this show is a MASTERPIECE. definitely definitely continue watching its gonna blow you away. the acting, storyline, chemistry..everything down to the the color grading and how its shot is amazing. the 3rd and final season comes maybe end of the year or next year and we're super excited but devasted that its the last seasom. but its going to be perfect ending for sure.
This show is so underrated. I've had issues watching shows for the past few years bcs I get bored, but Young Royals really hooked me instantly, and I binged watched both seasons in 1 night, i didn't sleep at all I was obsessed. Willhem is my favorite character, I relate to him the most, he's got such bad anxiety I just want to wrap him in a blanket and tell him it's gonna be okay.
Lol, Wilhelm is indeed very humble, he wasn't necessary complaining about the room size he was staying in, more so the environment. The reason as to why he hasn't been attending a boarding school from the beginning is because he just wanted to live a normal life, amongst normal people, which in the eyes of those on a similar "authority/financial status" as him, is seen as naivety because there is no reason these two "classes" can co-exist, which is just utter b.s but it's the reality of it after all. So yeah, he didn't want to be in such a claustrophobic environment filled with all this hierarchy, it kinda makes him a bit more concious of his reality, being a prince. You'll see in further episodes what exactly his views are within regards to this lifestyle whilst not ignoring his privileges. The series tackles alot of topics so please do keep an open mind and yeah, I'm sure you'll enjoy. Hopefully I explained that well enough.
So glad you said this! every time they joked about Wille being so privileged and upset by the room etc I was like no!!! it's more so that he's being shunted into the role of privilege when all he wants is to be normal and free.

I think people misunderstand the Prince in this first episode, he doesn't really care about being a Prince and hes not entitled, the reason he doesn't want to be there is because he has major anxiety problems which has been hinted at all through this episode by his nail biting, hand rubbing, heavy breathing and looking like he wanted to undo his shirt more and by how hes so uncomfortable meeting all these new people
