These cities are the African that CNN and BBC dont often show you on TV. Africa as a whole is so beautiful ❤. Africa is the future. One love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Abuja, Nigeria should be on that list. P. S: skyscrapers & high rise building should not be the standard of an affluent or modern city. Every city has its unique identity. Some cities plan to expand horizontally and not vertically.
Very good content. Most of the viewers here are Africans, who already know what's in their continent. I wish you could also show these other faces of Africa to those who've been brainwashed by the Western media, especially the Americans and the Europeans. Thanks for trying your best to show that other side of Africa the world has been blinded to.
I applaud development but what i would like to see is the resources uplifting empowering all the citizens not just few individuals boasting about being millionaires when the are people struggling to make the end meet on a daily basis. 🇿🇦
Hi family please come to the mother land south Africa with the children to get some blessings from your ancestors and brother your wife has got a twin sister who look exactly like her here in South Africa.
Addis Ababa Ethiopia is the best. I was their and I was very happy. Many beautiful girls were smiling at me. I did not see any girls with tattoos, though
Tattoo is not an African thing, though a few number of the population has it , but they are seen as bad, especially on a woman, on women it's even seen as signs of not being a good woman and also that you're a prostitute
Kenya is one of the countries I definitely want to visit outside of Southern Africa... Not just to see the landscapes, but to experience their seemingly wonderful and humble People.
Honestly there are way better compilation videos for African cities. And well captured drone views..Luanda is fire 🔥..I love Africa ,thank you for sharing
Positive narrative about Africa that the world needs to see right now, we are tired of negative portrayal of western media of Africa with hunger wars and poverty, the enemies of our continent are not happy to see Africa prospering but we making strides, moving foward!
Development to me is not about how rich the elites are but how the average person lives, There is no limit on what a billionaire can build anywhere on earth but what matters most is how many people benefit from the infrastructure. Access to clean water quality homes, medical care, education,Security and career opportunities should be the measure for progress. There are many small cities in Africa that offer a higher standard of living than the giant cities in the list.
I feel South African got lucky on infrastructural development ahead of other African countries who developed their infrastructure own because it was the European colonial settlers who drove the development of most of their infrastructure at the expense of the indigenous black population. If you guys do your research, you will find out that most of the affluent infrastructure & amenities are largely own and enjoyed by European and Indian settlers as compared to the indigenous black population.
A lot of these cities picked seemed be based not on beauty but rather modernism. There seems to be a confusion of equating tall buildings with beauty, yet in the west the most beautiful cities like Washington DC, Paris, Rome, London or Lisbon are hundreds of years old and reflect the development of the host countries evolution over time, high lighting it's native architectural history. In Africa this so in the cities of Morocco and Egypt. Cape Town is a beautiful modern city that reflects it's geographical environment perfectly. With the advent of more African Architects like Adjaye, Kere and Adeyemi, hopefully a truly distinct Modern sub Saharan African Architecture can be developed instead of the soulless glass and steel towers whose purpose it seems to to be is to get as far away from earth as possible.
I was about to make a similar comment. Except i wouldnt equate tall buildings to modernism. This video is just calling out cities with tall buildings. Has nothing to do with beauty or modernisation.
Why is ''the west'' your barometer of what constitutes 'beautiful'? If London likes it Victorian buildings, it doesn't mean everyone else should be archaic-minded. Asians love their skyscrapers as do Africans. The prototype of the skyscraper was the ancient African obelisks dated thousands of years old. Google the 'Obelisk of Axum'. For thousands of years the tallest buildings in the world were in Africa, namely the pyramids of Egypt and Nubia, and the obelisks of Ethiopia. So building tall is VERY African.
The difference between South Africa and Kenya is the fact that SA is a mixed race country whose development has much to do with the white race unlike Kenya whose economy has been built by the original black inhabiters.
That's absolute nonsense,SA is one of the most mineral rich countries in the world and its bulit on the back of that and not the race of anyone. We are taxed to the bone in this country to have all these big infrastructure projects built and maintained. You need to free yourself from mental slavery and this inferiority complex that makes you think that you need white people to develop your countries.
I am certain that the majority of the investors supporting these projects are white. Considering that most African countries were colonized, let's not deceive ourselves. Regarding South Africa, we were the last to achieve our freedom, yet we are the second country with a large number of black millionaires. I believe this demonstrates our ability to learn quickly
There was a project for Symbio city in Pretoria Centurion. The tallest tower will be a whopping 447m. Not quite sure if they're still going ahead with it.
