Hey sis. Great activity-specific review of this camera. We just got it late last year and have really liked the versatility it gives us for vlogging. We had been using a phone and this makes going from self-view to showing what's in front of me so much easier. Also the pans are much smoother due to the gimbal and tracking. Did you get the Creator Combo? It includes accessories that make shooting easier such as the battery extender and mini tripod. It also includes the mic which it appears you already have. Anyway great video! New viewers here!

I love the camera so far. i've had it sense around November 2023 and it pretty much goes with me everywhere at this point. I obviously use it at the gym but even moreso for family adventures/activities and it's been so much more convenient than lugging my Sony around. DJI really did wonders with this camera. It sounds like you are getting great use out of it too! Yes I did opt to get he creator combo. It just made sense for my use case! thanks again for your time and for sharing!

First! Thank you for watching and for the feedback. I did the same thing! Watched countless videos on it before buying even though I was SOLD after just a few. Normally I wouldn’t recommend jumping from one generation of something to the very next because it’s usually not worth the price difference for what you get but this third generation is leaps and bounds better than any gen before it. I use this more often than even my full frame camera that is 3 times the price lol. It just makes creating so much more accessible without really compromising on quality. I’d say do it sis! ….But ummm… don’t send me the bill! Lolol

Hi Thanks for watching! to be honest i just hop in Premiere Pro and adjust the highlights/darks/color wheels until i'm happy with how it looks . i'm not color grading pro so it is a tad bit time consuming. I've found a couple Luts that match the vibe i go for in my videos and will likely start using those moving forward! I appreciate the feedback and I hope mine helped!

Beautiful color grading.
In my opinion D-logM is so beautiful that it is not worth using any other color profile (I hope they also make it available in slow motion mode with a firmware update). It's a pity it doesn't also have a 6k, to be able to have a longer and sharper zoom
A truly crazy upgrade from DJI (the only lack is 6k to be able to have a greater and sharper digital zoom).
After that I love you, but that's another story.
Hi @andreasanna4844 ! Thanks so much for the feedback and for sharing your insights! I agree with you about the frustrations with the Slo-Mo color profile. I was worried that the difference in these clips was going to mess up my edit lol. But I did the best I could with it and I think it turned out fine. Would also like for the vertical footage to be able to get up to 4k. Both of these issues I think/hope can be fixed with a firmware update! But we'll see. Thanks again for reaching out and happy creating!
@@_whynotbefit_ meanwhile, the new firmware update has been released, with D-logM also available in slow mo mode and 10 bit also in normal profile.😎

Hey @whoisjustin5881! Thanks for the feedback and for reaching out! , it was really bright in the gym so I set my ISO to 100 , shutter speed was around 1/60, Auto WB, color profile was D-Log M. I did color grade it in post to get everything matched up as well as I could! Do you have a Pocket 3 as well? If so, how do you like it so far?

how easy was it to transfer content from the camera to the phone? or do you transfer the content to your computer for edits?....also off topic but LOVE your tattoo!
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! It’s no different than transferring any other data from a memory card to a device! Pop out the micro SD, then into a memory card holder, then into the computer it goes. I also have a memory card reader that can plug into my iPhone which is pretty much the same process! And thank you! It’s one of my favorite things lol!

Thank you! I hop between Premiere Pro and most recently discovered the Pro Version of Capcut's desktop software! There is a free version that's pretty comprehensive/comparable!
Thanks I have one of these waiting to be delivered for the same purposes as you but in my home gym! I feel like it will open up a lot more creativity once I get outside as well with workouts and rucks

vlogging with a legit camera is just silly these small cameras and action cameras are much better if anything make sure the audio is quality
I’m totally being picky with words here but these recently released small cameras and action cameras are definitely “LEGIT” cameras with specs comparable to or even more impressive than the full frame mirrorless setups! I’m super happy with this camera alongside my Sony A7IV! These companies are making magic with these little cameras! It’s even more dope because this one specifically comes with great internal/external audio!

If you are talking specs then there’s an argument here to be made. I’m not comparing the Pocket to a Sony A7Siii but up against an older model full frame Cannon or Nikon that people are still using… yea this pocket is better, especially for vlogging… But we’re all entitled to our own Opinions 😃.

Hey there! Thanks for your question. To capture the car footage I was using my Sony A7IV with a 24-70mm lens, also had a ND filter on because it was REEAALLLYYY sunny that day. As are most days in the desert!

Great catch! Fortunately I didn’t get any strikes on this video..likely because the actual audio was just in the background and not embedded in the video/upload.

Maybe some day DJI will come out with an official magnet mount, but there's some third party magnet mounts out there.
Hi! I actually made a follow up video to this one. Shortly after i posted this one of my amazing Subs sent me on an Etsy search and I was able to order one that same day. Got to me quickly and have been using it everywhere I see metal lol. Such a dope accessory for a dope camera!

