This song is beautiful! I like 'I Want My Innocence Back' and 'Time For Tea', but this song is different from those songs. It's nice to hear Emilie Autumn sing a very soft and warming love song. This is the third or forth song of her's I've listened to, and this is probably my new favorite!
Shakespeare reborn...with a violin. That's what one of my friends says about her. And when I listen to songs of her's like this, I think he may actually be correct.
I don't know why, but this song (and also Rapunzel) make me cry and by the way i miss this Emilie Autumn, of course i like the actual one, but this Emilie has something that cheersme up
Best musuc artist evrr. Go emilie, keep your head up girl! Youve been great so far, i relate to your songs so much! They are me. You are a piece of me!!!
Okay, I have made my acquaintance with Emilie 's music on Sunday & it is Wednesday morning now...has anyone noticed that there is another song , or rather the melody of it, within this song! I am certain I am not the only one noticing this, can I? What cha thinking, gals & guys ?
everything she makes in music is an art :D and art is a bang as diedara would say in naruto however I think art is majestic in form and always painting the colors in any dirrection which is what she does
she has so many facets with which to produce a song. all of them are sosa prettty. i consider myself a writing Lolita -- she is the standard of my measure.
the song you're thinking of is "Liar," actually. but that's pretty much right. She describes the situation as "having a boyfriend who isn't her friend"
@PeekingInTheKeyhole I approve of this comment. :D She really is a talented musician. I thank her for joining TDC; I had never even heard of her until a few months ago! Now, I love her!!! :D
The song yer talking about is Liar;) She's loved and been hurt way too many times. above that she is manic depressive, and has been abused since early childhood. So as you can see it's quite a story she's got! Her book and the opheliac companion explain lots! The song Opheliac she wrote to explain to herself herself. The album was a bribe: She wanted to die and promised herself that she could commit suicide if she still wanted to leave the world when the record was done. (luckily she didn't!)
I heard somewhere that 'Opheliac' - or the chorus at least - were words that an obsessive ex used to say to her, actually. I know she identifies as being asexual, and that the previous relationships she had did not turn out all too well. But I guess it proves that you don't need a relationship to be happy, at least.
@BoyWithBlackWings07 Well, 55, but I totally get you; I asked my self the same thing! From what I've read on the website, it's supposed to be done in "episodes". I'm guessing, like, how Star Wars is a movie but it's "episodes 4-6". Not entirely sure, but it's probably short for a good reason. :)
Good point. Maybe she has loved people but couldn't hold the relationships down. That is what Opheliac seems to imply. That she gets obsessive and that. That is so sad, but yeah she seems to be happy.
Alas, this song came before 'Gothic Lolita', but it would be lovely to see Emilie in a relationship if that's what made her happy -- mind you, she seems perfectly happy the way she is.
"Be the sunlight in my every day" Is this the woman who claims to be unable to love "even if my pretty life depended on it?" I think she is cured of her illness. :')
No she was thirteen but a couple weeks later she would have been fourteen. In the play when her father was discussing with that Paris guy that she wasn't even fourteen yet, so she was thirteen.
at some point of their lives. 3. As I said, asexual is a person who don't have sex with other people for his/her own pleasure. This doesn't mean that they wouldn't be able to have sex (unless you are a male and just can't get it up, but there are nice little blue pills for that...). So, it's most likely possible that they might agree to have sex to please his/her partner or something, they just don't enjoy from it (and that's why it's a bit mean from a partner to ask for it).
They can enjoy it for a romantic reason but not for a sexual reason. I apologize for not being clearer about it. but you still basically said what I know. good day. ^_^
Also not every asexual person is opposed to sex. They just don't feel attraction, but some may still have (and even enjoy) sex with their partner for other reasons.
I thought she couldn't have relationships cus she had been abused, that's what Gothic Lolita and Opheliac always made me think. Oh well I hope that she is happy and it is just a choice thing.
God, this is just such beautiful music. I've loved her for years, and I never get tired of listening to her.
Ah, I love this song! This was actually the very first Emilie Autumn song I ever heard.
I fell in love with her music from the very start.
I showed this in my English class, and I got an "A" on my project. That's the power of Emilie's stunning voice. :D
This song is beautiful!

