Buddy ... congratulations on your production. Insane channel opening including the soundtrack. The height of the perfect song enhancing the narration. The caprice in editing the video, the care with the scenery, lighting are perfect. The immersion of the video invites you to watch it in full screen. Congratulations on the professionalism in your production. If I were a manufacturer in the industry I would send all my products to your channel.
Absolutely love the all glass front on this one (unlike some other monitors which have a metal chin below the glass). Paired with the symmetrical bezel its a killer look. As a sucker for for asthetic, I apporve.
I have one for a few months now too. I've got mixed feelings a bit. I had to sent one panel back because off terrible striping issues. The new one is a lot better, but I still see some very faint stripes. Like every 4th pixel row. Also was disappointed by the kvm switch. You can't use it with 2 PC systems, only works with thunderbolt and normal USB. Aside from that it's a nice screen, love the hockeypuck, use it all the time.
As always your videos come right on time. I am thinking of replacing the HDR TV I am currently using with a monitor. This BenQ seems the right fit for my needs. Thanks for the very informative content Andrey, and keep up the good work! ;-)
I have always used good monitors (CRTs back in the days, very good and expensive ones, then flat panels) in my life, never TVs. Though since I moved in UK, ten years ago, I went from a laptop (a Dell Precision M5600), which I used for almost four years, to a desktop PC (actually a tower hehehe) and I just couldn't afford the same level of monitors I have always been used to have. A good TV costed much less. Now I really want to go back to monitors. :-D
Would you please consider doing a video on switching from Mac to PC? For people who have used Macs for 10/20+ years and have never used a PC. What is it like for a sole trader, a freelancer, troubleshooting and maintaining a PC vs Mac. What are the positives and negatives, from an artists' perspective and also someone who produces art for a living. Thank you Andrey and hope you'll consider.
It would be amazing if you will refer to screen calibration topic, which is a bit overlooked or very confusing to a lot of vfx artists / video editors.
How does this one compare to the other BenQ PV3200PT 4K 32" monitor that you reviewed last year? Which one would you ultimately recommend for professional Color Grading and VFX work? Thanks!
If you dont need 4K i highly recommend Dell p2720dc. It’s a 2560x1440 display with almost the same features as the BenQ and it costs under a 1/3 of the price
Hi. Thanks for your video, it is extremely useful same as always. I need to purchase a new monitor and BenQ PD2700U was one of my choices. I need to color-grade and make DCP mastering so I need an appropriate monitor. Your monitor is higher in price range but despite its lower price BenQ PD2700U has 10 bit color and DCI-P3 specs too. So what can be a reason to choose your monitor over PD2700U. Thanks for your answer in advance.
The size I guess, it’s quite a big difference influencing the price. The color specs are similar indeed with the only difference that your choice covers 100% of Rec709, which should be tiiiiny bit better for video. I’m grading in P3 usually
@@AndreyLebrov Yes, I agree. The size of the monitor matters. Probably I should decide considering the budget. Thanks for the answer. Waiting for new videos of yours.
@@rufatray2485 Hey man. I got the PD2700U recently. It's true the colors and quality of this model are stunning. Unfortunatly the uniformity of the panel is a shame. you can see with your own eye don't even need a color sensor to see the shift of temperature on uniform colors such as white and grey. Mine was gooing from yellow on the left to blue on the right. People will say oh you had no luck but i'm not the only one in this case. It's crazy how Benq played the card and pretend it's "pro designer monitor" and offer such poor panels quality for a monitor over 400€.. So personnaly I changed for a Dell U2718Q, colors are a bit less impressive than the benq, and the panel is a bit too reflective. but the uniformity and overall quality is worth its price got it for 450€

Hey Dude do you have a Video what specs are in your computer or can you recommend some for Animation 3D and also 2D. Thanks in advance ur an inspiration!
Hi Andrey, nice review video as usual. I was just wondering, because I am a curious guy, do you have any chance to get your hands on Asus ProArt PA32UCX Monitor so far? I should be really nice too. And I was wondering, if it is possible for you to share your thoughts on the new cinema 4D Moves by Maxon application? Did you already use it or will you in the future? Maybe another topic for a video, I guess...stay healthy
I downloaded the app but haven’t used it yet 😄 you reminded me about it. As for ASUS, well if they would offer I’d try it out. I’ll have a look maybe I can request one
Andrey Lebrov 😅 nice. It would be nice to hear your thoughts about it. Because I don’t really find some reviews or case studies about it. Awesome! That would be nice too 🙂
Great videos, good balance of technicality :) have any plans on doing a video about working with wacom in cinema 4d- setup; workflow, tips and tricks xD
Andrey you said you don't use after effects but I think the animations in your videos are looking like after effects, or you are using Fusion? Also Premier for editing? I would love to see more about your process of video editing, color grading...I own other Benq model and I am pretty happy...
I never said I’m not using AE for infographics 😄 not using it for compositing, and lately doing some infographics in fusion too. Davinci Resolve for editing and grading. Premiere is pretty much in same position as AE in terms of optimisation - total balloons 🎈
A quick question why my Benq PD3220U hooked up to the macbook pro mid 2015 using display port has so blurry text in native resolution, 60Hz? It happens exactly the same with HDMI. Is it my 5 year old macbook pro, so I should change it to the newest macbook 16 with thunderbolt 3 or it’s normal due to lower ppi comparing to the macbook’s display with retina?
Price not dropped, they are just people who are selling used ones for half of the price, but that peoples account wish to be better(no reviews or bad reviews only) and I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy from them, it is better if you want to buy one like this is to have new one.
