Good morning Paul, and hello Wickford! Always a pleasure to spend some of my morning watching trains pass through Wickford! It's even more so when those trains are HST's! Keep thinking about sound fitting mine, ever since seeing John at Piccadilly sound fit his Pullman! All the best, Ian.
The HST's are on their last legs up here and due to be replaced. It's a bit frightening to think I remember when these were the shinny new thing, growling away at Paddington as I went to work each morning. Lovely to see them running in the form they were designed for. Stephen
Hello Stephen 👻 A HST always brings a smile 😃 They have had a good innings for a "stopgap" measure 😇 I'm sure they will be running on model railways for another hundred years 👍 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Hi Paul, some lovely shots of those HST’s , i remember going on one when they first came out! London to Bristol. It was very exciting going that fast as a youngster. Hope you’re having a good week, cheers for now, John
Greetings Essex and hello John 👋 We will have to tempt you to get a HST for Exehaven, I'll put the National Treasure 😇 on the job 😉 I hope the mojo is still motoring 🤞 and Cabin is alive with new track 😇 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the other Wickford ☘️
Greetings, Team Pudham, and hello, Mike 👋 Glad you enjoyed the HST show 👍 Many thanks for visiting Wickford and very best wishes to the Lowlands 🏴🥃from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Morning Paul. A lovely set of HST's on maneuvers! Hopefully the NT will approve of the First GW liveried set😅. Up early as it's a trip through to Edinburgh early doors (trying to miss the rugby crowds). Cheers Euan
Greetings Blackwood and hello Euan 👋 The National Treasure 😇 is probably at war with UA-cam Security Police 🚨 as we speak 🤔 not in "septic tank" of course 🤭 Enjoy your trip to the big smoke 🤞 and stay well away from the kilted egg chasers 🏉😳 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Never got them in my neck of woods , but bloody love them! Think ive only ever seen one in motion as a kid while on holiday darn sarf (im a norvern lad 🤣) thats a fantastic layout you have there! Cheers lloyd
Hello Lloyd 👋 Many thanks for visiting Wickford and for the very kind comments 😇 Still lots of work to do 🤔 but that's the fun part of the hobby 👍 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
beautiful passenger trains! Space Cat says those trains are way too fancy for a pair of desperate refugees from the pink wastelands! but maybe with currency well placed we may slip past the safeguards unnoticed! oh to ride through the Wickford among the greenies! Awesome running and Best wishes from the pink lands Paul!
Greetings, Little Rhodie, and hello John 👋 Southern Gentleman and their Ladies 🐈 are travelers of sophistication and style 😇 any aspiring Railroad Co would be honoured to have their patronage 👌 Of course green lizzie 🦎 soup 🍲 would be served in the dining car 😉 Many thanks for visiting Wickford and very best wishes to the Space Cats 🐈 of New England from the Emerald Leprechaun Isle across the ocean ☘️
Lots of passengers on the move, Paul. Maybe they are going on a weekend break to Dylington, with a visit to the custard factory, where they will receive a free sample and money off vouchers in a nice yellow Dylington Custard branded tote bag. After all, they are eager to learn more about the famous Dylington gold now 🙂👍
Greetings Dylington and hello James and Dylan 👋 A HST special to Dylington definitely is an excellent idea 💡 stopping in Somersex 💃 on the way, of course 😇 Hopefully the Piddle Folk will behave themselves 🤞 they do tend to over indulge the buffet on these services 🍎🍻🤭 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Hello Chris 👋 It's been a while since I had some of these out on the track 😳 over three years 🤭 I really should work out a rota 😇 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
What a great looking layout. I'm currently planning one myself and had a couple of questions. What size is the layout and also, how long are the platforms at the stations? That's something I'm really struggling to understand, particularly for HSTs, how long do the platforms need to be!
Hello Rob 👋 Many thanks for visiting Wickford and for the very kind comments 👍 The layout takes up a room 11 feet by 9.5 feet. As for HST's, a mark three coach is 6 inches (15cm) and a power car five inches (13cm). My sets run with 6 or 7 carriages plus the two power cars. The main station platforms are four-foot six inches (140cm). Hopefully, that will help you with your design plans 🤞 Very best wishes from Ireland ☘️
Well Mr Sheedy you obviously been on the sauce again because none of those HST's liveries, as far as I am aware were ever on track together. So which one have you just aquired for your collection? The HSTP by any chance? Good to see some proper trains out for a run in Wickford and not the "other stuff". Definitely needed a forth one out for a run though, but no doubt you couldn't find one ! All the best from Somersex. PS I have had the second injection with a bigger dose and so far I am okay, but a long way to go yet. Just about taught myself to walk again but it is so tiring.
Greetings Somersex and hello Mark 👋 Nothing new here 🤔 although some haven't been out for a run in three years 😳 It was you who told me about the HST-P and how to set up the lighting 😇 There were four HSTs running 👀 your eyesight must be going too 🤭 all that tingling 🚨😱 How is project custard 🍮 going 🤔 I'm looking forward to seeing them on Piddle In The Marsh soon 🤞 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes for health and happiness to all Piddle Folk 💃 from the other Ireland ☘️
@PiddleInTheMarshbyMarkIreland we await the big reveal in eager anticipation 😂. My current project is a church, which is probably too big to go on my layout. So it may have it own diorama eventually. Hopefully, it will be finished tomorrow, so we might post photos on the community page. Someone might find it interesting 🙂👍
Greetings Simon 👋 The Power Station loop is still there, in the wardrobe 🤭 It has been a while since It appeared in action 🤔 I will have to arrange something for the next visit to Wickford 🤞🏻Just ordered some sleeper carriages for Continental Shelf 🤫 so they should feature next 😉 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️

John 😇 did make that sound installation look rather easy 🤔 I would rather spend the cash 💸 on more wagons 😁 or break van's 🤭
