I really wanted to hear Motorhead on the violin to pull the ace of spades
+fudrock dude i thought the same
Yeah, that was most disappointing thing about that show. :D
+fudrock ...and of course now...RIP Lemmy.
fudrock exactly my thought.!
Haha me too
Fooled me! I'm really enjoying this show, it's very unique in that's it's so positive no matter what the outcome. Unlike talent shows which are degrading to people, Penn + Teller are always very positive and encouraging no matter if they know how it's done or not, and that just makes the show that much more enjoyable to watch!
TIL youtubers watch youtube
TIL Redditors comment on youtube
That's because Penn and Teller judging other magicians is only a hook not the premise of the show which is to invite the best magicians to perform the best tricks for the whole world to see. Winning the trophy is really just a cherry on the top.
Well said matt
WHERE did the violin go?!?!?
Wow a video on youtube with HD in the title that is actually HD!? That definitely fooled me!
That was flawless.
This man is a wizard.
Hope you feel better.
You may not have fooled them, but that was an awesome performance for the rest of us. The juxtaposition of classical music and illusion, I like it, almost an homage to the great early magicians.
+Jason Flay Thank you!
I was hoping that he would pull out a guitar and start rocking to 'ace of spades' by Motörhead lol
Nik Essa had the same thought
Playing "Ace of Spades" on a violin would have been the greatest trick of all.
It's the only card I need \m/
One of my favorite performances ever on this show!
Thank you!
Watched this version of the show again and i stand by what i saw and again i can say, very well done Chris. Thanks for sharing,
Excellent articulation and professionalism! It is a perfect marriage to your performance arts.
This was one of the most memorable and elegant routines I've ever seen on Penn and Teller. I absolutely love it! Never stop doing this routine!
Thank you! That's why I wanted to do this bit on their show.
His voice is so deep, lovely. 👌
You know a trick is amazing when a audience reacts with "Whoooaa"
Thx!
Mr. Funk I don't care that you didn't fool P & T bc your illusion and your entire performance was just so wonderful. Thanks so much for creating so much joy :-).
This is perfect, I've been watching a lot of the new season (3) and it all feels the same. I can't believe I missed this from last season. Beautiful.
This was very entertaining!
Felt really sad about your injury though, hope you get better.
+Pucadupr Thank You! Feeling much better now thanks.
+Chris Funk awesome!
+Cracksafe Thank You
you've got a lovely stage presence
Just watched it again. GREAT!
Thanks James!!!! Hope you're keeping well! Let's do a stream together in the new year!
Love this dudes creations, great effects and well shot videos
Nice enough presentation to make three intermediate tricks/gimmicks into a nice presentation.
Fantastic performance Chris!
Do not ever wish this man luck, before a show, by saying "break a leg".
I believe your humorous way of combining everything together, it the best part in your act. Absolutely
He kinda looks like the guy from DudePerfect
OMG
Duca Moris I literally wrote that and then saw that u had already done it
coby
i just went to the comment section to say that
the tall one
Cody Jones from Dude Perfect. Yeah, I thought the same thing.
Likeable guy, great voice, and good confidence. If he ups the complexion of the tricks, I have no doubt he can get very far in the business.
+Victor Kyrg Thanks a ton!
He’s not doing so bad for himself now
Amazing performance! You are very talented.
great performance Chris
+Chris Funk. you are a fantastic idea can't stop watching this and my little boy loves watching your magic tricks
OMG !!!! This was the most amazing act I ever seen. Well done 👍👍😱
I love how well you performed this. Even though I'm no magician, I'm usually able to see how routines on this show are performed. Though I have my guesses, yours is one of only a handful that I can't actually see through. I hope you'll continue to get better and that I'll get to see you live one day.
I really miss this show. was some amazing entertainment. It wasn't like "American Idol" or any of the billions of copy shows. It was always the best of the best magicians in the world going against Penn and Teller. No such thing as a bad act on this show, just whether they got the FU or not.
Penn and Teller are just awesome. between their own act (which I saw in vegas a few times), the show bullsh*it, and this show...... i can't believe they never seem to last on television, yet considering that even the top magiciansin the world worship them, for good reason, god just love them. 40 years in the biz and still top of the charts of magicians. Beautiful thing about them is that they encourage the newcomers to expand on magic (classical and also shock) rather than copy anything.
And Chris Funk's performance was a+++, just another reason why this show should have lasted more than 2 years...... no such thing as a bad "act' on this show, no simon cowell saying "you suck". just people going wow that's awesome (even us amature magicians that know a lot of these tricks still admired how smoothly these people pulled it off even if we knew what they did).
Thanks for the compliment! Glad you enjoyed my 'bit'.
i think the 3rd season starts this month
I realize this comment is old, but it recently came back ^_^
Absolutely amazing mate
+cj m Thank You!
Magic and music is both a work of art.
You're a great magician, brilliant stage presence too!!!
Thank you!
That was really smart, entertaining and well performed. Bravo Chris.
