Imagine the man who killed your dad visiting your class to talk about being a prison inmate
IKR I’d hate it (No my Dad not dead) but if that was a real school wouldn’t the school not have some background about each pupils like who their parents are and what happened to them and all sorts
This was a good storyline. I thought it was clever of the writers to have Gail unwittingly serve Darren a cuppa in the cafe as well.
What episode of when was that ? When Gail served Darren a cuppa I mean
@@aoifekennedy9004 27 May 1998; it aired on ITV3 today.
@@Roryvhs ohh ok thanks
Coronation St was Brilliant in the 90s, so glad I can watch again. I remember watching the original on ITV.
What annoys me is I bet they wouldn’t have a murderer talking to a class if they killed a child. Or a possibly a woman. Its because he killed a man they think it’s acceptable to talk to a class about it. Wrong on so many levels! Every murder should be treated equally. And definitely the murderer should be sentenced more than just nine years! 🙄
They wouldn't have a sex offender either but society even sees that as worse than murder.
But that is society; men are always seen as fair game and not as worthy as needing protection. I thought it was inappropriate too them having a murderer in chatting to the class, a less serious crime like robbery or fraud be more fitting.
This was nearly 25 years ago …
I agree now I’m not sure if they knew or not but I think if they knew the prisoner’s murder victim was a father of a pupil at their school they definitely wouldn’t have him come in but I don’t know
That is 22 years ago and Adam R. has aged brilliantly, still very fresh looking.
At 0:30, Joe is played by an actor who showed up again a few months later as Toyah's boyfriend Phil Dobson.
He's just shown up on ITV3.
How unfortunate.
Why did they not have Ian Aspinall the actor who originally played Darren Whateley in this scene instead of getting a new actor ?
Because that’s what they usually do with returning characters if they’re significant
@@Isafell2001 oh ok thank you
It sounded like he only got 10 years for killing someone where was the other 2 shouldn't they have been there as well?
That was fit.
I’m just thinking how did Gail know who Brian Tilsley’s killer was or what he looked like she’s never seen him or is there something that I’m missing ?
I don't understand how Gail never recognised him? Not sure wasn't a corrie fan back then I did like Brian Thought he was good actor not sure if Gail actually knew who killed Brian. But he made huge mistake leaving the knife in Brian Finger prints and straight to him? I would have thought. But the other Question is what happened to the other lads that was involved?
Dave Humphrey I suppose they would of had shorter sentences as they were accomplices. Darren was the one who stabbed Brian so would of faced the most severe punishment.
What do you mean ?
Its our Nicky number two,
Pretty lame from Nick Tilsley. As soon as the penny dropped he should’ve jumped across those desks and had a go. Under the circumstances I’m sure the college would’ve cut him some slack afterwards and even if they didn’t.. how would you live with yourself afterwards, knowing you’d come face to face with your father’s killer and just sat there sulking feeling sorry for yourself?
Oliviamcglynn your favourite TV show it is coronation street I like nick and David and Sarah
