I love Blue Archive but the best gacha anime is still Princess Connect Re:Dive for me and I don't even play that game. I highly recommend giving it a watch. It's quite slept on while it was airing. Even without knowledge of the game prior, you can enjoy it unlike BA's anime alienating people who hasn't played the game. Once the anime gets to adapting Eden's Treaty (hopefully), maybe then it'll change for me.
I’ve actually never played or watched Princess Connect myself. Might give the anime a try considering the game itself is dead.
@@KhyoKhyos If not for BA, I would have played Princess Connect after watching the anime. But that was a bullet dodged since Crunchyroll killed it just months after. Could not bring myself to endure the hassle of installing and playing the JP version

Pardon me if I'm not wrong, but didn't Priconne adaptation mostly only adapt the comedy slice of life part of the story? Because I remember how iy adopted the Konosuba way: goofy animation and funny story.
From my experience of looking at gacha game anime, usually those who focus on the slice of life part recieve better acknowledgement from viewers. While those who focus on the main story usually get bad response. Usually due to:
1. To many details got removed to compress the story into 12 ep 24 minutes anime, making the originally deep story feels bland. Basic problem for an anime adaptation.
2. Lackluster battle scene and art style. When the only image and text (and BGM) in the game can make players get hyped, mediocre animation in the ankme won't really fill the demand. Another basic problem from an adaptation.
3. The story sometimes is completely different from the original game story. And it actually became worse... Like for example, the Azur Lane anime. I won't say that it's bad. But honestly, it's mid at best.
4. And the biggest one, some title refused to animate the MC properly due to the gender ambiguity of the self insert MC.
Now back to the comparisson, if Priconne was indeed only animate the comedy slice of life part of their world, it doesn't need to care about most of those 4 "downfall" factors.
Now to Blue Archive, it decided to follow the main story instead. Which many of older adaptations failed to do. And here is why many say that Blue Archive is the better anime adaptation. It manages to evade those 4 death traps... period. So far, the lore is still stable without many lost plot. The battle scene is okay I guess, but it's still early game. The story is also loyal to the original. Lastly, they are brave enough to break the MC gender ambiguity.
Personally, I actually want Priconne that adapt the main story more into a proper anime too. Wait... The game basically already does so, right? All of those big sized cutscene animations that ate my phone storage.. But again, I prefer a proper anime that compiled all of those cutscenes. Especially now that Priconne EN is no more... How... HOW DARE YOU CRUNCHY-F*CKIN-ROLL!!! HOW DARE YOU TAKE AWAY MY REI FROM MEEEE!!!! I SWEAR THAT I WON'T FORGIVE YOU! EVER!!!
I found this relatable and it gets even hype if you played the game
For a record, cygames itself mostly had an animation cutscenes in game content so it's not surprisingly if they released the anime

Princess Connect, Uma Musume and Blue Archive are some of the best Gacha adaptations.

I recently started watching it and honestly it's a solid adaptation I hope it gets 25 episodes at most similar to how princess connect re: dive, I remember playing that game but sadly crunchyroll killed it, I hope they don't touch blue archive its one of my favorite gacha games.

Yeah. Abydoss chapters and first part of Gamedev chapter is just a prologue and introduction for the world. The main part will start at Eden Treaty. Personally, that's the turning point where Blue Archive evolved from a generic harem gacha game plot to a top tier masterpiece.

Blue archive volume 1 and 2 good story like really good but once you read volume3(trinity arc) and volume F sh*t is about to get peaked specially where phrenapates said something to shiroko alter when he wasnt turned into the guide of chroma. I literally cried of what he said.

The blue archive anime got me into the game as well and I'm really liking it
Nah, Cygames still cooks better. PriConne was insane - they did it perfectly to be enjoyable on its own. But Rage of Bahamut was the GOAT, it was a classic of its own and most people don't even realize it's based on gacha. I've also heard good things from the players of the game about Umamusume and Shadowverse past the first season. And I did watch GBF anime and while their storytelling is super rough in trying to adapt the game story as is, the visual style was very strong.
And while I had hopes that the Blue Archive anime could have its own strong, if different, atmosphere... It just doesn't compare to Arknight's atmosphere (I don't even play that one). I don't think BA anime is bad, mind you, but it's just not the best for me. Still, depending on how it goes, it might be better than KanColle (which was actually pretty good, once you account for the movie to form a cohesive story with the original first season).

The first volume had a lot to do, sadly the exposutions made it one of the slowest out of the early 4 volume and probably will only goes hard durinh ch.3 which havent drop on global

-Skip the tutorial part so now anime-only are confused
-animation is not as fluid as it should have been like look at those fight scene
-no intention to make the scene look interesting
-overall bad story pacing
-overused soundtrack(Im fine if they use game ost but they're not)
