In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. John Harington invented the flushable toilet. Thomas Crapper was a plumber, but had nothing to do with the invention.

Mike, Love your videos and commentary throughout! I used to do LED retrofits of lighting fixtures and we'd end up with so many hundreds of those ballasts on each job we did. The boss just took them and threw them in a dumpster usually. We only kept the High-bay ballasts to break down and scrap out the internal components.

Ha! Mike usually has to go home and cook a meal, clean up, do various chores around the house, take care of 2 senior pups, edit videos and go to his "real" full time job, and if you've never waited tables, there's far more than meets the eye, and it's usually run your tush off your entire shift (IF you're really good, and I have no doubt that Mike IS). So enjoy your nap! LMAO 🤣

The thing's I like the most are tool's!😁 yesterday I found a cement mixer and wheelbarrow in a dumpster- rang the doorbell and asked if they were tossing it out , they said yes and I asked if I could take em they said sure go ahead, do you take refrigerators? I said of course I'll take that too! I do rockwalls and sidewalks and general landscaping as a living as well as welding and roofing! Been mixing by hand for year's! Now I'm the proud owner of a 400 dollar mixer that I can use to make much more money👍 and it didn't cost me a dime more than my time and energy to load it onto my truck!😁👍 half my garage is full of tool's other people just tossed out when they were done with them! It just amazes me how little value people hold in anything anymore! But hey- I'll take anything I can find and use! And if it helps make more- well that's what I call a win win right there!

It blows my mind how some people just don't value items, tools included. I haven't bought a lawnmower in 30 years, bandsaw, table saw, toolboxes and so much more. I get that it's just stuff, but Holy moly to replace these things takes one's hard earned money. These are people that never had to go without I guess. My rants done,lol. ✌️

I had a idea maybe you could have a contest your fans could ask you to pickup lumber one night and try to sell and pallets another night . I really injoy you’re chanel every day. I got a t shirt for Christmas.
The first open top, why not go digging,! Then the open top next one should move lumber to one side get it all, then move lumber to next side and get it all! You hardly go to the bottom when dumperst diving, but I still watch them all, I enjoy your entertainment !

The usual answer is that it’s tedious, you need so many, and they’re often just nasty as hell. 🤢
Full of backwash, cigarette butts, etc. The scrapyard wants them to be clean and dry.
As a dedicated recycler it used to bother me too. But my cans are rinsed and clean. I’ve seen lots of scrappers grab bags of clean aluminum cans if folks set them on the curb.

The guy that invented the toilet was named crapper,the guy who invented the bra was named Titsling but mr Brasier put the patent on it first.
Sorry to tell you bro Thomas Crapper did not invent the toilet. He did however hold 9 patents for the component's in the water closet pre modern toilets. (the flush toilet) the one part everyone would recognize is the floating ballcock. Might want to consider a mask in the dumpsters. I always see a ton of crap flying around you in the air. Just my observation.
Oh dear Mike, 😲 the dumpsters won 😢 you damaged your shin yet again!🩸🤦🏼♀️. You have very little 'meat' on your shins to protect them from damage. There is only so many times that your body can mend its self, so please be careful 😢. Long pants or shin guards would go some way to protecting your legs from injury 🩹🩺🩸💉🪚

Man I love watching your videos cuz you find all kinds of cool stuff. I do a little dumpster diving off and on but I usually don't have much time but it's pretty enjoyable and it pays so it's a kind of cool hobby to have. I found a dewalt impact driver about a week ago that works perfectly 😁
