- Londoners travelling to South Korea and documenting our journey 🇬🇧🇰🇷 we are still getting used to being in a new environment, with different cultures and landscapes ⛰️
In this vlog, we go to church for the first time whilst in Korea ⛪️ we visited Saving Grace Church in Gangnam 🖤 we had fellowship over food before and after church and really liked everyone who we met. They were all so friendly and we felt like we were already a part of the family 🥰
One of the people we went to lunch with was Zero who is a Christian artist, you can check his music out here: / @zero_shamayim
We also visited Myeongdong and tried different food which was all 맛있어
Skin 1004 flagship store was so pretty 😍 and we got a lot of skincare products from there as well as Olive Young, TemTem and Daiso. Also, we visited A Twosome Place which I have seen in different K Dramas
Loving Korea so far !! Vlog 3 will be out soon so please subscribe to see it 🖤 thank you for all the love and comments on the last vlog !! God bless you all 🙏🏽
It's really great that you didn't miss Sunday service even while traveling. This video can be nice info for English speaking people looking for a good Christian community in Korea. Plz, keep enjoying your time there.

You have a good Korean pronunciation. You have the potential of a language genius. 🥰
Really? This comment has made me really happy 😊 I would like to learn more Korean so I’m glad at least the pronunciation is not to bad haha hopefully I can learn some Korean phrases soon, I need to make time to study. Thank you for your comment and the compliment 🖤

Public transportation in Korea is very good and inexpensive as it is subsidized by the government. Enjoy it.
Ohh I didn’t know that! It was very affordable to get around

Kinda addcited to the way you pronunce ‘church’ as ‘shurshe’ keep replaying that😂
Hahaha that is so funny 😂 I don’t even know why we said it like that 😂 we’re so random
It's a good thing you didn't see the "truck of doom". 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 honestly !! That’s so funny haha
I think I saw you in the stadium of FC Seoul on Wednesday right?
Oh no that wasn’t me haha I’m not even sure where the stadium is
I visited London in 1987. Nice to see you guys. Sillim where you stayed is the area where I lived for 30 years. I haven't been to Sillim in the last 10 years, and through your video, I saw that the place has changed a bit. Typhoons and heavy rain are not good for walks in Korea, but if you get a Korean boyfriend, that idiot will try to take the opportunity to kiss you in a cafe or a street bar called a 'pojangmacha' on hard rainy days. However, I am an old generation, I don't Know so the culture of young people these days may have changed. Hahaha~
Oh wow you came to London before I was born haha maybe you can visit again, it has changed a lot over the years. We really enjoyed Sillim, maybe you can also go back to visit since you haven’t been in such a long time. I plan to stay indoors when there is heavy rain so I would avoid all of that haha but thanks for the tip! Thank you for watching and commenting on the video 🖤
@@shahinda_ If I visit UK again, I want to visit Liverpool, Scottland and 'Scarborough Fair'. Scarborough Fair is a song by Simon and Garfunkel. I also want to visit Ireland, which has a bad relationship with the UK. In 1987 I was 29 years old. Since then, I have been to Europe several times, but that was my first and last time visiting London. I took a walk near the hotel where I stayed. It was around 9pm, the streets were dark and there weren't many stores open, so it was a little strange. At that time, I hung out with my friends every night from 1 to 2 in Sillim and returned home at the crack of dawn on the weekends. You may think that many Koreans lead debauched lives. Haha~ From your other videos, I found out that you are a devout Christian. What do Londoners spend their long nights doing? Anyway, I'm disappointed that your plan "avoid a rainy day." You have to experience how romantic the sound of haevy rain is in Korea. lol~~
I’d like to visit Scotland too; the landscapes look very beautiful so it’s definitely on my list of places to visit in the next year or so. Things are open until much later now, depending on the area you are in. Thursdays-Saturdays things are usually open until quite late. In the evenings I’m usually at home with my family but I’m sure a lot of people are outside doing different activities. I don’t think Koreans live debauched lives haha I think they live far more decently than what I see in London. We did experience a couple of rainy days in Korea, there’s going to be a clip of it in my 3rd vlog. I’m okay with the rain when I’m inside and looking through the window, but having to walk through it is a bit much 😅 especially because of my hair. When my hair isn’t in braids, the rain isn’t good for my natural hair (Afro hair) it ruins it so I’d rather not be out in the rain haha. But you’re right about the sound, the sound of rain is soothing 😌
why south koreans think they do plaits on their own?
Some people can actually braid their own hair, but me and my friend definitely got ours done professionally 😅 we aren’t that skilled 😂
@@sugakookie8486 blame South Korea for lack of service 🤣
@@sugakookie8486oh really, so how do they braid their hair? Do they do it themselves?
Great vlog Shahinda, I feel like I was there with you ❤
Awww I’m glad you felt like you were there too 🖤
1:12 As a Korean, Korean bus drivers are different from other countries, they are always ready to fight with their passengers😂
Never mind if they don't say welcome. But if you bow or say hello when you get on, they'll answer, too. Bus drivers who say thank you first are a only few extroverts
Oh really 😂😂 thankfully none were rude or unhelpful to us. I meant that I watched a vlog and I saw one of the buses say “thank you” when you tap your card, like the actual card machine but not the bus driver haha I wouldn’t expect them to say thank you
감사합니다 🖤 we wanted to try Korean fashion because your fashion is amazing !
We felt very welcome in Korea 🖤 everyone was really nice. We hope to come back again soon 🙏🏽
까불이 안녕^^^hat girl
I’m not sure what this comment means but thanks for watching the video 🙏🏽
@shahinda_ It says 'Hi, perky :)' hat girl part is confusing though. 까불이 stands for two opposite means like many other words, one is 'lively, bright, cheerful' the other is 'annoying, noisy'. He doesn't know you, so there's no point he takes you as annoying one. I sometimes call my friends and nieces 까불이' when they're so excited or when I wanna show my affection. Since ur vid is full of good energy I'm sure he wanted to say 'Hi, sunshine.' BTW I love ur vlog. It's so hot these days, tcare of u n have a good trip.'😊
@@내말이thank you for taking the time to explain everything 🖤 I appreciate it ! I will choose to think the person is saying the positive meaning ☺️ thank you for watching the video !
