The combier is cool.
A lot of people said they didn't like him when he was revealed, but I love him, the non-face, the lanky proportions, the colors, etc... He just looks awesome imo
Yeah, when they revealed him and said it’s like a ninja, I immediately love it. Kinda reminds me of Zero from Borderlands 2.

As a kid, ninja's, pterodactyls and transformers are my favorites. This is a must have figure for me.
My favorite part about these Fossilizers is getting to just rip them to pieces when you transform them. They have been the most fun I have had with transformers in a long time.

I wish the fossilizer had their own insignia.
When this line is done and over with, and if they release fossilizer box with each figure with a uniformed color scheme; I would totally waste money on it. This way when they combine, it will look more natural with the same color shade. Maybe that’s when they will receive their own group insignia.

I wondered if they are a Unicron-created team - like the Blendtrons (Beast Wars: Neo) that joined the Maximals and Predacons to manipulate the conflict.
I can almost guarantee they will come out with an alternate color scheme for him I might just wait for him, either way I can dig it

I’m totally okay with that. I just wish they were consistent. Annoying chance we’re gonna get a predacon recolor of this in a similar neon color scheme like tricranius & Transmutate.

I'm getting all the different colour schemes for them because I think it'll look cool all combined (tricranius, skelivore, and whatever the wingfinger one will be)

Well here is an Idea to give both sides the same unites. Recolor wingfinger Red and thus create the og Predacon Terrasaur (Instead of going transmetal he fossilized when falling into the lava) and thus then have the two combiners of said unites allowing both to have the smae just with some different colored figures.

@@Zman1025 OR and stay with me on this we get a special Generations Select box that includes the three Fossolizers and have them repainted into G1 Grimlock, Slug and Swoop colors and release them as Autobot Dinobots (Using the Tricranius mold instead of Ractonite.)

Not really a fan of any of the Weaponizers/Fossilizers in the WFC line, the only one I got was Brunt because I liked his big meaty tread claws.

Fossilizers are a very awesome concept which Hasbro is nailing according to me,really hoping we see this in the Netflix show. Great review as always PvP!
Despite the fact that I'm not into ninjas, or ninja-themed characters, this Fossilizer is my favorite out of the 8 confirmed (yes, I count Vertebreak and Dracodon even though they can't split apart like the Deluxes). Also, I love the idea of combining them into a "combiner" of sorts, but personally, I'm gonna use Transmutate and Tricranius with Wingfinger since they're Maximals.
@Screaming Soldier Me too. Though, I'll have to try and figure out some way of incorporating Skelivore's parts to be in place of Wingfinger's. Unless someone else uploads some solution(s) before then.

I ordered Wingfinger before I watched this video. But I'm glad I did watch this.
I have before successfully combined two Ironworks with a zetar and did a big robot, but I'm glad it seem to exist a build for the Fossilizers.
The combiner reminds me of the messy old Best wars combiners, mainly magnaboss
The gaping void where a face should be gives me flashbacks of that final fantasy creepypasta from a few years ago

I have hated the fossilizers from the get go but they have slowly grown on me. Would love to get transmutate and that flame version of ractonite for the maximal combiner I think that would look amazing together
14:16 for that issue if your figure does have female ports that are loose when a male peg is put in, a little bit of super glue can help tighten up the peg or port and help keep your transformers structurally sound

While not a fan of the individual figures, they do look good together as a group with each contrasting well with each other.
I can see Wingfinger in a new Beast Wars Reboot with him being like Prowl from Animated finding Organic life fascinating and being a Predacon turned Maximal and forming a kinship to Tigatron which they both would have a fondness to organic life

Got my Wingfinger yesterday and sadly the common misassembly on his legs made him quite unable to bend his knees, and I had to trim it to give him some range of movements
I agree, even I thought this figure would be the worst, but Now my mind has been changed and I am convinced by your review. Now I am looking forward to get all of 3 awesome fossilizers. Loved the combiner form as well. Amazing review as always PVP my friend. Till all are one.

I've heard whispers or something that there might be an alligator like fossilizer in the future
That Kingdom artwork had a Sabertooth tiger skeleton on Primal. I think as hoping for that. Really like that ice age beast and could have been a cool fossillizer. I dig these guys. I enjoy the more off the wall characters. Also like making the non mainline ones more my own. Their stories are unwritten so they can be anything. My son and I love the idea of these bones falling all apart and rattling together to form their various modes. Creepy cool!
Hope they make a box set with these, a more consistent color repaint maybe some weapons or effects parts. That would be pretty sick!

