    i am so proud of him literally. i’ve watched him all season and i wanted him to be a “reliable” scorer off the bench by golden state standards. I thought he proved that especially from january to february when steph had that slump. but you know, ever since i first watch golden state in 2015, i have dreamt of the possibility of having another guy as productive, efficient, dynamic, and lethal as steph. so this march, i was just blown away but what i saw. dude was BALLING. he was legit. he has every making of a star player and i literally cannot believe that we got him. and these playoffs have just been a revelation. my man is dropping an average of like 28 for his first 3 playoff games at 60%+ efficiency. like, these numbers are so crazy. and the fact that he’s only 22 just means that he can only grow from here. he is the next face of this franchise. sending all the love man, keep balling.

      I don't see him leaving even if that means take a little bit money off the table. Jordan Poole is developed by the Warriors and even if we just look at it as a completely business side, Poole is able to grow and shine alongside with probably the best super star teammates in Steph and Klay, who both are still in their prime. This is the best situation for Poole because he will be able to grow and also add ring counts to his resume.
      No way the Warriors not keeping this guy so the question is who is gone? I think Andrew Wiggins because as good as he is, his upside is more limited than Wiseman.

    Wiggins will probably be let go, even tho he's been great on both end of the floor, I don't think Dray and splash bros will be split even tho their individual contracts are massive, but they meant so much to the Bay, Bob will probably get boo if he break up this core. Let alone Kunminga is a perfect replacement, and Warriors are always thin at the 5. So they will take the chances with Wise.

      It all comes down to ownerships willingness to pay luxury tax. Because we acquired Wiggins through a trade, we'll have his bird rights. Pools on a rookie extension, so we've got him locked up too. Wake up would not, I think, care too much about losing some money for a couple of seasons if it meant winning another chip or two. Hell, he paid 80 million all in for a one-year rental of Kelly Oubre, Jr.
      Also, I'm pretty sure that both Lacob and Myers have echoed the OG 3 in saying that they hope Steph, Klay, and Draymond all remain Warriors until retirement.
      Those three are such Bay Area heroes and so box office that I'm pretty sure they'll get whatever contracts they require to stick around. After all, the franchise is worth something like 10 times what ownership paid for it in 2010. Can you imagine the long-term value added of drafting the OG 3, having them win call it four or five championships in six or seven trips, maybe more, then retiring as a warriors?
      Now imagine if we do the same with our next big three, with Wiggins in the Iguodala role. If the Warriors can transition to that, and have a fraction of the success as the OG 3, it would be worth paying an exorbitant tax bill.

    Wiggins typically takes on the best defender of the other team and is always crashing the boards and coming through with game-winning plays. Wiggins is extremely efficient. He's taken less than 10 shots a game during the playoffs and still hitting sometimes 50%. That's very difficult to do without touches. Get rid of him and The Warriors will have a bigger problem to deal with. Most good teams have a good guard and a beast of a shooting forward on their team. Without Wiggins, Klay will put more stress on those knees and legs and only bad things came come from that.

      I feel you with Wiggins but I feel that Kuminga could be a good replacement. He is still raw and can be molded into what they would lose in Wiggins. Both Kuminga and Wiggins are they same height but I think Kuminga might have an edge atheletically and he weighs more so that translates into possibly stronger too... I've always thought their issue was at the 5. Their best center to date was Bogut (Cousins ?). Looney is a good utility big but not very confident or skilled. Wiseman is a Beast if he can stay Healthy! Lastly - if GS trades for K.D. I'm off the couch for them. Young extreme talent in the right hands, which GS state has proved is a plus. Why pay all that money in one when you can spread it across a few young future teachable, coachable, cheeper players.

  • @Ijump665
    @Ijump665 2 роки тому +13

    I think the best reason for poole’s improvement was the core players and the team’s value about ball movement. Almost every player that went to GSW improves because of these things. 1 year of great game doesn’t create a great player. Look what happen to other players who chase money than a home team. Lastly, i think poole is wise enough to think that this is his future team now after steph so he’ll make the right decisions.

    It’s obvious Wiseman must go. Andrew Wiggins is actually proven to be a good borderline all star player that only needs to be a 4th option on the Warriors which he is more than capable of doing. Wiseman is still a question mark and Andrew is a good wing defender which is invaluable.

    • @justjami9619
      @justjami9619 2 роки тому +3

      I like your thinking but I disagree. With Poole's offensive development, you can let Wiggins go, and you can find defense for cheaper than Wiggins would cost. This is assuming that Wiseman develops into what we belive that he will be. I like Wiggins, but the lack of big men has been the one thing that GS has really lacked. Having Wismen would be huge. If they could find a serviceable athletic big that pop out and shoot at a reasonable cost then I would agree with keeping Wiggins, but that would be exponentially harder to find and much costlier than finding a 3 and D guy.

      @@mysticalgamer9368 the point is that we don't know what he'll be--but people who've had a chance to observe him day in and day out speak incredibly highly of him.
      He had the same off-season trainer this summer he's got drafted that lebron, cp3, melo, and a few other hall of fame players have used for years. That guy said he thought David Robinson with point guard skills, a bigger stronger Chris Bosh, or Giannis with a better shot we're all the kids ceiling. Called him a future all star, guaranteed, and potentially a future mvp/hofer caliber player.
      More, he gets the same praise that people gave Jordan pool, steph, clay, and Draymond at different times: that he's a very smart, very hard working young man dedicated not to fame or money, but to be coming the best basketball player he can be, ideally one of the all-time greats. That he's always in the gym, always quizzing the veterans for how he can be better.
      I don't know how long you guys have been fans, but I remember way too many years where the Warriors would miss a superstar in the draft by one or two places like the twolves missed Steph picking Rubio and Flynn at the 5th and 6th pics... Or the times we let a promising player go only for him to blossom into an All-Star the next f****** year.
      There's a reason the Warriors draft for character, iq, and athletic basketball talent. Besides, imagine having a front court of Chris Bosh with a handle and a power forward who combines LeBron's demigod-like physical gifts with the kind of fundamentally sound play plus an outside shot that is the hallmark of a Warriors player in Jonathan Kuminga, with Jordan "Baby Steph/ Kid Splash" Poole and Moses "Please God Let Him Be Baby Klay" Moody and Andrew "Overpaid Iguodala" Wiggins rounding out the squad.

      @christopher pfeiffer I don’t think you know what defines a steal. A steal can be any pick besides 1. For instance, Jordan was definitely a steal even though he was the 3rd overall pick, simply because he was so much better than the players before him. Dirk was a steal at 9, Kobe at 13, etc. curry was taken before two point guards who are out of the league, and Klay before a guard that’s out of the league, so he’s definitely a steal.

      @christopher pfeiffer Ok, that doesn’t mean they’re not a steal when far worse players come before them. Even in the lottery players aren’t expected to become number one options for quite some time.

    We’ve already seen kuminga and moody become solid and maybe a little above average at best so wiseman probably isn’t going to top that
    On the other hand Jordan Poole has the chance of becoming the next steph curry once he retires and possibly be a future mvp so the best move in this situation is to move on from wiseman

If they win everything and the players are happy with the results, then Lacomb might have an excuse to spend up to 400M. If they burn out against the Suns or Celtics but feel they're VERY close to championship level, the players might be willing to forgo a bit of pay to keep the unit together and get Lacomb to spend up to 400M. If things go terribly or if Suns/Grizzlies/Heat are too much for them, then I can see Lacomb wanting to drop some salary or do a sign-n-trade to get a high impact big, especially if there are lingering concerns about Wiseman's knees.
