SC cancels domicile quota for PG under NEET. Is this move being welcomed by medical fraternity?

On January 29, the Supreme Court struck down the domicile quota for postgraduate (PG) courses under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The court ruled that the domicile reservation is unconstitutional as it violates Article 14 of the Constitution.
Ruling on a batch of petitions regarding admissions at Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, a three-judge bench comprising Justices Hrishikesh Roy, Sudhanshu Dhulia, and SVN Bhatticourt invalidated the domicile quota.

States invested hefty money in medical college infra and fund them every year from state tax base and you want people from other states to enjoy our money?
50 percent seats is already given to All India quota wasn't that enough? They will learn from here and go to their respective states what is the use for our state?

Exactly!!! State gov built those colleges with state fund. Not by central government Already they have 50% all india quota..they can compete in that quota. .why state quota??now the remaining 50% state quota also gets filled up by those from other states and they will study through the tax that we paid to gain benefits from our state....honestly because of backward states the ones who worked hard have to suffer. Bullshit
