- Welcome back guys!
In this video, I'll show you guys how easy it is to replace the fog light bulb on a 2015 Honda CR-V. This should be relatively similar on other Honda vehicles. The whole process takes less than 4 minutes!

I've had my CR-V for over 8 years and this is the first exterior light I'll have to change. Looks very easy! Thanks!
My wife's 2016 took a direct hit from a rock. Thanks for saving me a trip to the dealer! It was easy thanks to you. I was ready to start tearing out the under-carriage cover!!!
Superb video...straight to the point & no faff. Cheers
Use a plastic pry tool to start removing the trim at the inside point.
The #2 screw is seized tight. Break it loose with a clutched powered screwdriver.
When replacing trim coax upper middle tab above lens assembly.
Thanks. This is much easier than accessing from the back or under.
Thank you this video is exactly what I needed!!
Brilliant video. Light not working after hitting a deer. Had no idea how to get into this light and was dreading a visit to my local dealer!
Thanks for the help. Also, you made my day when you fumbled the original bulb. 😅🤗
Haha it was so cold that I lost my grip 😂
Thanks, just changed the lights on my wife's CRV. Thank so much for the info, super helpful!
No problem, glad I could help!
Thanks for sharing your video. It really helped.
This was great, except it took me 10-15 minutes of fighting with the trim to get it off, and then another 10 minutes and an emergency call to my dad the mechanical engineer to get the screw moving. After that … easy as pie!!
Thanks for this! Perfect!
Wow thanks so much for the help! So glad I don't have to go to the mechanic now to change my light. Can do it myself!
No problem, glad it helped you out!!
Good job man 👍 I like the video. You have a new subscriber now!
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it 🙂
Brilliant vid thank you
Thank you so much, someone hit my daughter’s CRV so bulb and trim around it need replacing. I will give it a try.
Excellent
nice video thanks
Thanks very helpful. I have the led bulbs and plan to replace all bulbs high/ low and fog light bulbs soon.
Highly recommend switching to LEDs! The illumination offered is way better than the stock halogens
Helped me,,thanks
Thank you for your video.
No problem, glad to help!
Nice. I tried from the wheel well and looked and said has to be another way. My trim was not as easy. Thin putty knife helped.
It did take some amount of force to take it off and did feel like it was going to break at one point!
DIY Detail that is where the putty knife helped. Slide it in to free up some of the locks
Thank you!
Glad to help!
thanks

thank you for the video. This appears to be simpler than from the wheel side....will definitely try it.
Will it work on 2017 Honda CRV as well?
No problem! I’m not too sure if they still use the exterior trim piece like the earlier models. If they do, I believe it should still work!
Wow. you mean I don't need to disassemble the entire car 😮
Anyone who has ever worked on cars for years knows dropping a bulb like this happens. He could've edited and did another take but I'm glad he didn't because this is reality. Good video.
Appreciate the kind words, thank you!
Honda should make the 1st cover piece metal, otherwise it is easy to break it when take it off.
Could you give detail how to do step 1? I tried many times and failed ☺️
Sure! This was done on a 2015 CRV, which uses the push-tab trim but it’s best to check your manual to see if your model year is this push-tab trim or a screw-in trim. At first it’s tricky but if you feel around the trim, you’ll feel a hole where only one finger really fits. After you manage to get your finger in there (it’ll slightly hurt), you want to pull the trim directly towards you. If you’ve never taken the trim off, it’ll be stuck on there and need some force. After it’s released, carefully pry it from the sides. You could also try to use a trim tool around the outer trim but be careful not to scratch the paint. Hope that helps!
Stuck on step 1. Cant remove plastic trim. Help
What year is your CRV? It seems like some models actually use a screw to hold it in place but checking your manual can easily confirm if this method will work
Never got passed step 1. I used my finger to pry the trim, then my finger broke along with broken clips… had to replace the entire fog light unit.
For the life of me, I can't seem to pull the trim piece off >.
Haha I struggled with it at first. It took some force to pry off if this is your first time taking it off. After this, it’ll be easier to remove
There are a few tabs that need to be unclipped first. Ideally using plastic pry tools.
What kind of trickery is this......it does not come out like this......used a screw driver too and still won't come out
This was done on a 2015 model. The newer ones seem to have screw holding it in place so you have to go through the wheel well. If yours is also 2015 then it should be the same. It does require a lot of force if you never took it off before. Best to check the manual if it’s a different year
@@DIYDetail mine is a 2016
I checked on Honda’s website for a 2016 manual and it’s the same way as shown in this video. If you have the manual handy, it’s on page 463!
Stop your lying it do not remove like that
Haha I wish but sadly, this is how it has to be removed
