Got this, installed it, and am now whacking down huge clumps of guinea grass on Kauai. With regards to noise: a few drops of chain saw bar oil will help to quiet it right down.

Do they have a recommended oil for maintaining the blades? The noise and blade style reminds me of some hedge clippers that I was using that were ridiculously loud. I ended up putting a small spray of oil and it lowered the volume by like 10 db.
I’m using maruyama grease mixed with some harbor freight grease and it’s working well! 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

How did the rotary scissors hold up over time? Saw some significant wear on it at the end of the video. I have to regularly replace blades on my edger. This attachment seems expensive if it needs to be replaced from wear.
I abuse the heck out of my scissors and haven’t broken anything on them yet! And I use my equipment more often than most I mow everyday so rotary scissors are used about 5 times a week! Def worth it 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
These fit sideways on my ego multi tool
The standard trimmer has the Allen key bolt on top, the power rotary scissors has it on the side. Did you need to change anything to have the orientation work the right way up vs the battery/controls?

Would it work for sticker bushes? I use a regular hedger tool for sticker bushes now. Works pretty good to just take them down! The thick stalks I use a pole saw. 8:08 I am not cool!

I been meaning to ask, do you think the application of tenacity has controlled POA? I seen few vids ago you had a little start to turn white, did it die off ?
I think the combination of tenacity and t-Nex helped control it for sure yes. At the end of the day though it’s combination of the entire process I’ve done since Feb including the overseeding process 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
Can this unit be converted to work with Honda gas trimmer and where to buy?

How's it handle bumping into stuff? Ie those bricks in your video, bumping into the sidewalk, or what if I hit my vinyl fence? Might have to stick to string

Hey brotha 🤙🏾 rotary scissors works with any straight shaft trimmer with solid shaft! I know my buddy Nick that’s on here put his on a husqvarna gas trimmer… shoot I would hit up some pawn shops and see if they got any decent trimmers you can put it on I’ve seen a ton of solid shaft trimmers there for $30! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

Am I correct in assuming that you need the string trimmer attachment so that you have a shaft to attach the rotary scissors to?
I.e. you can't just get the multi tool skin without an attachment, and the rotary scissors?

Yes you have to buy some kind of trimmer with driveshaft I know there are some gas trimmers like husqvarna has a pretty affordable one… if you check eBay sometimes they have the attachment for under $100 the multi tool for under $100 then they rotary scissors but yeah it gets kinda pricey 😩😊🙏🏾🤙🏾🙌🏾
