i started playing guitar in april 94 because i watched (late) that mtv lithium, and i thought: "what a good excuse the guitar is so i could scream like in a fight but without a police call on me, it's even considered art and that guy gets applauses and prizes and is cool, and everything he is doing is actually misbehaving, screaming"
@kkrsnn5632 i saw it on tv but 2 years later when he died and became extremely famous. we had no mtv, but the local tv channel pirated the mtv but with very poor image quality. i recorded it on vhs and watch it many times. also the sliver video. there was no internet back then, i was 16 and no money. a friend borrow me his cassette of nevermind so i did a copy, and then i bought the cd called europe 1991, the concert where they played Talk to me. that was all i had for 2 years. then i recorded on vhs the heart shaped box video. then i bought guitar and did a band where i did the role of cobain 1995 to 1998. i grew my hair, destriped jeans. i bought by mail list quite expensive 15 nirvana vhs from concerts. also i visited barcelona calle tallers searching for pirated cd's like outcesticide. i was the first person in my city, sabadell, wearing a nirvana shirt that i gotbinna poster shop called berkerkle. nowadays those t-shirts are auctioned for over 400. and you know, after the posthumorously release of the unplugged nirvana became way more famous. i already had the unplugged years before at low quality cassette, then the tshirts became fashion like a nike logo, worn by people who doesn't even heard nirvana. til this day i still can sing screaming. bacause in that band when i was 16 to 19 we had a very low volume microphone and i managed tovyell over the loud band. after that i wasted my time playing alone instrumental soloist guitar improvisations for 20 years, then around 2011 i started home recording studio, because i visited a friend who had one home studio and he just sung a cover to radiohead's pa. android and he was like now it is your turn, sing, and i wasn't singing since 1997, and to our surprise the timbre of my voice matched too much to thom yorke's. so i got my first computer 2011 even if i took one year class of the computer language basic when i was 10 years old back in 1988? when computers were 512k. so gradually switching from guitar to virtual instruments, i was able to make full orchesta, rap beats, electronic music, you name it, with reasonb5 program, and clicks of just one button a la morse code, way better musicality than the previous 2 decades of guutar including 7 years all day long practicing at guitar loops from korg kaoss pad 3 improvisations so i ended up switching to modernized singing in daw with plugins. then i ended up making this piano you see in my thumbnail that i invented early on during high school in 1997 in my grunge active era. most singers who visited my studio doesn't dare to scream at the top, like in tourette's. i am same height as cobain, 1.82 meters, reason why i believe the thickness of our throats must be quite similar size as to be able to do his techniques. i don't publish my music is secret.
Congratulations for these videos, they remind us that Kurt is still there in our guitars in our records but above all he will remain engraved in our hearts, Nirvana forever!
The Tom strat and the VMA strat are my top two favorite strats I love their tones!! Your strat is very very accurate for a slight different model, very good demo!!
Thanks Eric for another amazing video, always look forward to your uploads! Duuude the Hot Rails sound incredible, might get myself some and put them in my old strat. Love the tones with the SansAmp, great playing as always 🙌
Thank you so so much for the support! I’d highly recommend trying out hot rails, I think a strat with hot rails is one of the best guitar set ups I’ve tried so far 😃
This video is making me rethink having Vandalism as my favourite Cobain Strat 😂 The VMA strat sounds absolutely monstrous through the sansamp and DS-2!
Hi, I love your videos, they make my day, and I enjoy playing the Nirvana tune with my team, your work is incredible to me, how you hit on everything Kurt Cobain needed in life to play in Nirvana. Maybe this has nothing to do with Nirvana, but I want to get these amazing tones from other bands, I would like your advice, thanks . Me encanta tu trabajo 🐱
Awesome video as always. (They’re the highlight of my day) I was thinking about how cool it would be if you did a 12/30/93 tone or a 12/31/93 Oakland tone because late December is my fav era of the In Utero tour. Thanks as always.
Hi Eric! Your videos are the best and your one of my favourite youtubers 😊 Could you do a history video on the sunburst reading strat? Its one of my favourite Kurt strats 🤩
Love your Channel!! I’ve gone from early Green Day tone chasing to Kurt’s. I’ve gotten a 96 Jagstang, 80’s DS1 and DS2, a reissue Sansamp and I can’t get a tone that sounds as good as yours; I’m thinking it must be your amp. I’ve got a 1979 Roland JC120, Galen Krueger RL250, Randall RVC 5 watt tube, and a shlew of homemade tube amps… My question to you is, have you tried other amps with your gear? Did you feel like your twin reverb is really essential in getting the tone?
“Preserving your hearing long term is so lame. Only real guitar players want to be half deaf by their 30’s” In hearing loss the high end is the first to go, so makes sense that you can’t hear the fizzy treble here

I saw that performance live on tv. It was epic.

