Last week at a restaurant my son and I tasted Georgian food for our very first time. Lobio. We went crazy. So I searched the net and chose your presentation to try at home.
I was able to follow your recipe 100%! I can report that you have managed to teach by both your words and your video a 1st-timer how to make the perfect lobio. It was so very delicious that my son said, "This is even better than what we had at the restaurant."

Sounds like a delicious recipe. The name is interesting too, does Lobio refer to the beans or to the dish as a whole?
Because if lobio refers to the beans, then I guess Kurds and Georgians have something in common because we also call a special type of beans as lobia

Lobio actually just means "beans" in Georgian - so interesting the similarities between languages!

At home we don't use walnuts, but everything else (along with some peppers) is in adjika so we use that instead, and no pomegranate juice

Lobio simply means "beans" in Georgian and there are lots of different iterations of the dish throughout the country. Bean Imeretian would just be a lobio from the Imereti region :)
