This is literally such a helpful video! I’m currently planning a trip to Guatemala and El Salvador. I’m definitely going to look into this. Did you book directly on bus website?
@@abi_shake How far in advance did you book? Also can you link the website? I'm getting third parties mentioning pullmantur. I'm wanting to go from Antigua to San Salvador
I took Pullmantur to go to Guatemala and back and the front seats were empty so I asked if I could sit there to record the view and they said no problem. The border crossing was smooth since we didn’t have to get off the bus on the Salvadoran side. I remember Megabus in the States when it used to be good. I used to take it from Long Island to Albany, NY. And yes, you must try pupusas while you’re here! Very candid opinion from the Uber driver who actually has seen the changes in security and how it affects his job. Your Spanish is great btw. Where did you learn?
@@CC-br9qg Well, I live here since 2015. El Salvador is now one of the safest countries to visit. I’ve seen the positive changes first hand. In San Salvador you must visit Centro Histórico with its 3 plazas. National Library, Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, Iglesia El Rosario is unimpressive from the outside but once you go inside you will be in awe (entrance on the side not the front and small donation requested), Iglesia El Calvario is a newly liberated area. There were so many informal vendors and shacks you couldn’t even see the church a few months back, now there are two parks next to it and the church is historic and beautiful. You can see dancers and musical groups in plaza libertad and in plaza Morazan you have the National Theater. From there you may want to jump to El Divino Salvador del Mundo by Uber or bus. It is the most iconic landmark in El Salvador. Not the biggest but the most representative of the country. Every Salvadorans identifies with it. You can also visit Museo Marte, the various shopping malls if you’re into that, El Boquerón National Park, Planes de Renderos to try pupusas, Puerta del Diablo with its impressive views, Lago de Ilopango a volcanic lake, Parque Cuscatlan, and many more things. Hope this helps!
