- Sunshine, Redcloud, and Handies are some of my favorite 14ers in Colorado, so I jumped at the chance to do them all in one day when Ray and Pacer invited me on their adventure. Ray also gives some advice on running and hiking with dogs.

Could you ever let Pacer hike with out a leash when it's safe?
How long did it take to train pacer and how did you know she was ready? Many dogs would pull their owners off a cliff!
5:18 what's on your dog's paws?
She has rubber dog booties on to protect her paws from the rocks. Dogs can sometimes cut or wear their paws out on rocks. She doesn't always need them, but it's best to be safe and always have them just in case for rockier runs/hikes.