Thanks for your question! Fortunately, I was gifted with “non sweaty hands” lol but in general having the battery grip on serves as kind of an extension making it a much more comfortable hold. You have much more to hold on to so in the event your hands were a little wet I don’t think it would easily slip out of your hands. Hope that helps!

Your English seems fine to me! Keep practicing 🙂! As far as your question, I was not using the wide angle lens and I had the camera on my tripod that I use for my regular camera! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Okay, but I mean when you hold it in your hand to record yourself, for example the first scenes that you are inside the car, you can see a lot of body, a perfect frame, it looks more closed to me, I imagine you distance her quite a bit, right? Thank you@@_whynotbefit_

Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question! I’m not in low light mode but I did have an ND filter on! Some of the LED lights in this gym make the shots really blown out so I tried to avoid that!
Can you convert the footage from the camera to your phone or does it have to go to the laptop/computer for conversion?
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question. I have an iPhone and there are adapters that allow you to put an SD/MICRO SD straight into the phone and pull the video/picture files, However,I rarely do that. 9 times out of 10 I’ll go from camera to computer, do my editing, then airdrop to my phone or wherever I need it! Hope that helps.
You can buy magnets thats has thread on it and buy a tripod swivel ball put them all together viola! dji pocket that can be attached to gym machines. =)

I’m really interested in the tracking features. How did you feel about those? Were they accurate or did they lose you a lot?
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question. I think the tracking feature is pretty accurate and very useful especially for how I use the camera in the gym. Just like with any feature nothing is perfect and I found sometimes when I’m further away it looses me but in general the tracking is powerful and consistent . Hope that helps!

I’m hoping it can take away at least some of the setup and breakdowns as now I could set this camera in one area and have it track me. Hi! i shot this is 4k, DLOG profile, had an ND filter in some of the shots in the beginning because it was so bright out. then just color graded in post. Exported/Uploaded in 4k. Nothing fancy, no magic tricks :-)

Yes I think I had the 64 on there. Otherwise the highlights were super blown out! Was really sunny that day, as are most days in Arizona!

Love the quality but not the audio 😭 idk. Wait sometimes the quality is changing, why? When you took the jacket off it was a CRISP. Is it slow mo or something ?!

Thanks for your feedback! Different features on the camera, like slo mo, decrease the quality from 4k (super annoying) Also ND filters can only do so much. When Shooting in dynamic and very very bright environments like a gym that is half exposed to the Arizona Sun and then artificial gym lights, it’s hard to get things perfect. I’m using the DJI mic that came with the creator combo, didn’t notice an issue with the audio. Thanks for watching though!

I don’t see that it’s dark in and of itself… It’s just darker than the first half of the video which was shot outside and/or in a gym that’s open to the Arizona sun, was just a really bright day out 🤷🏾♀️. But thanks for the feedback.

I bought the creator combo so all the accessories came with the camera. You’ll have to check the website for individual prices.

I guess it all depends on what you plan to use it for. In my opinion a 360 camera is more of an action camera. I would not categorize the Osmo Pocket 3 as an action camera.

The z-arm is great for filming top down over a table while your hands work on something. Both are must have's!

do you color correct or color grade this after using the osmo pocket 3?
hi! Yes i filmed in D-Log to get the most dynamic range and then color graded it. D-Log straight out of the camera looks really flat.

@@viralmozy Honestly i'm no pro, i just spin the HSL color wheels and adjust the Exposure, Temp, Saturation, Highs/Lows, until i like how it looks lol. Then i've recently discovered LUTs and have to do even less with those so i'm not sure i'd be the greatest resource for color grading tutorials, i'm a novice at best. I'll see about putting that type of video in the queue though! Thanks for the idea and i really appreciate the feedback!

I'm pretty sure magnets don't go well with gimbals. It'll affect the calibration. Best thing you can do is get one of those magnetic mounts by "snap mounts" screw it at the base of a selfie stick to add some distance from the camera.
@greensprite4979 thanks for your input, however, I think this risk would be true if we were talking about a different camera. Due to the size and weight of the Osmo Pocket 3 I’d imagine it wouldn’t require a magnet strong enough to disrupt the electronic components to be able to stick this to some metal surfaces found around a gym or home… but that’s just my non-electrical engineering background backed opinion and I’ve been wrong before 🤷🏾♀️ lol. What is your video setting?😊
I was shooting in DLOG M . All other settings were manual besides white balance because of how bright it was that day outside and in the gym so all the other settings were variable throughout the video.

I think it depends on the type of videos you want to make and if you plan to be closer or further away in your shots. If you plan to be really close to the camera in all your videos I think you could get away with just having the camera, however, it will definitely be limiting because audio quality most definitely matters!