I always use the pterodactyl head as a massive buster sword. Kind of like what Sigfried and Knightmare from Soul Calibur use!
Well, you've pretty much sold me on Wingfinger, and I was already leaning toward buying him anyway. As for the combined mode, I was waiting until I had plenty of proof it wasn't another Arcee sisters situation, and this definitely counts, so thank you for that, as well.
Looks great. Thanks for showing the combiner. Can't wait to see the fossilizer combiner with the repaints. Skelivore, the magma colored triceratops and the still unknown wingfinger repaint.
3 down! Just need a Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus to complete the set! 😉
They got this guy on terrosaurs weight loss program. Though if Hasbro does do a predacon repaint of wingfinger, they should make the colors match Terrosaur before his death in the original series.

The colour scheme, the fact it's three robots combined, and the face poking out the mouth, all remind me of Magnaboss.

my favorite thing to do with the fossilizers is take Vertebreak and make Paleotrex and Ractonite into various different mech suits and vehicles for him.
Picked up this guy for $10 at a local comic store, 200% worth it

Yeah, Ractonite's foreleg ports are a bit loose on my copy as well. Not so loose that they flop or fall off of Paleotrex's pegs (or even the pegs they use for his Styracosaurus and robot modes) but looser than I'd like. Nothing a bit of floor polish won't cure. I might do it with his head as well so that the combined mode's waist feels more sturdy. Definitely looking forward to getting Wingfinger and seeing the combined mode in hand.

I think he's a Pteranadon actually, not a Pteradactyl. Major difference is size.

I love the fact they made a combined mode head. I hope they repaint this guy into a predacon so I can have an all-con combiner. It looks so cool combined though.

this is the first review ive seen on a Fossilizer character and ngl its kinda a let down that these are basically "take apart, put back together" sort of thing, i like the satisfaction of transforming my figures

honestly, I'm loving the fossilizer, they are so unique and fun

Please note: Wingfinger suffers a common missasembly, since Wingfinger is packaged, incorrectly having his shins placed backwards.
I originally wasn’t to bothered if I didn’t get the fossilizers but after this will definitely try to now
The pterodactyl head looks more like it would be a better cannon/bazooka weapon instead of a shield. Just open the mouth and possible port something barrel-like in there to represent a cannon of some sort.
I always looked at the fossilisers as a type of dead dino bot mainly swoop grimlock and slug
My name is Thomas I am the oldest son I built the kingdom guy like yours and made a gun for him with extra pieces
We need a spinosauros fossilizer, he is a maximal and his name is geosaur, his robot mode is buff but has that fossilizer type of body, his weapon is a hammer that separates and the hammer part becomes a spear head and you can put it back on the long handle, the weapon goes in the middle of the body like it’s being stored the other weapon is a spiny blade that forms his tail, his torso is a mix of the spino head and the legs, he has sharp claws and his legs are also apart of the man body of the alt mode(spino mode) his long back spine is made up of five spines and each of those in robot mode go on his back, he is the tallest one by only half a inch, his head is like a gladiator helmet and his face has four small purple eyes, two on each side, he is a darker gray, it’s like if your took ractonites color and made it darker, his alt mode is well a spino, his head has battle damage due to him being a destructive warrior. That is it, and also wingfinger can combine with him in robot mode and he gets extra arms that are also wings and the blades go onto the hammer and become a axe, that is it for geosaur, hope you like it😄
I might be a sucker for stocky Transformers, but Ractonite is definitely my favorite still. I get what they were going for here though, and I do think this works better in both modes than Paleotrex.

I'm not sure you mentioned in the video. but to me, the head on the back kinda resembles the wooden gadget box a ninja usually wears. Also, the proportion is just so much better compared to ractonite, which has those short legs.
I love each of the fossilizers as stand alone bots and that combiner is awesome. It's going to be hard to pick which way to display them.

I hope there is a Gen Selects version of WingFinger that is a Predacon so that you can have the Maximal combiner of Tricranius, Transmutate, and WingFinger and the Predacon combiner of Ractonite, Paleotrex and that Predacon version of WingFinger.
Maybe someone else mentioned it but you did miss one final step: You should take the rest of the ptera's skull and peg it onto the back of the combiner. This balances out the weight far better.

I can't help thinking these lads started out as a concept for bayverse dinobots as scanning fossils in a museum mid battle is the easiest way to explain their alt modes. Plus yer basically talking about the most popular 3 bots (grimlock slag n swoop).
I got wingfinger ages back for 7 euro and picked up ractonite for the same yesterday. After seeing the combiner again I'm seriously thinking of getting paelotrex as he's just been cut to 7 too.
So essentially I'm getting the combiner for 21 quid. Can't complain about that :)
Best fossilizer is obviously Transmutate, no questions for me... although I´ll end getting a WingFinger too for the combine mode.
To make your own combiner With the fossilises that’s awesome idea but hhhhmmmmm someone could break one of the plugs if there is so many and they might get confused but it’s awesome
Im giving the combined mode a name / new name: Bone King Chimera. Why Chimera? Well, when you think about it, its a mix of 3 different creatures, and a chimera is a mix of multiple creatures, so it works.
