Full album "It's About Time" by Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics on the streets September 4, 2012.
The first official video for the band was a labor of love from the bandmates themselves, as they took a week off from recording the debut album "It's About Time," to produce, film and direct the video for the single "My Dear," completely DIY and on a limited budget. The video is nostalgically lo-fi yet classy, serving as a showcase of the band and was filmed right in their own studio in Little 5 Points Atlanta. The single "My Dear" shares a message for people to reach within themselves and "bring light to the dark," so this interpretation can be seen throughout.

Yeah I stumbled across Ruby bellasophonics by accident and I'll tell you what this girl's voice is mesmerizing and I just love to listen to her all the time I love that song if you're looking for a better thing and everything else she does you go girl.

Having lived through the fifties and early sixties I very well remember the Shangrilas, Dixie Cups, Mary Wells, etc. Amy Winehouse was interesting as a revivalist of sorts. Ruby Belle is her own person though conjuring up the feeling of that era she does it in a very honest and soulful way. Well done Ruby. MiamiTP

For those who are saying that this band is copying Amy, which is not the case at all, please listen to Sharon Jones, the one who Amy admired and followed, including using Sharon's band The Dap-Kings to record her albums. Sharon is alive and kicking, listen to her too!. (It seems to me that because Sharon is not a scandalous girl as Amy was, she is not getting enough attention, but her music deserves big time our listening).

Speaking as a person who was deeply moved by Amy Winehouse and her music, I wouldnt want to listen to this artist for at least 5 years, because this artist would push her out of the way. 5yrs from now this artist will be telling people "I was heavily influenced by A.W. but now I have my own identity". Why cheat us by denying the obvious, give Amy Winehouse the respect and credit she deserves.
