Honestly not one of my favorite playlists of yours. Needs more recognizable themes, fewer obscure RPG themes etc. Too much meandering piano. We don't really need video game music if that's all we are after, there are plenty of relaxing music playlists out there. So these playlists should tie to the world of video games a tad more I feel. Just my 2 cents
@@streetbiird I mean I get it, I sometimes do also depending on how good or memorable they are. But my point is that I don't need to listen to a video game to just get a random piano melody. There are a zillion channels that offer that. Channels catering to the video game niche I think would be better served to use distinct, sort of familiar songs from video games to generate that nostalgia that comes along with the music. It doesn't always have to be a Mario song or something, but a catchy or memorable video game song should come up more often than it does here. Some of this channel's videos are great.... After my comment last night I switched to another one (one with a gif of a cat boss and what looked like a goblin or something facing the player character in a forest). It was banger after banger - kingdom hearts, super Mario sunshine, Zelda, dire dire docks all within the first ten songs. Much better
Some channels have a distinct taste and style, which is a good thing in my opinion. I rarely see channels add bangers from games like Pikmin, Earthbound, Xenoblade, and Maple Story like Fox does. It's what makes people that enjoy them come back to Fox. If I'm in the mood for a Zelda, Pokemon, Mario playlist, etc I just hit up another channel. I think it's pretty nice that Fox doesn't just default to the popular meta VGMs like most channels would, and if I ever crave those, I can hit them up anytime I want anyways! Regardless, most of his songs are recognizable if you're a seasoned gamer, in my opinion. I still agree with you somewhat though, in that its mostly the same songs on repeat every livestream. Although I usually stick to Fox because I like his list, but sometimes I do wander off somewhere else for that exact reason. He does take requests from time to time though! Along with specifically catered playlists, like the All-Star Zelda he did a while ago. But anyway, I really hope he realizes at some point that he's using Silva's version of Froenborg... so many people mention it whenever it's played. 😅
