Smashed himself in the head with the mic when he slammed the stand down, then checked his head twice to see if he was bleeding!! (Just before he introduced Billy) Amazing show and Ian’s voice was better than ever. Didn’t fancy the support act but I must say I was mesmerised. Not really my cup of tea but what a voice Jonathan Hulten has, I’m glad I seen him.. I don’t think I will ever be a massive fan as not my cup of tea, but you done a great job supporting sir!
Great gig - capped off brilliantly by the old favourites. Really tight band and Ian's vocals the best for a very long time - helped by the good acoustics in the new Colston Hall!
It always will be to me, and I suspect to anyone over 40. I hate all this trying to rewrite history; it reminds me of the book burning in Orwell's 1984.
I think he is adding rhythm guitar throughout- quite low in mix but you can hear it. Fills out the sound. Great performance and truly live- unlike a lot of big stars these days.
Good evening! Thank you very much for sharing your videos, which are in very high visual and sound quality! Please, do you have the other songs from the show? If you have them and it is possible to share them, I would be very grateful. Hugs.
Great tune….WTF is Ian wearing ? Alrighty then…. Anyways always been a huge “The Cult” fan. Great stuff and they still sound great. I traveled to go see them in Shreveport, La in like 88/89 ? Billy Duffy’s amp was having issues and he ended up kicking them all off the stage mid concert…lol.
Pure class, thank's for posting!
Time flies... the first time I heard this tune I was walking into the Virgin record store on Oxford Street London 35 years ago.
My jaw just dropped to the floor. They are still so so good! Incredible stamina!
Nobody ever mentions Billy Duffy when talking about great rock guitar players. Well they should! He is immense!!
a tune master
Ian Astbury's vocals are on point and have stood the test of time!!! Epic performance here and the crowd is fully aware of the moment!
If your feeling a bit down this is guaranteed to cheer you up one of the great feelgood records.

Saw him not seen.

Billy Duffy is a GOD!!
Thanks so much for sharing. Was right down the front. Top 3 gig of the year. What a band ❤
Fantastic wasn’t it. One to remember
@ Absolutely. Knew it’d be good but not THAT good!!
IAN WAS ON GREAT FORM

Going to the Newcastle gig on Wednesday the 30th. Can’t wait 🎸🎸🎸
Brilliant band

Saw them in ‘89……so glad to see this……

CLASSIC
🎸🎤🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️
Who was the dude hiding behind the wall by the bass player... playing something...😮???
I never noticed him. Thought it was an impressive sound from 1 guitar
Ai guitarist
40 years and never knowingly singing the same song the same twice!
2nd guitarist at the side, presumably playing the acoustic break.

I can't see why he can;t be on stage as he's 'doing his bit'.
@@flym0 I think because he is not in the band and people buy tickets to se what they perceive as the band as it once was for nostalgic reasons.

10 out 10 sound but he took my granny s Sunday shopping dress. Will he give it back
When did Ian start speaking with an American accent?! If you watch early interviews he sounds nothing like this at all
Rushing the tempo a bit ……. One of my fave songs though…. Shame to rush it
Sound incredible 10 out of 1o. But my grannie wants her clothes back. Please it’s her Sunday. Shopping dress.
Too fast.
What the hell is he wearing 🙄
You don't love everyone there and telling everyone to be kind with one another 🤦
Looks japanese, could be Yamamoto.
Thanks for turning American..........What's with the Yank accent/attitude Ian?
To be fair, I think he grew up in Canada
@@ottohoulihan2743 He's always been a bit of a twat. Animal charisma... but yeah.
