One of my favourite parts of this song is how Akane plays the first half of the chorus the same, but resolves them differently each time. So fun to listen to. Thanks, Wave!
Japanese people loved QUEEN and this song is the tribute to the movie "bohemian rhapsody" We were allowed crapping hands cheering stepping only in this screening thumbnail of this song is also the tribute to the thumbnail of the movie Last shot is MIKU pretending Freddie Mercury wearing Ray Ban
The instrumental parts of this song,, espechially the begining but, indeed all throughout, make me think of a Barbershop Quartet as each instrument lends its voice to the mix. Then as the song progresses the space left for each to perform an individual phrase is given. Being a fan of these five women and their extraordinary talent and chemistry together is intoxicating. Pick a genre, a tempo, light, heavy, vocally rich or instrumentally complex, there's a Band Maid song to suit. Thanks Wave for your excellent commentary.
After reacting to this song during a live stream you tried watching the Bohemian Rhapsody trailer for the references and the stream got taken down because of it.
One of my favorite songs from them. Just so cool and LOADED with undertones and everyone busy but in a very cohesive way. Live they are life-changing. I've been front row between MISA and Miku 4 times now and they are some of my best concert memories in 35 years of going to shows (I'm 50).
I just realized (one of the things about a good reactor being that by pointing out stuff they also make you notice stuff on your own) that you can definitely hear the bridge as Saiki's spoken-word part actually being the background for Akane's toms. We tend to think of A-chan as the complex speed demon, but here and also notably in "Manners" she does these slowed-down, simple fills but pulls every possible bit of musicality and feel out of them, I think by dropping ever so slightly behind the beat (which may itself be slowing down).
Thanks a lot for your unfailing presense together with me at this OKYUJI! 🤘 You have probably noticed how I tried to stick my phone closer to the left side, to see MISA and Miku behind the pillar. I tilted the phone on a selfie stick, and then was waving this stick in between the headlights, to see if I can catch MISA in the frame. Damn, it seemed like she was actually hiding from me! 🥺 The sound was much worse at the moment, also. Away from the speaker, with the phone somewhere close to the ceiling, amidst the lights... It's interesting that I was never a fan of Bubble. Too funky for me, probably. I actually appreciated it only when I heard it in Paris, where MISA ruled in my corner. Yes, it's only drum&bass there, but what a wonderful drum and what an amazing bass!
Good job Wave. This song is very interesting from a songwriting perspective. I knew you would love it. And kudos to your Dicodec interview!. Very funny.
Ryan Mear is famous for listening to Kanami's solo and saying "Shut up! Kanami is speaking!", but according to this video, Kanami's guitar during the bubble said, "oh oh oh won"!!
That was a cool analysis/reaction.... My favourite B-M song. Actually Bubble and Choose Me are both my favourite, yet both are quite simple compared to a lot of their other material. They both have such a cool vibe. And Kanami...... such a great songwriter. Thanx
The Band-Maid "bubble" is expanding across the land... and that's a good thing because, other than their incredible music, to me they represent decency and joy -- things the world can always use more of. Thx, Wave!
The Champ of Medium just gave you and Dicodec some free advertising in his latest reaction to Corallium, for your mention of him. Check it out. Love this song BTW.
This was the opening theme song of the live action TV show "Perfect Crime". Yes, this is the same concert as Kanami goes wild. I think it was the last concert of the last European tour in a little club in Hamburg.
Yes, the last OKYJI in Europa, as Miku put it. But I hope the history is not over yet, and we'll have many more of their OKYUJIs in Europe and elsewhere.
And yeah they seemed eerily familiar, but it took a while for me to figure out the "Bohemian Rhapsody" refs - which were about as plain as day! I loved this song from the get-go. I think this was a little too jazzy or something for the tastes of some of our fellow Maidiacs...? When, not if they come back to the US: One way or the other, you better get your *** to that show! And please bring Rosie - need more princesses at these shows!

2:27 "korean - auto generated" It's funny. I always thought this part sounded like Korean. Of course it's just a Miku's mix of Japanese and English words hard to understand by ear.

@@VladimirChupin You like "Start Over"? Oh it's really interesting. I like it too but I was thinking hardcore Band-Maid fans generally don't like that song very much because it's too "poppy." Yes, the camera was shaky as hell in Hamburg. It was because I was right in front of Akane, and her bass drum was sending the blast waves right into my face. Overall, my Huawei P20 Pro is pretty good at stabilizing the image, but it was overpowered by Gorilla's beating. The sound, though, is pretty good. I even listen to it as audio-only from time to time. I was providing that link everywhere, to download it from the cloud. Toyoyasu Sugiyama-san has cleared it from all the breaks, where you can hear only the crowd noise and us speaking in Russian in this corner, and then Bartosz Glowacki designed beautiful inlays, as if it's a real CD.
