- Paul Jackson Jr. the legendary guitar player who has contributed his multi-faceted guitarisma to the biggest artists of pop,R&B, jazz and rock music: Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson (Thriller, Bad, History), Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Randy Crawford, Ramsey Lewis, Dave Koz, David Benoit, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Bobby Brown, Steely Dan etc.. just to name a few, came to our studio to show us his recent infatuation, SP Compressor. As his nick name from the American Idol, "Doc" represents, his explanation and demonstration of the compressor is so comprehensive and practical. But when it comes to demo playing of three songs from his recent albums "Still Small Voice" and "Lay It Back" , he totally smoked the studio with his incredible fluency & precision. These are amazing footage you must see!!

Xotic people, I bought this pedal on the strength of Paul's 3 part series...absolutely surperb, he made sense to a weekend hacker like myself! Love the pedal, adds that much needed squish to my Tele, through a very clean fender amp. Cheers...

Lukather use Sp Comp but Always on or just for clean sound?

He could play power chord :)
I hate when my tone gets messed up by a bunch of Xs and Os.
What jokester named an amp company Fuchs?
It’s the guys last name lol
You have your compressor at the end of the chain in all your videos... Why do you like it there compared to having it first
you're loosing all your dynamics Paul. it's ok for everything else but the blues you want to hear it all. Love your work though :)
I think with the compression on it gives Paul a little more of a 'cryin' sound - which is great, for the blues...