my ex introduced me to Emile Autunn, and after hearing this song.......I think I'm in Love *sigh in awe*
there is no end to my love for her songs :)
So beautiful that makes me wanna cry :) just awesome
Because someone had to be, but I don't think the other one would be *that* perfect :)
I don't know why, but this song (and also Rapunzel) make me cry and by the way i miss this Emilie Autumn, of course i like the actual one, but this Emilie has something that cheersme up
Literally same - just something about them, Marry Me is another tear-jerker of mine

the song you're thinking of is "Liar," actually. but that's pretty much right. She describes the situation as "having a boyfriend who isn't her friend"
Violin when played so well and delicately is an extremely amazing instrument.
Love it so much :)
She is so talented!
This will always be my favorite song by Emilie
she's so perfect, her music is pure magic * - *
Ah, the original version of this song.
@PeekingInTheKeyhole I approve of this comment. :D She really is a talented musician. I thank her for joining TDC; I had never even heard of her until a few months ago! Now, I love her!!! :D

i dislike that i can't ever make anything quite so beautiful :c
~I swear she better be the next disney princess!!!~

Lovely!
Love it!
Do I detect 'Greensleeves' at around the 5 min mark? That is epic!
Alas, this song came before 'Gothic Lolita', but it would be lovely to see Emilie in a relationship if that's what made her happy -- mind you, she seems perfectly happy the way she is.
@BlackGothicLace You should have got an A for your report not for her voice! It is lovely tho. :) Well done.
Unpopular opinion: This should have been a single with this as the radio version, and the acoustic as the album version.
mi inspiración :')
ì can't stop listening
2018 e ainda escuto a fada das fadas
Beautiful ♡
aw yeah this is my jam
@TheCandymusiclover Why is it only 45 minutes grrrr?
A bit like Solveig's Song, by Edward Grieg...but beautiful, Emilie forever ^,,^

"Be the sunlight in my every day"
Is this the woman who claims to be unable to love "even if my pretty life depended on it?"

Juliet Olde English Remix--Emilie Autumn
Find this and be happy :)
It was Juliet's cousin who tried to kill them.
And Capulet, the father, who threatened to kick Juliet out.
The Capulet's were far douchier.
Welcome!
Your Mind = Blown.
Nenfa96: it's both. The tune is hauntingly beautiful, so they reused it a few times. It's greensleeves and what child is this
@TheGothicFudgebunny Me too! Epic name btw
No she was thirteen but a couple weeks later she would have been fourteen.
In the play when her father was discussing with that Paris guy that she wasn't even fourteen yet, so she was thirteen.

It isn't a Christmas song! The name of the song is Greensleeves! :)
I know she uses the violin and the harpischord, but I think it's the violin she uses in this song!
Can anyone tell me what instruments are used in the intro? Would be really appreciated!
Indeed :)
How can anyone dislike this? ;_;
They can enjoy it for a romantic reason but not for a sexual reason. I apologize for not being clearer about it. but you still basically said what I know. good day. ^_^
You got it.
Love Your username
they probably thought it was "down" as in download.
Best song
Okay. Thanks for information. :)
I'm trying to find the version where it doesn't have the dancy part in the background. Does anyone have it?
The old english remix?
i think it's greensleeves but play faster
yay! a girl to girl love song! makes me so happy!
At 4:47 it sounds like part of a Christmas song. :p
What? It's like... Goth pop... I love it, but just what? It's so interesting and eccentric.
What is the melody at 4:46 ?? Its driving me crazy that I cant remember what it is. X.x
mysteriouswolven Purple sleeves
@TheCandymusiclover Yay! :)

Damn those Montague's...

IKR!!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely song and lyric video. One critique...spell check!
Also not every asexual person is opposed to sex. They just don't feel attraction, but some may still have (and even enjoy) sex with their partner for other reasons.
12 dislikes......Romeo's family....
//*shot
Let's hope you're right! :)
Awesome song, but the music is a little too loud for the vocals - I can barely hear what she's saying :( Really love it though, Emilie Autumn FTW!
i believe HamsterHelper101 is referring to the face you did on the top comment
I thought she couldn't have relationships cus she had been abused, that's what Gothic Lolita and Opheliac always made me think. Oh well I hope that she is happy and it is just a choice thing.
More like Juliet's. ;)
@unce. OUT. NOW.