I was inspired by you to build my vma strat ty for introducing me to this amazing guitar.
That’s an honor thank you! So happy to have introduced you to this awesome Kurt guitar 😁
Can’t wait to hear that black strat you just got in a video!
The Tom strat and the VMA strat are my top two favorite strats I love their tones!! Your strat is very very accurate for a slight different model, very good demo!!

Nice video dude! Ur tones are the best!!
Wow thank you so much!
This video is making me rethink having Vandalism as my favourite Cobain Strat 😂 The VMA strat sounds absolutely monstrous through the sansamp and DS-2!
I really like how you chose some of the more obscure tracks for the tone demo!
You always do an excellent videos no need to apologize but appreciate it and everything you do preserve correct history
5:33 MARIGOLD

bro thank you sm for the video abt the drain you paris performance i finally found all the parts 🙏
babe wake up new nirvanaguitars video
I lobve how you make so many video’s about this(Not so populair) Nirvana guitars. Good work Eric!❤
should totally do a tone recreation of the 'blew' single, ie stain and been a son "blew ep version''!
You should do 1987 kaos radio session tone
that guitar through the sansamp is absolutely brutal sounding, i’d love to hear more tones done with that combo
8:55 love the inclusion of Boston's more than a feeling that they jokingly played.
31 years ago was Live and Loud ❤

Hi Eric! Your videos are the best and your one of my favourite youtubers 😊 Could you do a history video on the sunburst reading strat? Its one of my favourite Kurt strats 🤩
I legit thought he was going to do a tone remaster of Live And Loud, considering that today is the anniversary, but this is a pleasant surprise!
My favorite guitar

I'm not the biggest fan of the vma strat cleans but wow the distortion sounds great I might consider getting that pickup at some point lol
Ok playing honeybucket is really badass
Cool amazing music
Beeswax has to be by far my favourite nirvana song.
New Vid! What about a beehive tone remake video?
Good idea! I'll add that to my list
How close the volume knob is to the bridge PU. Damn
I have a random question what is the purpose of the red Marshall in the background in live and loud and the heart shaped box music video ?
hey man, cAN YOU PLEASE GET A GIBSON RD BASS AND RECREATE SOME KRIST NOVOSELIC TONES?? MAINLY THE PARAMOUNT ONE??? PLEAASEEE🙏🙏🙏🙏
Dudeeeeee, I just scored a mesa boogie studio 22 preamp and an old crown power base 2 Poweramp.
😊
Simply amazing. Could you try to replicate you know your right live aragon ballroom 🙏
Does anyone know the values of the pots? I put hot rails in the bridge of a strat and I like it but i want the most precise sound for Nirvana.
What did you do with your old VMA Strat eric, and are you still going to use it still in your videos are you going to change it and your first strat
I sold it on eBay shortly after completing this build
What’s your fav nirvana song???
Come As You Are, Dive, RFUS 🎸
Pls give us more bleach era content, with the hi flier, epiphone and Stella
Just wondering, what camera do you use?
can anyone tell me how he has the ds2 at max level but the volume difference to clean is almost non existent? is it bc the preamp?
Did he use this guitar in Live at reading 1992?
No he did not
Your amazing man😭🔥🫶
i know this might be ignored, but can you do a tone reaction of The Jins? they're extremely similar to Nirvana
Sorry but I have never heard of them
@@NirvanaGuitars you should give them a try if you wanted to, love the vids btw
Can you do a cover of "talk to me"
Did kurt ever use a strat live with single coils
he did use single coil (neck) for About a girl Reading 1992, and single coil (bridge) for Blew Live and Loud 1993
@PimonPlays I knew something sounded weird in live and loud
Please bring a Mosrite Gospel to your collection.
bro I had to skip class to watch this video 💀
What is your favourite guitar?

Needs MORE FIZZY TREBLE !!
But seriously, you do look like the type of kid who wears ears plugs AT ALL TIMES when playing…

You done commenting the same thing multiple times yet? You seem like the type of kid who just discovered UA-cam today
