they both use to be programmers and both have master's degrees in mathematics as well, toast has even created a few games (nothing major but just a few fun little projects, this also predates things like simple game engines for beginning developers like game maker studio and it was old html games so it was a bit more difficult than modern game making) also it should be noted there's videos of toast and michael reeves just chilling talking about robotics and its show their level of intelligence so it speaks loads when toast says sykkuno is smarter than himself. neither is "smarter" than the other though, because sometimes one can solve a problem while the other can not just like any other typical person, they are just both very intelligent and quick witted people
