There are many movies on saints in South India. In Telugu there are movies on Tukaram, Vemana, Veerabrahmendra Swamy, Annamacharya, Aadhi Shankaracharya, Ramadaasu and many more which I don't recollect the names of. Also there are many movies on Gods godesses. Now I wonder why bollywood hasn't got a single movie like that. Seriously, Ramayan and Mahabharat serials saved Hindi speaking ppl.

Sir this Bollywood was responsible to resurrect many "Santana" dharma traditions which were on the verge of extinction.... Jai Maa Santoshi movie took Friday fasting to each home, Sai Baba movie made shirdi one of the most visiting temple, jai maa vaishno devi increased footfall in Katra and made annual visit to Maa darbar a tradition, Om Namah Shivay movie inspired people for Monday fasting, Many of our bhajans which we sing in our homes during poojas are bollywood songs... Our many school prayers are also Bollywood songs...
Bollywood is not a homogeneous body.... If any person or organization with ample resources wants to make a movie on any topic s/he can make it freely.... It's open for all... Many religious institutions have made movies...
Also, you say Sanatana Dharma should prevail everywhere..... Well, fine by me.... But can you explain what is Sanatan Dharma exactly in your opinion???
@@Vibhorpsingh So according to u just bcoz they gave many beautiful bhajans and showed fasting and all these things bollywood is right in spreading anything which brings down sanatan dharma, promote drugs, degrade cultural values, promote pakistan narrative, undo our soldiers sacrifice who are fighting on the border day n night for us to save us from China's fury and Pakistan's infiltration ?????
And FYI these kind of movies that u talked about are not made these days, these days bollywood is selling bullshit, killing young and talented people like SSR, destroying women's lives through casting couch, maybe these things don't matter to u as u have biased view abt all these things and u have formed an opinion that whatever is shown in movies is right and there is nothing wrong in but you should understand with great power comes great responsibility and this medium is so powerful that if used for spreading awareness and education it can do wonders and at the same time if not used properly can destroy millions.
And as far as my definition of santan Dharma is considered...who am I to give any definition on it ? It's already there in Bhagwat Gita and I consider it the manual for human life.
PS: Bhagwat Gita has been considered as the greatest scripture which is even made a compusolry subject in education system of many countries and some are in the process of making it a compulsory subject.
