It’s so sad that Nintendo minute just ended so abruptly, it’s going to suck without those guys
Honestly I very much dislike them, they were nothing compared to Gary and Allison, Gary and Allison seemed like a couple, even if they weren't where Kit and Krysta clearly disliked each other. G and A worked well together and did great skits, K and K felt like corporate shills. I guess I just don't like them because they replaced Gary and Allison and it was a major downgrade.
@@ATerminalJunkie I got a vastly different impression from Kit and Krysta than you. To me, they seemed like good friends who liked to tease each other, as good friends often do. I doubt they would have worked together on this show for as long as they did if they hated each other, as you asserted. Of course, if you preferred Nintendo Week to Nintendo Minute, I can see how you would be predisposed to have a negative view of these hosts. Personally, I liked both shows, but I preferred the laid back presentation style of Kit and Krysta. Of course, at the end of the day, these hosts are Nintendo employees. It may come across as corporate shilling to you, but they are paid to promote video games on the Switch.
@@purplemist7 they put up with each other because it was their job, and they got paid well. There was clear evidence they didn't like each other, just watch this montage. Also a corporate shill does exactly what you said they did, which is selling games and it was more evident than ever they were shilling, thats not an opinion and you even agree. You lowered your expectations for them. I expect more from Nintendo.

You doubted their authenticity but keep in mind, Gary and Allison of Nintendo Week were also paid to promote Nintendo games, so wouldn't that also make them corporate shills by your own standards?
Regarding their relationship, they actually just started a new podcast together after they both recently left Nintendo. I think that puts the nail in the coffin regarding speculation that they hated each other. The first episode is out if you're at all interested. "Kit and Krysta" is the channel's name, sans the Nintendo filter.

@@gavout1511 Ok funny story here, so if you guys didn't know Nintendo did a thing where you can see your top Switch games for the year and the play time (might've been mentioned in the video but I didn't watch it 7fvoig) Anyway, my top games where Splatoon 2 and SMTV and I had 71 hours in SMTV and like 78 in Splatoon 2. Within like 2ish months I got almost the same amount of play time as I game I've played all year.

Monster Hunter Rise is my number 1 pick for this year, but Metroid Dread was amazing as well, and I'm also still loving Brilliant Diamond.

Basically Metroid Dread for almost every category.
Happy to see New Pokemon Snap win some category, especially after the Game Awards. Definitely my game of the year, I put over 100 hours into it, been wanting a sequel to the original forever. I am also very curious what game got 2nd to Metroid for game of the year.

It would be great if Nintendo also added the Zelda HD games (Twilight Princess and Wind Waker) and the 3ds games (Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask) on the Nintendo Switch Console.
Hopefully in a Super Mario 3d All Stars way. Because I'm not paying $60 for an emulator for one game.

It really has been a brilliant year of Nintendo ngl! So many games brought to the platter this year, new games, remakes, indie games, thank you for ano amazing year...I am pretty bias, it was nice to hear Pokemon games pop up a lot, I truly agree Pokemon Snap being the winner of 'Sooo Relaxing', it was an extremely beautiful game, especially wearing headphones I felt like I was in the world of Pokemon. My game of the year though is a very close tie between Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokémon Unite, BDSP has such an amazing and thrilling story that I could just not get bored of despite the originals being 15 years old, and Pokémon Unite has been so immersive, I said when it came up in the Pokémon Direct that I'd only play a few games and get bored, and besides Pokémon Sword & Shield, it was my 2nd most played game of the year, I like how well it is maintained by the producers and often bringing in new content to keep it going, it's a very healthy free multiplayer game, MOBA. No shade of course on the other games from the year but I've always been immersed in the Pokémon Franchise

I'm happy Mario Party Superstars won Merry Multiplayer! It deserved that title because it has a well-balanced set of minigames from Mario Party 1-10 and improves what Mario Party: Top 100 failed to do.
I'm so sad cuz n.m. is no more...I hope it will come back....My Saturday will not be the same again cuz I won't see Kit & Krysta...They are very good hosts for Nintendo...they represented the company very well...😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I don't know, but Doom Eternal I think it qualify as an Intense Action game and Crysis Trilogy or Ninja Gaiden Remastered should contest the Great graphics game, I don't totally agree with the nominees, but whatever
Doom Eternal was released last year. I played it this year, though. For that reason, it's a contender for my game of the year too.

Nintendo, next year should be the perfect year to finally bring back "Golden Sun" with a remake of Golden Sun 1 & 2 for the Switch and using the HD-2D engine like Octopath Traveler. Let Team Asano work on Golden Sun. You know us fans want a brand new Golden Sun. Also, since there are many great JRPGs on Switch, it may be time to talk to Square Enix about making a "Super Mario RPG 2" for Switch or an exclusive mainline Final Fantasy game. Metroid Dread was one of the biggest surprises of 2021 and was the best Metroid game ever and MercurySteam did an amazing job developing it. This long rumored game became a reality and was a massive success. It would be the right choice for Nintendo to acquire MercurySteam and let them make new 2D Metroid games going forward. Who knows, maybe even let them remake Metroid Fusion in the same vein as Dread. Mario Golf Super Rush was a good game, but can you please look towards making a Mario Basketball and/or Mario Football (Not Soccer) game next. Give the tennis and golf games a break for now. Shin Megami Tensei 5 and Bravely Default 2 were both amazing games and Monster Hunter Rise was a juggernaut success worldwide especially in Japan. 2021 was a great year for Nintendo and the Switch especially since it continue selling worldwide, but 2022 could be even better with many big announcements and what ever new surprises we could see next. However, since we are now getting to the 6th year of the Switch and while sales are still increasing, all that money Nintendo is making should go towards making more bigger games, outsourcing 3rd party developers and acquiring more studios, and to make a more powerful Switch hybrid console to keep the momentum going.
Great job with 2021 Nintendo and good luck in 2022.
