When I first read through I honestly didn’t like the idea of the gameplay boosts at all in the seasonal pass system. However after hearing your 2 cents on it, it will allow you to reroll your character and get through the story faster. So all in all I’m happy with what’s been said today.
Appreciate the insight and breakdown of the lengthy update. Actually makes me even more excited for the release of D4. Do you think they'll be able to live up to tyhe hype though at this point of all the information release or do you think once we get into the game and get into the nitty gritty that we'll be left wanting?
So it's £60 to buy the game then pay £150 per year for battle pass for another 8 years to keep up. So basically £1000 to pay D4 and see everything! Ohh and I forgot expansions which will be around £19:99 each time they come out! Looking pretty sketchy blizzard looking like a an expensive game to play!!
I've spent a ton on mobile games, loot boxes etc,. I don't mind spending money if I feel it's worth and everyone knows that the true end game in MMO's is fashion.

I like the start over thing for people that skip a season or 2 to an extent. Newer seasons should honestly give you the choice to go through the leveling process or start a max level character with no gear and begin the season. It just feels like a chore if you have to level through the same content you've done over and over for a lot of people. What I hate is all the fun bells and whistles will be season locked, you don't get to do that stuff with a character you have previously played and may have really enjoyed, or have some attachment to. I feel you on this one. It wouldn't be so bad if they decoupled the "free" path and the paid path (would be nice if you were prompted to return to an NPC for a reward when completing a season journey objective through in game mechanics, and not just an overlay popup menu where you instantly access the rewards too), like you had to actively go looking for the paid path yourself, but we all know the psychological manipulation at this point, and they aren't going to do that. Season pass with xp boosts and more magic find most likely will be a thing and NOT paying for power just paying for the faster progression just like Call of Duty does....