Ive watched a lot of magicians on the show but this is probably the most impressed I have ever been with a routine
amazing performance Chris funk
+Monish Kyman Thank You!
This was -- and this is NOT a word I use a lot -- enchanting. Genuinely. Beautiful work. Nicely done! :)
LOVEEE THIS ACT AND THIS GUY! :))))
Blessings all the way from Monterrey, Mx!
4:29 All that Bach joke, i'm playing it over and over again, still laughing my ass off !!
Amazing performance!
I'm in love with magic what a great proformance
Hey man, an awesome show, wonderful tricks. It was also very refreshing to see the magic combined with an actual music performance, even if it took only a couple of seconds. Loved it!
Thanks!
love your magic ...
Music was epic...
Thank you for the entertainment 😊
He is good but notice that the 3 people told him their names. Shaun, Tina and Lexi. But when they put their cards back in the deck, He called Lexi ...Lisa
Genius but smile so you don't look so nervous. That's the magic l want to see when l wish to be entertained. Loved the violin music too. 🤩
I wished I could smile.... trying to hide how much pain I was still in....
@@chrisfunkmagic Oh dear hope you're better now? 🤩😍😘More of your work in the future please.👏
wow the smoothnes of this video
+Christian Sand Thank you!
This was great. I really liked it. That's why I love watching this show. It introduces me to so many great magicians I would have never heard of otherwise.
+astrosteve Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant performance! Very stylish! I like you character very much! And of course the violin playing! :-) _Have_ to see more of you...
Very classy performance, I loved it. Your sophisticated style and image reminds me of Channing Pollock. I wish you great success.
I love the violin playing was very well incorporated into the trick. I don't think I've seen other magicians use musical instruments. it's very unique and entertaining.
This was the best act I’ve seen. Fair play bro
It's the player, not the instrument. Excellent routine. Even if you didn't fool them - what a fun presentation! Loved it!
Loved it.
God bless you always ... good trick
great act
He's also known for doing amazing trickshots with his friends
one of the best act..
Thank you!
This was truly a great act. Loved it. The box disappearing took it to another level.
+Cracksafe Thanks! I thought so too!
yo... your proformance is flawless . great job man!
Thx!
Woah this is uncanny. Saw this guy as a kid, really cool.
it was entertaining like old high-quality spongebob episodes
I was so entranced by his playing that I at first didn't even notice the king of hearts rising from the deck.
I didnt feel fooled, but I sat back and really enjoyed it. Fun act
so so so cool!
HD and 60fps? YOU my friend deserve a like and a sub! Awesome trick :)
Lol. Thanks!
Great.. I love magic combine with music..
I feel so bad for this dude. He got on p&t and the thing he remembers most from the gig is that he forgot the ladies name.
Amazing
Cool you gave MJ a shout out on that
great magic
Aw this guy was so charming.
Thanks! :)
Nice it's always cool to see another Funk around the world! I too am a goofy dude...it must be in the lineage
Love you Chris.
Cool trick man!
I saw you with Murray in las Vegas, youre awesome!
Yeah! Thank you!! How've you been???
I literally died when I heard you call her Lisa, she didn’t even flinch.
Lovely! A pleasure to watch! I was crushed when the violin disappeared though. Big fan of luthiery.
+Steve Stout thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! No violins were hurt throughout this routine.
Awesome! Any chance of doing Chicago shows anytime soon?
You know you made it when the comments section don't have any wackos trying to explain how you did it. Loved every single second of it!!
He probably deletes them. It's his channel after all.
I enjoyed that Chris well done
Thank you!
Really nice performance.
awsome!!!
Really excellent charisma.
I hoped motörhead ace of spades for the song XD but the trick was great!
thought the same thing,,, R.I.P Lemmy
my thoughts exactly
Beethoven's Emperor Concerto playing in the background when the cards are being picked, fwiw!
+jsh31425 Beethoven's 5th piano concerto, adagio.
If you look closely there was a cut made by the producers when he says - Sean I want you cut half of the cards at 1: 45
excelent
Excellent trick!
Thanks!
Gahh watched you live when you went to our school! 🤘🏼
So fucking talented!!
Thank you!
I give this performance 4/4
You are ridiculously good looking. Very enjoyable and entertaining personality. And your tricks were amazing! I couldn't look away!
you're too kind. thank you!
Nice to see this after watching you & pals on a Chris Ramsay video, and of course that 5 minute, grueling "1 word answer" interview!
Professional quality act.
0:39 OUCH!!! you can hear the snap...
That's his hand hitting the floor silly.
In the video of the snap, it is my achilles snapping.... not my hand.... It was super loud.
Omg.... brutal! Glad you healed up!
Magnificent trick! You’ve got a wonderful stage presence. Out of curiosity, What’s the very first song that’s playing when you come out and select 3 people to come choose cards?
Funk you are really amazing.
Thanks Arun!!
my pleasure
Listening to the beautiful "Emperor" piano concerto, forgot I was supposed to be watching this guy ha
i can't think about anything now but my ache lies tendon balling up in my leg after snapping... ahhhhh fucking nightmare fuel.... lol
