    I do mine weekly. Nothing better than fresh sheets when you go to bed.

      I know. Freshly laundered sheets just smell so good and feel good as well.

    I change our bedding every week and if it’s good weather it all goes onto the washing line to be dried nothing better 🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      Oh my goodness. Abigail...sheets dried on the line. I don't know when I've done that. You are right. They do smell amazing when line dried.

      Lola! I like the idea of changing pillowcases midweek. Especially if someone has a cold or some such.

    I have always done weekly and never really thought about doing it differently! Very informative, thank you!

      Deb you just might be surprised how many people don't. Some people do once a month and hmmmmm. I just like the fresher alternative.

    I shower right before bed every night; my husband showers in the morning. We both work from home. I wash my sheets every Monday on the long, bedding cycle in my washer. I also iron my six pillow cases and the top part of my top sheet. Nothing better than crawling into a bed with clean sheets. I always say that if I had a maid I'd have clean sheets every day.

      Now Deanna I was right there with you until you mentioned ironing the pillow cases and top of the sheets. No thank you. When I was a girl we had to iron everything. My mom had us ironing sheets, pillow cases, table cloths, and my Dad's clothing, and more. I swore when I grew up no more ironing if I didn't have to. Hahaha! Can you tell I was having a flashback?

    I shower before bedtime, so I usually do it every 1-2 weeks. Always in hot water, soak time, and extra rinse.

      Nighttime showers do help get rid of the skin cells before bed. I must say there are so many reasons why people do what they do.

    One thing I miss...sheets dried outside on the clothesline. I'm unable to line dry where I live, and sheets dried in a drier, just not the same. And sunlight always kept them so white, too.

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  5 місяців тому

      Terri...line drying. I'd love to do that but my clothes line is not big enough for sheets. At least I don't think so. I love the smell of line dried sheets. So fresh.

    I shoot for weekly although, I admit, sometimes it ends up being every other week when life gets super hectic! Tfs 😊❤️

    We wash weekly here at home, husband runs very very hot so hes always sweating in the night. Our cat tends to visit us on occassion on the bed. He doesnt sleep there but i swear cats leave hair just "looking" at something. And yessssss about the feet in the bed! Summertime when we do walk barefoot, i INSIST my husband wipes his feet down with wipes or washes them before bed i cant get into bed with dirty feet! Great video mrs denise!!❤

      Hi Elizaberto. Thank you for jumping in on this video with a comment. Do me a favor and would you go to the community tab and vote on the thunmbnail? I'm trying to do better but don't want to go off the deep end so let me know your thoughts on this. Oh...and yes. Barefeet in the bed. I remember my little sisters beds were always so grimy from them running around in barefeet. They were sweet but a handful.

    I need more bedsheets I think.😊

    • @homemakingwithdenise
      @homemakingwithdenise  5 місяців тому +1

      Dalidizu, all you need are two sets of sheets per bed. One in the wash and one on the bed. Switch those out. You don't need to buy a bunch more.

      I'm right there with you. Every Monday I strip the bed and wash the sheets. I let the bed air out and then remake the bed with fresh sheets.

    Thank you. Good topic! I am a weekly washer myself. I had to switch to sensitive skin detergent and really miss the nice scents and I haven’t found a good solution to that.

      I am allergic to most synthetic fragrances but natural ones don't bother me. Truly Free has a great refillable one that is scented with essential oils.

    I painted my five-drawer chest and got paint all over the clothing I wore during it and it didn't come out after two wash cycles. I do mine weekly.

      Hi Jean. Painting can be a bit messy. Were you wearing an apron? That would have saved your clothing. thanks for stopping by.
