead
@@theonewithbrothers6414 Uncle Jensen killed mommy because she’s a demon, which in real-life terms means a lady who is very attracted to gay men! Oops.
OMG Just saw Rob on an old episode of Monk can't look at him without seeing Capital GOD
In all fairness though, children come from wombs not vaginas.
Those Supernatural clips that you put into the video, which SPN episode was that?
2 years late but I'll tell you anyways. The second 2 are from 6x09 (the one about the fairies) but idk about the first one cause I'm only on season 6 and literally just watched 6x09 a few hours ago lmao
Edits killed the video
I have never understood how the correct term for a body part is a bad word.
I just somehow knew how it all went down when I was like 6 or something, but I have no freaking idea of how or why I knew that 😅
I must've seen something about it in a book or the tv.
Like, I didn't know 100% until sex ed, but I was very aware of what acts needed to be done in order for there to be a kid. I knew what went where so to speak, just not the actual mechanics of it all.
Yo I just realized what if Jared and Jensen's kids get together in like 10-15 years, that would be cute
Why is "the tall" sich a huge Thing? My parents gave me a book about it all and that was it.
Lol that's better than my parents. My mom never gave me any form of the talk and at a certain age when she tried to (which was about a year ago, I'm 14 now), I ended up just kind of telling her not to because honestly everyone knows I know. I'm not exactly super innocent lol
Please could someone tell me what the fan shouts at 2:24 ? “What do you know about...” fill in the blank for me please lol x
That one's bugging me too! I can't make it out either.
What night is this show on? I am so confused coz it started on Thurs back in 05
It's on Thursdays now. Basically, it gets bounced all over the place, because the network knows this fandom will follow it everywhere.
what do you use to watermark?
2:08 scene ? What season amd what episode please
I have no memory of having the talk when i was little im 30 now i started to read adult fantasy romance when i was 12 my mom was an drug and alcohol addict before 12 the only ones who would have told me would have been my grandma or my aunt
Jensen is just done at this point
My mum gave me the talk when I was four
Nice video 😀
What does the person in the audience yell at 2.24?
They should just show their kids they're certain "scenes" fro supernatural
I call them pink canoes
What did they say at 1:53 and after the clip?
I know it's a lot but I don't understand it and I would love to laugh too
Purple Dragon thank you
What episode was that were Dean walked in on Sam with that girl lol
"clap your hands if you believe" in season 6
6x09
Guys what episode is that when dean caught sam having s*x?
Ako si Mart it’s the one with the fairies I think it’s ‘clap your hands if you believe’ in season 6 episode 9 I’m pretty sure
Lana Robertson many thanks
The only talk i got was that if i ever willingly let anyone touch me in my private areas, i would immediately die and go to hell. 30yrs later and I still havent tried my luck.
OMG, I hate that incapacitating bs. But note that there are Asexual people also, I used to think I had some kind of blockage, but the truth is I was never sex-negative and never denied myself anything if I really wanted it. I just happen to be Ace, which is part of the queer spectrum.
My mum gave me the talk when I was 4 so... 🤷🏻♀️
Well...... Shep's not wrong lmao
Babies come from the womb, not vaginas. Ok, Jared says his kid said “Out of vaginas” to be precise… but the focus on the vagina has an underlying link to the sex act rather than babies per se. (Not trying to psych anyone lol - just to point out that language creates certain expectations.) Also, the Stork story is metaphorically correct too: storks used to symbolise “Fallen Angels” who were believed to be the fathers of highly intelligent people like witches/wizards.
can someone please tell me hat they say around 1:53 both jensen and jared
*what
Jensen: You speak like a medical show.
Jared: Yeah! We call them... I'm sorry, but we call them what they're called.
Jensen: what are they called, Jared?
thankyou :D
I got a question. In my country we learn that around the age of 8 at school. I don't think anybody talked with there parents about it.
So is it the parents job in the rest of the world? :D
Conventionally, at least in America, from what I've heard it used to be parents. Now though most of us already know without our parents having to tell us (I say us because I am 14). My mom never gave me the talk and she never plans to, and my dad would never either. At a certain point they just assumed I knew, which was fair because I did. I learned everything from my friends and the internet so it doesn't make a difference.
I’m Never Gonna Have Kids
What episode was that where dean walks in on sam?
Mackenzie Jones clap your hands if you believe in season 6
3:22 I don't want my kids to be the ones that what?
fck jellybeans „ruin the surprises“ I think... i always feel like those clips are so hard to understand without a transcript because it’s so loud and stuff.
“Ruin the surprises” 😂🤣
0:54
He didn't really lose it. LOL
Kids don’t come from vaginas lmao, they come from the womb. Love Jared for not being convinced they don’t come from storks! 😂 The stork story actually refers to Fallen Angels so, grain of truth and all that.
I just wonder what he said to jensen, but you can’t read his lips ig hahahahha
Fuuuuuck i almost went to this i’m in ontario london i would have gone but i don’t have any 💵
Jared I love you. I hate you but I love you.
What episode does dean walk in on Sam in bed
"clap your hands if you believe" in season 6

So Funny! L😂L!
