Absolutely true. I tried it yesterday. My whole right hand was relaxed. Even my pick moves a little bit with every pick up or down, which felt weird at the beginning. But I was not only able to play faster but also much more precise. And I didn't even had to think about it. It just worked. Lol.
Relaxed hands are the problem for me. Every time I start playing, I'm relaxed but the more I'm playing, the more muscle tension I have and then I'm playing worse and worse and the more perfect I want to play the more muscle tension I make.It also makes my thumb hurt on my fretting hand.
