Bangkok Hot Season Travel #3 | Charoen Krung Road: Bangkokian Museum, Warehouse30, madi Cafe

On our third day in Bangkok, we took the hotel’s speedboat once again to Sathorn Pier. From there, we embarked on a sweaty adventure down Charoen Krung Road under the scorching sun. Our original plan was to indulge in all the Michelin-recommended street food and stalls, but we didn’t manage to eat a single thing. First, we blamed the early hotel breakfast; second, we blamed Bangkok’s overly enthusiastic sunshine. Drenched in sweat, we turned what was supposed to be a culinary tour of the old town into a day of wandering like hipsters.
From Sathorn Pier, we headed north along Charoen Krung Road, visiting the Assumption Cathedral, the Bangkokian Museum, and Warehouse 30. Along the way, we stopped at a small café called madi on Charoen Krung Road and enjoyed a yuzu coffee and an Americano cultural coffee. If it hadn’t been so hot, I believe our wandering would have been even more enriching and fun.
Lastly, I have to ask - who can eat delicious but non-air-conditioned street food in Bangkok’s nearly 40-degree heat?! It wasn’t just the lack of air conditioning; even when we reached ICONSIAM, we didn’t feel like eating anything. My utmost respect to those travel UA-camrs. Respect!
