I have the complete opposite idea. I think things will actually get better. Less toxic fans, more competitiveness, more fairness. Things will go back to normal where every year someone new wins. Which will motivate more players to achieve their dream of being the best. At a certain point everyone knew it would be Ronaldo or Messi when they won a couple of times undeserved. For those claiming that it has to do with who is the best I agree Messi was the best but it should be to whoever contributed the most to their team’s trophies. The likes of Neuer, Sneijder, Neymar and so on who should’ve won.
The Messi and Ronaldo era had the most concentrated super teams with some of the very best attacking talent in history. For me the 90s/early 2000s had a lot more quantity of legendary players, more great teams and much better defenders. Nowadays a Man City literally hogs two teams worth of top talent that would have been spread out a lot more in the past. This new era is being dominated by tactics, preventing individuals from shining as bright
yeah good point, it feels like we are shifting away from individualism and football is becoming a more of team/tactic based sport. Pep was probably the catalyst behind this shift imo
@@Radmanx23 I think it's Pep and all his copycats but also statistics. Similar tactical shift has happened in basketball to the point that the game is broken.
